You're all over it my Man. I'm a fit 70 y.o. whose misconception of the pivot has marred my potential. I sort of self discovered this a little while back but this is the icing on the cake. Thank You: it's taken me forty years to find this.
Respect from a grateful Aussie
Well I’m glad to have affirmed your discovery and glad you’re with us. Keep at it 🏌️♂️👍
Makes a lot of sense. Makes the back swing more natural
Yes indeed
This was a big help to simplify my back swing. I get stuck a lot and sway under pressure. This 'trick' is easy to get. Combined with video on placing triceps on top of chest at setup, seems like finding a couple 'gold nuggets' just when I needed them most. Thank you.
Very glad to hear both resonated and nudged you in the right direction! 💪
Oh Man! Tanks a lot. Spend decades turning around….awkwardly standing up on top of back swing:(((( You opened my eyes…
It’s a game changer for many to think a little differently. Let us know how it goes 👍🏌🏽
Great Tip... I felt like After addressing the ball, drop/ turn left shoulder towards the ball. Wonderful!
That’s it :) 🏌️♂️
I mentioned a few weeks ago, week one in golf league, I shot a 41, best score ever for me, I am a 12 handicap, the next week I was back to 50 and I was getting into my old habits of too much turn, trying to hit the ball further and my swing was out of control for me, my focus now is only 3/4 back and swing through, too much turn and I am a disaster, spraying the ball all over. I can hot almost no turn, kind of armsy, and hit more accurate shots than too much turn, I have to drill this into my head, just shoulder up and hip up, no turn, of course week one I was putting great, now I am back to a lot of 3 putts, gotta love this game, thanks for the great tips.
Well done for keeping at it. Learning what works for you and sticking with it is key. Keep at it 🏌️♂️👍
Thank you for an incredible video! I know this will help me greatly!
My pleasure and stick with it. 🏌️♂️👍
Getting the lead shoulder down was a big haha moment in my progression towards something that resembles a golf swing. The second one was figuring out how to get the trail shoulder to replace it in the down swing, preferably slightly ahead of the club face. Mastering that not so simple sequence, I believe, is the key to having a consistent golf swing. I’m still working on it and watching your videos so I can someday play golf and shoot lower than my age before I turn 80
It’s a big benefit move and yes takes a bit to trust it. Keep at it and you’ll get there 💪🏌️♂️
Wow !!!!!! awesome, Thanks for the great video !!
Thanks and put it into action and let us know how it goes 🏌️♂️👍
This is by far the best explanation and help for my issues, it takes the thought of hands, arms etc where are they? I’m 57 athletic but do suffer lower back pain! But this seems to not hurt as much? Question once at the top what is your thought coming down? There are so many? Pull the left hand, turn the hip etc etc! This could be the final ingredient!
That’s so wonderful to hear and sorry I missed this! It sounds like you are forcing it all too much. Try a sense of heavy arms and the club falling with your back to the target for a little longer and then let it fall through with rotation as an occurrence. A recent published video on the full swing shares that somewhat 💪🏌️♂️
excellent!
Thank you! Cheers!
This teaching segment is interesting. Completely understand what you’re saying but it sounds like another way to simply make a backswing while staying in the proper posture. If you turn the shoulders flat then the posture at address was lost. If the posture is correct meaning bend from the hips, then hips, shoulders, and core all rotate (pivot) on the same plane as the incline established at address. Sound correct?
Keeping the same pivot and tilt is key. Got a lesson coming soon on it and the nuances :) 🏌️♂️👍
Great
Hope it’s helping
Nice

I find once I drop my shoulder towards the ball my hips fall into place. Does this make sense?
Does this work with the driver only
What about with Irons and wedges
Video coming very soon on the specifics !
In your Driver video, you said right hand down leg tilt. In this one it's opposite. ??
It’s a different cue. I mention that I prefer trail side up here as well
Cours de golf en français
I think alot of people (never discussed in youtube videos) are tilting the shoulders, not the body. We hear tilt tilt tilt, and instead of bending at the hip, then just rotating the body on that plane, they (and i) are just rotating around and then tilting the shoulders and chest, making it look like we are on plane, then doing the same thing only the other way on the downswing. This bends the spine and majes you lose all power. Once i learned to keep the spine angle straight and rotate the body around it i got waaaaaay more power. So do not tilt the shoulders making the spine sway in the top of the body, tilt the entire body. Not the shoulders😁
I was onboard with everything up until the raise the right hip part. It looks identical to turning but I guess I'm just not understanding how to feel like I'm raising the right hip.
It’s feel vs real. The act of “turning” usually goes too flat etc
I am not feeling it either. The left shoulder down is easy but raising the hip is not. I tried it several times but isn't coming naturally...maybe is just me.
@@cperez5614 try blending trail side shoulder up same as hip up. Similar result different cue.
let the trail leg straighten some >>@@TheArtofSimpleGolf
got any tips for 80 yr. old man.
This helps many. Most of our lessons are suitable for those a little more “experienced” in life :) 👍🏌️♂️
