Few poets inspire me to the heart of myself, as Lowell. I love this man's mind and words. He recites poetry is such a non-dictatorial way. Lowell you deserve your place in history. One extra-ordinarily intelligent man. #RoleModel
Mr. Lowell here is quite excellent and satisfying in his stumble-humanitarian grace and artists' liking for exceedingly fleet, ever out of hand perfection, who yet - on s/he goes... as to questions of death or the progress or not of Poetry - one answers with one's work, or not. - further - `one does wish to be a good dentist.'
What year was this? Mid-1970s? (since post-Dolphin...) He was living in England then. Would love to hear more about this reading (event? occasion?) Amazing to hear & see him read from Life Studies & For the Union Dead. Wouldn't have guessed his voice's soft southern breathy enthusiasm in key phrases & the self-effacing, humorous Boston Brahmin afterthought quality of his asides and introductions. Yes, please get one of these YT film-to-digital restorers who make 100-yr-old clips clear & sharp. If money is an obstacle, there is surely funding from a source such as NEA or Poetry Foundation. This rare treasure deserves better clarity.

Man, I was really upset, as I usually am, and this made me happy.
Thank You. Like finding a treasure.
This is great but the skipping is trying to kill me.
Technical quality spoils it dreadfully. Should be removed and replaced by a better version. An insult to a great poet.
You’re hired, Tom. Get busy and fix this for the benefit of mankind
