I restore old Yamaha's and love seeing the art you showed in your repairs. I dont have the best tools and its great to see someone doing the best job with the best tools.
It was well worth the wait for achieving such a beautiful end result, but looking at it no one will ever imagine that this was a burnt instrument I believe that it should have retained somewhere a piece of it's history along the lines of Kintsugi but for wood, it would enhance it's character.

Repair of the of the headstock, especially the back, was truly amazing. I bought a banjo that was in a fire. I sold it to a friend who had it repaired. I tell him he’s the first to have a torrified wood instrument.
Dude, honestly am a loss for words. The way this guitar was at the beginning of this series, I didn't have faith and hope for that guitar, but you went and turned an already handmade amazing instrument into something truly special. Excellent Job on the restoration.
I hope this series helps to reduce the general impression of "reduce" quality from Asian builders. I do understand there can be quality control issues, but they are in every factory around the world if you look hard enough for it. But this series is just one example of one Luthier's skills and dedication to the craft. Super happy you could revive that L-55. Thanks for sharing!

They have a saying in Hindi "Sab Kuch Milega" which basically means "everything is possible" , this exquisite craftsmanship proves exactly that.... Absolutely Amazing and these Yamaha Guitars are second to none... Thank You 🙏

Absolutely amazing work. I have an old 1981 Yamaha fg340II and I love it. Been playing 26ish years and I love luthiery. I fix guitars part time, but nowhere to this degree and skill
This video made me realize how important veneer is to guitar making especially when it comes to restoration projects! Oh and the music played was superb! Lovely music ogsworks!
