I remember playing this game countless times on my local arcade when I was a kid! I didn't know it was an obscure game as it was a huge part of my childhood.
I remember playing this in the arcades! I love the 2D scaling when the camera would zoom in and out on the track. It was a really fun game. There was also another arcade game just like this that was made by Atari called World Rally. I don't think World Rally was ever released out side of arcades either.
I used to be a sub of yours a while ago, but when you seemed to run out of ideas and started doing box art continuiously, I went away, now your on form again, and I love the fact you now appear in your videos :o)
@InecomCompany - Another great review! Kind of weird 720p isn't available before the thumbnail was up. Also, this may be a brand new record for the longest amount of post-footage after the ending red screen!
Not being into fighting games much, this is quite possibly my favourite Neo Geo game. Always want to call it Neo Drift Masters though, like Neo Turf Masters.
I really hope they make this for the Neo Geo X. That thing works decent on TV and a heck of a lot cheaper than the AES and doesn't have load times like the CD. Not really the best of both worlds but it gets the job done.
I remember playing this game a few times in the arcades, but it was soooo hard. Is it my memory playing tricks one me or was there another very very similar game out too?
I played the shit out of this game back in the day. I preferred this than World Rally (which is a better game in my opinion) because it was much easier and I could beat it with one credit. A great choice for those days in the arcades with a 'tight budget".
Such a shame hamster haven't brought this to modern consoles.. yet HAVE ported the two other vastly inferior neo geo driving games.. I really hope they reconsider.
one of the greatest racing games for the era I love it and I want it but I dont want to sell a kidney to buy it, too damn expensive. That is where the 161 in 1 cart enters.
happened to me too. from what i hear there is a subscription glitch that insubscribes you from channels. its been a problem for a while from what i hear. buy youtube hasnt really done anything about it
It isn't too bad... you can probably find a neo geo mvs for around what a brand new PS3 costs... maybe not in the greatest shape but still.. a working one none the less.. and they have multi carts with over a hundred games... including this one.

Many bees gave their lives to produce the sound effects for this game.
Damn that actually looks like a pretty fun game.
I have to say, ever since I accidently ran across the CGR it has brought a TON of entertainment. =3 Keep up the awesome work!!!

This used be really popular in my local arcade. Stage 6 always did me in.
This game is absolute fun! It's a shame that it hasn't become a classic :( It is the MVS' Sega Rally. Addictive, challenging but never frustrating.
There are so many great, but sadly forgotten arcade games. Thanks for showing them off. :)
this actually looks like a whole lot of fun! it actually looks waaay better than most of the games nowdays..
I forgot about this game!!! To see it now brings back cool memories
I love this game so much. I played it all the time on my PC with a Neo Geo X Arcade Stick.
just discovered this game so recently, it is so fun
I believe he reviewed it a year ago, Initial D Special Stage for PS2. (if you're talking about the game, of course)

Mark, Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition has a Camino inside. Which is fully customizable as well.
It's possible to finish this game with the Celica, but it is incredibly difficult with the other two cars.
I still admire how well Neo-Geo software runs.
Saw some vids of this before. Graphics look absolutely amazing for the time and still look great. Reminds me of an isometric Sega Rally Championship.
isometric games during the mid 90s just had a certain charm
Not being into fighting games much, this is quite possibly my favourite Neo Geo game. Always want to call it Neo Drift Masters though, like Neo Turf Masters.
can't believe i haven't said this on one of CGR's videos before.... I LOVE THIS CHANNEL! SO MUCH GREAT NOSTALGIA!
This was a favorite back when I still had my MAME cabinet.
I'll have to check this out.. I used to LOVE 'RC Pro Am" Oh, and Rock N Roll Racing' on SNES. That game was AWESOME! :)
Sounds like you're going for a CGR marathon! I love doing it!
Such a good game. I have it on my 138-in-1 multicart.
need to play this game looks like tons of fun
I totally remember this game, but my favorite had to be Great 1000 mile rally 2.
Marks plays really good on this one! And this games are usually tough!
same here.. it's one of the cooler titles on the 161 cart though. Also, this one is pretty good for the neo geo cd when it comes to loading times.
I have a Jamma cab with Neo Drift Out, 1945 Strikers and Street fighter II Turbo and I love it. I have a custom marquee to with all the games in it.
RC Pro AM meets SEGA RALLY!
The most similar Neo Geo racing game I can remember would probably be OverTop, but I want to say there was another, even more similar game.
One of my favorite games on the MVS! I have for mine as well!
Never saw that game. It looks pretty badass!
I really hope they make this for the Neo Geo X. That thing works decent on TV and a heck of a lot cheaper than the AES and doesn't have load times like the CD. Not really the best of both worlds but it gets the job done.
that game looks like a sweet one i wish i could afford a neo geo
Omg, I remember playing this when I was little. Good times :')
Best racer for the neo-geo hands down !
this was fun in the arcades
I love this game! The most fun 2D racing game I ever played, and most fun racing game overall next to RichardBurnsRally.
It's possible, although I seem to remember the cars larger.
Reminds me of RC Pro Am for NES and the Micro-Machines racing series.
I love this game. Fun review.
I freaking LOVE Neo Drift Out !!!
We've got a Neo Geo 4 cart system in our store, SS 1-3 and Shock Troops!
The music is so badass
The Neo4DC version runs REALLY well on the dreamcast, if you can't afford a Neo Geo copy, or don't own a Neo Geo.
YES! I love this game!
I remember playing this game a few times in the arcades, but it was soooo hard. Is it my memory playing tricks one me or was there another very very similar game out too?
I laughed when Mark said the third car! If only...
This game looks like a sequel to "World Rally" from jaleco in the arcades back in the day.
Glad I'm not the only one.
This game looks awesome...
Man, I'd love to see this get a Virtual Console release or a Neo Geo X release!!
looks like me driving to the liquor store when it's just about to close.
looks really fun
RC Pro AM didn’t show the whole track on the screen either.
Love this game.
They're so devoted that they also appear in the Great Britain stage.
Ohhhh, couldn't make it at the end there!
Great racing game. I have it for my Neo Geo Cdz. Only complaint: it's only one player..

Love this freaking game.

I play this all the time on my 161 in 1 cart! I love it! But, I suck at it... :(
There was also a Mille Miglia version of this
neat looking game
This game looks fun.
2,883 uploads...I wonder if there is going to be a 3,000 Episode Spectacular, mqybe?
I wonder if you can get the Neo Geo modified to output directly to your recording equipment as well as the monitor...
Oh, CGR....I get it
Chris Gregory Reinhardt!
hope this gets released for Neo Geo X!
What epic music
Cars crashing into things? Why hasn't Mark reviewed Burnout 3: Takedown yet? He'd friggin' love it!!
Maybe it is Thrash Rally,an early Neo Geo game,a very good game
I love this game :D they have it at the orthadontists office by me, i play it every time i go lol
We already have that.
CGR, you should review RC de Go.
I'd like to pick this up for my consolized 2 slot, but it's not cheap at all. Thankfully, it's on the 161 multi game banana cart!!! :)
I love the squirrel
How could you forget the Lancer evolution?!?!
Those Monsters.
Ok, thanks!
Now we can clearly see the faulty top of the tv monitors
relatively obscure?! i always thought it was one of neogeo's all time classic games.
happened to me too. from what i hear there is a subscription glitch that insubscribes you from channels. its been a problem for a while from what i hear. buy youtube hasnt really done anything about it
I got the exact same 250 gto!
so the yellow-green horizzontal lines are still here
Mark why haven't you reviewed any newer games like you used to?
This was such a fun game but I hated using the stick
Why Global Star Software hasn't developed an El Camino racing game is beyond me.
Yes, the Izzet would try something like that...
Review thrash rally for the neo geo mvs. Its similar to this. Except, its top down racing game
He did Initial D review: Classic Game Room : INITIAL D SPECIAL STAGE Playstation 2 review
that just look fooking ace
I meant its a top down racing game
when the car turn w/o turning the whhels ...how the right terms? "deraping"? "derapage"? "sideslip"?
it's gOrGeOus!
did the NG do polygons at all? or are those car graphics all sprites?
It isn't too bad... you can probably find a neo geo mvs for around what a brand new PS3 costs... maybe not in the greatest shape but still.. a working one none the less.. and they have multi carts with over a hundred games... including this one.
