I love my twincharger. I use a full compound setup with a gt2871r feeding a eaton m45. Works great. Can't wait to get it onto e85 and really see what it can do. There's so much hate and confusion about twincharging on the internet, mainly from people that have never done it and fall fool to internet myths. The powerband from a compound twincharger is awesome.
i'm so glad i found this. i got a jdm 4agze mr2 and twincharged would be the absolute dream but every forum i find on ppl doing it in mr2s it's all outdated informationfrom like 2006 saying it would b far to expensive and hard
@@soda1470 not really mate. There's bits of good info scattered throughout different forums. Lot of bs from people that have never tried it saying how complex and hard to get running right. You gotta sift through that sheet to find truths from those that have done it. Google search Warpspeed and Stocky Mcglock with twincharged and should find some threads from an old eng tech forum, those guys have some good info and feedback. Warpspeeds input influenced my throttle body after supercharger setup. You can always flick me a few q's if I can help. Good luck.
@@feral4mr2 BRO ur the goat. i rly appreciate it. i'm a car dummy n my biggest question is the bypass system to disengage the supercharger running a turbo into sc setup. what would be the simplest setup for this. also i read there basically alr is one that bypasses the supercharger if it exceeds oem boost levels. if this is true could you run a simple turbo setup that takes long enough to hit full boost by the time the sc disengages? i wanna make close to 200whp or less. is that unrealistic? the advan twincharged aw11 is my inspiration n hope to build a fun gymkhana beast. sorry if i'm speaking small brain language to u.
my plan is twin charging a 92 ranger with a 2.3 with a eaton m90 and 2 16g turbos. ive read alot and seen lots of videos, but these videos are what I was needing
General twincharger question, if you don't mind.. is it possible to place a recirculation valve in the intake pipe going to the supercharger, as pressure builds up when the supercharge is disengaged, the recirculation valve redircts the air to the turbo? what is the name of the bypass valve that suches the air intake from a supercharger to the turbocharger in a twincharger?
Yes, there are many configurations of twincharger systems using turbochargers and blowers (supercharger) where air path is bypassed around one of the chargers. I cannot think of the official term; although if I were to technically describe it I would dub it "turbocharger bypass" and "supercharger bypass" depending on which device is being bypassed.
With enough time or money most things are possible. Diesels like boost, and a twincharger will give you that. I think a project like this is not for the faint of heart, as turbos design has come a long way and can meet your goals. I'm doing this because it's uniquely difficult and complicated.
I have been wanting to twin charge a car, group B style for a very long time. I’m in the market for an xkr with the aj33s supercharged v8, I’m hoping that starting with the supercharger will be the easiest route to twin charging. Anyways, I haven’t seen the video yet so let’s hope it helps.
It's going to be a challenge, why not many folks pursue such a project, if it was easy then more people would be doing it. My opinion is that if you make it mechanically complicated (like a blower bypass system and controls) it will be more forgiving as far as what components you select. If you keep the mechanical setup simple (like a series system with no bypass airpaths) it's going to be more sensitive to component selection, like sizing of turbo and blower, intercooling. Like most things anything is possible with enough time, money and motivation.
Thanks for taking the time to leave some feedback I think it means a lot to you and others and think you do care about me at some level and believe I can make the content better and easier to engage with so thank you for that. For now consider some folks change the speed of the videos 1.25x or even 1.50x and find that is a more comfortable pace.

Thank you for the crash course in physics. Your explanation and graphics made it easier for a laymen to understand.
Dude. I enjoyed your tuning videos but this is AN ALL TIME AMAZING video. The info given is priceless. Well done. Subscribed. Thank you.

Amazing video man! Broke it down barney style for auto novices like myself. 😂
Great info, but brother you have the charisma of a plate of broccoli 😂
As a thought experiment I'd like you to Watch this video you created but change the playback speed to × 2 speed. 🤘🇺🇲 great video

Question can I twin charge my diesel hilux ? It’s a 2002 model 2.5

what If you do it the opposite way the supercharger blows into the turbo
Great work. Keep the good work mate.

Im watching this after having just bought the supercharger first. At least it's the most expensive part, the Turbo will be cheap and easy.
How hard would it be to twin charge a 5.0 L
Define "hard". What is your skill level? What is your experience building modified cars?
Some I have a turbo’d 2001 integra type r which I installed turbo and diff exhaust
HERO !!!!!!!!
How hard is it to put a twin charger on a engine 6.2 l?

756 torr is 1 atmosphere.
13:30 yeah, makes sense, -30=0, -15=7.5, 0=15, 15=30 lol, if you used a bar gauge you could skip this entire video explaining obsolete psi Hg bs.
Wtf a 600hp solstice. Actually sounds like it could be fun.
