The NEXUS Flybarless (FBL) control unit has been designed from the ground up based on the Rotorflight 2.0 reference design. All aspects of the NEXUS have been planned and tested for optimum performance and compatibility, ensuring the best out-of-the-box Rotorflight experience on the market today.
With its advanced STM32F722 MCU and the TDK ICM-42688-P 6-axis MEMS motion tracking device, which combines a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis accelerometer, the NEXUS flight controller ensures precision control and flight. A large 128MB of onboard flash memory ensures you can log all your flights for fine-tuning and adjustment.
Our Plug'n'Play solder-free RP3-H ExpressLRS receivers feature a locking connector system to ensure a stable connection between the control unit and receiver. DSM and S.BUS ports are also available for use with your selected receiver type. The NEXUS also features multi-function ports for future expansion.
The NEXUS features a CNC machined aluminum case as standard, which looks great, protects the control unit, and dissipates heat for the F722 processor.
Move over VBAR!!!
ABSOLUTELY LOVE mine!! I have 8 flights on it installed in my OMP M4 and I'm TICKLED SILLY with it!! And the price!!?? Unbeatable!!
Never used ELRS before but thinking about it for my next heli. Thanks for the heads up and explanation of the channel order
Thanks for watching! ELRS is amazing im glad I tried it because I want it on everything now.
Working on setting up my Sab mini comet for my radiomaster zorro
Radiomaster keeps knocking it out of the park. I have a VBar system but all of my airplanes are either set up on a Radiomaster or Spektrum transmitter. The more I fly the Radiomaster and am learning to trust it the more I am considering selling the Spektrum. If the Nexus performs as well as the VBar I may just have one radio to rule them all.
thank you for confirming i can use my Futaba. very helpful🚁
Credit to the Rotorflight team for developing RF2
Thanks for watching! Much agreed they hit it out of the park!
Amazing for an $80.00 flight controller??? I think you are amazing - the pilot!!! I wish I could fly like that!!!
The guys at Mikado have thought far enough ahead that their recent VPlane receivers and color cases will prevent this from taking over.
😂
Thanks for watching! I do love my Mikado products only for the ease of use, this FBL unit will only get better and I hope we can have the same ease of use as people work on it more and more.
@@BuddyRC I'm sure the RF team will make it easier and easier to use and it's undoubtedly the future standard in the world of rc helicopters. Mikado won't be able to do anything about it.
The entire Vbar ecosystem is so expensive.
@@BuddyRC, How do you feel it compares to VBar once you get it set up?
I wish radiomaster would make a FC compatible with ardupilot.
So am I right in assuming that this WILL NOT bind to a spektrum transmitter?? RadioMaster only???
Thanks for watching! The Nexus needs a external receiver to work so a DSMX satellite receiver can plug directly to the Nexus
What is better using the OMP ESC governor or the governor in the Nexus?
Does the tail gyro have acro mode too, I noticed that if I move it on the ground the tail slider slowly goes back to were it was?
Thanks for watching! I personally am using just the OMPHOBBY gov. and it works flawlessly. As far as the tail if it slowly goes back to center its in heading hold if it snaps back quick to center its in rate mode. It should be good to go if its moving back slow
@@BuddyRC Any idea why all of a sudden when trying to set up the Nexus my ESC keeps beeping fast with it connected to my Futaba Receiver using SBUS? It was already programmed and working with the Spirit 2.
Nice review! Thanks for sharing.
Do these have rescue?
yes
Thanks for watching! Yes if you program it, I might touch on that in the future.
Yes, and it's actually a very good one.
Goodbye Spirit 2 / Geolink 2, anyone interested in buying mine for a nice price???
