Irish Setter who hated being brushed, Ted was a typical lovely friendly Irish Setter until the owner's tried to brush or groom him. The problem started out as growling to warn the owner off but soon turned into nasty dog situation over being brushed. Over all the years of dealing with Irish Setter's I have never met a nasty Irish Setter, they are not or shouldn't be a nasty breed of dog.
The way I dealt with Ted after muzzling him, was then very firm handling and he was put in his place. Which has sorted the problem out. Without sedation.
