In this video, we discover South Bank, a district that, as the name suggests, is located just south of the Central Business District. In addition to the amazing views, in the South Bank you also find a beach and a pool!
In this vlog, we use the city's free boat to get to Kangaroo Point Cliffs, and from there, we walk the entire South Bank, an area developed for the World Expo 1988. What remains from the Expo? The Nepalese Peace Pagoda, one of only 3 Peace Pagodas outside of Nepal. Join us for a lovely walk along South Bank Parklands, a major entertainment area where you can have a lot of fun... for free!

I grew up in Brisbane and travelled the world. No matter where I go, it’s always great to come home.
Every cities in Australia has the same standard but also uniquely different. Sydney doesn’t have Adelaide market, Melbourne street arts or Brisbane city beaches. I miss them.
Oh what an absolutely beautiful, clean and green city. Great choice for the olympics...that beach area is unbelievable. Soooo beautiful down there!

Those birds you saw are often called "bin chickens". They were actually nearly extinct and a breeding colony had been established at Taronga Zoo in Sydney. One night a big storm hit and destroyed their enclosure and they escaped, and then they started breeding like crazy. Now they are everywhere. I was in Brisbane for a day a few years ago and I couldn't believe how hot it was - the sun was brutal! I was glad to get back to grey old Melbourne. Nice city though!

I just watched this video, and it's great to see the beautiful sights of Brisbane! BTW it's one of my favorite dog walks, my dog loves it. A quick note though: the Goodwill Bridge connects South Bank to the Brisbane Botanic Garden, which is green and beautiful. I'm eagerly waiting for the new bridge to Queen's Wharf that's planned to have a skydeck and more entertainment options. Can't wait to see more videos like this!

FYI those islands in Moreton bay have by far the best beaches in south east Queensland - Moreton Island in particular is spectacular, though North Stradbroke is easier to get to.

Never been a better time to visit Brisbane. It’s the secret city gem of Australia. The rest of the world only knows Sydney and Melbourne and once it’s given the spot light in 2032 Olympics it will be flooded with guest and families who want to live here!
No Adelaide? Perth? Seems they are all under the radar. But yes, Brisbane will get a lot of attention this decade.

Fantastic video Renata! Brisbane is so beautiful, with such a unique location on the river and Moreton Bay. It will be am amazing Olympic host! - it is growing quickly though, and will be bigger in 9 years' time when they light the Olympic cauldron at the Gabba!

Thanks Renata another beautiful video! Brisbane is on top of my bucket list. Is this recorded recently? Its supposed to be winter "down under" right now. That looks better than the average Swedish summer! :)
It’s winter but so far a very warm one historically. Days are in the low 20’s but nights can be cold, depending on where you are, 10, 5 or zero degrees in the western areas.

@@snoopy13946I think you’ve been indoctrinated on the so called climate change. Actually the last two winters in Brisbane have been awful ! Winters here are usually sunny and mild and it’s been the exact opposite! Geoengieering is a thing look it up!

Gorgeous video. The old girl was looking pretty good. Brisbane that is but not excluding Renata 😘. In high school we would sometimes walk to Kangaroo Point for abseiling. Great spot for it. Some of the pink stone in that cliff was mined for some fancy buildings. It's known as Brisbane Tooth. Impress your friends with this useless trivia.
