I know, makes me think they could definitely pull off a handheld console like the switch today and do perfectly fine with remasters on it. Like a dreamcast classic portable.
@@starwindamada5313 alot of the Japanese games were RPGs also not to mention they got some great fighters and shooters we didnt get, most people don't realize there are are over 50 RPGs on the console and most of them are Japanese. I'm not sure the exact number there may be 60+. I have 40 something RPGs (including various RPG Hybrids with other Genres. Traditional Tunr Based, Strategy RPGs, MMO RPGs, Actions RPGs..). Also The number of English games is growing all the time with games like Pier Solar, Xenocider, Arcade Racing Legends, 4x4 Jam, Sturnwind, Fast Striker, Ghostblade...
@@ayudatengopiedrasenlosrino3786 as someone who owns ALOT of Japanese import games, there are many games that aren't visual novels. I have over 30 Japanese Exclusive RPGs for the Dreamcast, there are shooters, as well as fighting games that only Japan got...
I agree. If it sold a lot more units and help rebuild Sega's reputation, I'm sure it would've given Sega another chance to stay in the hardware business. Imagine if Sega had an HD console of their own.
@@sguinn91Problem was, while the Dreamcast is SEGA’s best console since the Genesis, SEGA of America AND Japan made poor decisions such as releasing the Saturn DURING E3 because fuck hype, and the 32x being released in America when the Saturn was months away from release. Not to mention the lack of third party support didn’t help matters much. At that point, it was too little too late for SEGA no matter how powerful the system was or how many units it sold.
Dreamcast was without doubt the best console ever at the time... if only more people gave it a chance and it sold more... imagine how great it could of been and how many more amazing exclusives it would have gotten had it sold say 50 million instead of 10? It would of been around for at least another 2 or 3 years. We could of gotten Sonic Adventure 3, Power Stone 3, Nights into Dreams 2, House of the Dead 3, Toejam & Earl 3, Shenmue 3, Crazy Taxi 3, Evolution 3, And all those SEGA games that came to PS2 and GameCube like the Yakuza games, Super Monkey Ball and Sonic Heroes could of all been Dreamcast Exclusives... i will always love the Dreamcast for the amazing gaming experiences it gave me
Si sega se hubiera concentrado mas en la región de América hubiera triunfado. Me pregunto si sega hubiera sacado mas de mil o dos mil juegos hubiera hecho historia
Great showcase and I appreciate the box art along with release windows too. Btw, it's not really a big deal but you forgot Street Fighter 3. You included 2 versions but all 3 versions were released on the Dreamcast.
A Lot of Games Worth Owning and some just a few PlayThroughs but Collecting some Japanese Titles Might be Worth it! One of the Most Underrated and Under Appreciated Systems of All Time.
@Q The Retro Gamer Well if I can find the other half of my DreamCast collection which amounts to around 18 other games but is buried in box somewhere in another room in the house then maybe I will but that's weeks or months away because I have to make another Move. 🙄
@pafo neto Not necessarily because when you rate something it is usually about quality which would mean it's performance (And not just build quality.) and when you appreciate something it is usually about (potential) value so I said its quality was underrated and its value was under appreciated. 🙄( $200 but in today's money that would be around $360 or $380.) I suppose both could apply to substance, so underrated and under appreciated substance could/can mean the same thing! 🤨😉
I believe if Sega wouldn't have rushed the console they would have had a chance, but for a console being considered 6th gen that plays alot of 5th gen games on it,maybe looking back it was a mid gen release? But also if they would have took the time and added a DVD player to it would they have been able to pull through to at least the mid 2000's? I say this as Nintendo has never been interested in any add on other than gaming. So alot of other factors played into the demise of Sega.
And Konami. Sega fought Konami for Frogger rights, for that piece of crap franchise. I would have just given up Frogger and have Konami make real good games for my console.
It's sad that most of DC library is pretty mediocre or straight up clutter. Only a handful of them are good, because Sega, Capcom, Midway or Namco were behind them. I loved these ones! 1. Sonic Adventure 2. Sonic Adventure 2 3. Sega Rally 2 4. Sega GT 5. Ready to Rumble Boxing 6. Ready to Rumble Boxing Round 2 7. Soulcalibur 8. House Of The Dead 2 9. Skies Of Arcadia. 10. Daytona USA 11. Hydro Thunder 12. Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear To The Rescue (Seriously, It suprised me.) 13. Crazy Taxi 14. Crazy Taxi 2 15. Dead Or Alive 2 16. Marvel VS Capcom 2 17. Cyber Troopers: Virtual On- Ontario Tangram 18. Jet Grind Radio 19. Project Justice 20. Record Of Lodoss War 21. Sword Of The Berserk. Gut's Rage 22. Zombie Revenge 23. Dynamite Cop Games that are messy but fun. 1. Charge 'N Blast! 2. Outrigger
😮para mim o melhor console feito pela sega porém o que menos teve investimento atenção devida pela sega que perdeu a oportunidade de se consagra com esse vídeo game mano
Thunder Force VI is a PS2 game (Japan only). Yes it was originally gonna a Dreamcast game but Technosoft went Bankrupt and V was their last Shootem’ up. Sega got the license to do a game which is TFVI for the PS2 very late into the PS2’s Lifespan.
0 good exclusives games , there is few like Quake 3 Arena , Soldier Of Fortune , GTA 2 , Worms Armageddon , Tonny Hawk's Pro Skater 2 , Re-Volt , Star Wars Racer , Crazy Taxi , Rayman but all are better on PC.
Honestly, complete shitty garbage was the Sega Dreamcast, not because of the console, but because of the shitty games they put out 🤬🤬🤬 Unbelievably 95% of the games are pure crap that I don't know how they got out of it 🤬🤬🤬 What hurt me the most was the illusion that it caused me when they announced the console and its launch in 1999, of which a couple of months after it came out I was able to buy it ... I only enjoyed very few games since most of them were complete failures, which what brought ruin for Sega and this beautiful console!
Once I get my arcade setup and my DC kiosks setup, I'll put this on loop on a screen somewhere... This is awesome. Thanks for making this,

Yeah but most of the Japanese games were visual novels so who cares
is that Japan has too much hentai and visual novels
Most games are visual novels japanese only
@@starwindamada5313 alot of the Japanese games were RPGs also not to mention they got some great fighters and shooters we didnt get, most people don't realize there are are over 50 RPGs on the console and most of them are Japanese.
Such a great console
ONE OF THE BEST SYSTEMS EVER!!!!
31:13 Oh, hell yeah!! South Park Rally!
It may not have many games but hardly any of them are bad.
Small library more with great games.
when the winter time hit, i'm gonna make a list of games, so i could have something to get into.👍
If the console had been given a real chance it would be the undisputed king
39:53 You left out Virtua Tennis 2
Edit: 35:33 Wait no you didn’t, it just has a different name in the U.S.
The controller itself was ahead of it's time
This kind of videos make me Chill 👍 New Sub
Dreamcast was like a PlayStation 1.5
It was 1000 times better
@@spacewargamer4181 and was like 1000 worse than the ps2.
@@pafoneto1275 No lol, not at all, PS2 didn't even have 4 controller ports, you needed to buy another device for everything
Dreamcast was without doubt the best console ever at the time... if only more people gave it a chance and it sold more... imagine how great it could of been and how many more amazing exclusives it would have gotten had it sold say 50 million instead of 10? It would of been around for at least another 2 or 3 years. We could of gotten Sonic Adventure 3, Power Stone 3, Nights into Dreams 2, House of the Dead 3, Toejam & Earl 3, Shenmue 3, Crazy Taxi 3, Evolution 3, And all those SEGA games that came to PS2 and GameCube like the Yakuza games, Super Monkey Ball and Sonic Heroes could of all been Dreamcast Exclusives... i will always love the Dreamcast for the amazing gaming experiences it gave me
We did get Shenmue 3 in 2019
Hardware wise, yes, it was better, but is an unfair comparison.
People didn't have it a chance because Sega had bad reputation and well deserved.
Crazi Taxi without the music really shows how dependent the original game is on its sound track.
16:03 WOW those graphs
Si sega se hubiera concentrado mas en la región de América hubiera triunfado. Me pregunto si sega hubiera sacado mas de mil o dos mil juegos hubiera hecho historia
Kudos from RunicNeonTelescope!
Still have my Dreamcast.
31:04 Sweet! South Park: Chef's Luv Shack!
Great showcase and I appreciate the box art along with release windows too. Btw, it's not really a big deal but you forgot Street Fighter 3. You included 2 versions but all 3 versions were released on the Dreamcast.
Not all of them were NTSC releases, though
Dreamcast 📺🎮👍
why is the video quality of all games here so different?
4:3
60fps
Good!!!
34:53 also i really love berserk anime and this game and the one on ps2 are amazing.
Great job sir!
I had no idea Dino Crisis (and a lot of the other PS1 games) were also on Dreamcast
1:31 to 1:33 that bite though lmao
Good job
21:44. The last game for a Sega console ever released in America.
me love u long time for this. Thank u!
35:29 TeeOff was dope
40:18 wetrix+ was my fav
12:13 The Grinch!
A Lot of Games Worth Owning and some just a few PlayThroughs but Collecting some Japanese Titles Might be Worth it! One of the Most Underrated and Under Appreciated Systems of All Time.
We'll be waiting on your video. If you have some, post them
@Q The Retro Gamer Well if I can find the other half of my DreamCast collection which amounts to around 18 other games but is buried in box somewhere in another room in the house then maybe I will but that's weeks or months away because I have to make another Move. 🙄
Jajaja, "underrated" and "under appreciated" are literally the same lol.

Lol, what a bad excuse. Just admit you are wrong. Is not that hard.
27:03 Samba de Amigo!
It is time for a Dreamcast Mini. With 200 Games INSIDE, or 10 Kits with 20 games INSIDE to bey seperatly for the dc mini.
32:24 The Angry Videogame Nerd is gonna have a field day with this.
He already played it on James and Mike Mondays, there's not enough content to really complain its just boring.
Yeah its pretty sad a console w this many good games in 2 years couldn't make it
The graphics look like taken from an emulator rather than the original console. They looked much, much better on a TV.
They should have made DC backwards compatible at least in Japan, seganet was also costly and it should have been (free) the day PS2 came out...
dreamcast was amazing, but suffered a big boycott from companies like EA and many others, what a shame
And Konami. Sega fought Konami for Frogger rights, for that piece of crap franchise. I would have just given up Frogger and have Konami make real good games for my console.
With Blue Stinger, the controls and camera really make the game worse. Not horrible, but if those were fixed, it would be a great game.
It's sad that most of DC library is pretty mediocre or straight up clutter. Only a handful of them are good, because Sega, Capcom, Midway or Namco were behind them. I loved these ones!
1. Sonic Adventure
2. Sonic Adventure 2
3. Sega Rally 2
4. Sega GT
5. Ready to Rumble Boxing
6. Ready to Rumble Boxing Round 2
7. Soulcalibur
8. House Of The Dead 2
9. Skies Of Arcadia.
10. Daytona USA
11. Hydro Thunder
12. Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear To The Rescue (Seriously, It suprised me.)
13. Crazy Taxi
14. Crazy Taxi 2
15. Dead Or Alive 2
16. Marvel VS Capcom 2
17. Cyber Troopers: Virtual On- Ontario Tangram
18. Jet Grind Radio
19. Project Justice
20. Record Of Lodoss War
21. Sword Of The Berserk. Gut's Rage
22. Zombie Revenge
23. Dynamite Cop
Games that are messy but fun.
1. Charge 'N Blast!
2. Outrigger
My only complaint with this console is that I think all games should have supported VGA.
10:52 he buscado este juego por años, y por fin lo encontré. :"3
parece la familia de patricio esa cosa xd
Waiting for the Japanese version of this video
Hi, you will upload EU & JAP dreamcast games?
Yes, but only the exclusive games.
USA! USA! USA! USA! USA!
is this the fullset library?
「deSPIRIA」こそ史上最高のRPG。
😮para mim o melhor console feito pela sega porém o que menos teve investimento atenção devida pela sega que perdeu a oportunidade de se consagra com esse vídeo game mano
I’m looking for 1 game and I have to go through the whole video…..but I’m going to find it
Found it the game was called “Silver”
This console could have overcome the PS2 if SEGA didnt let it die
i dont think so, i absolutely love my dreamcast but Ps2 blew everything else out of the water when it came out.
If SEGA hadn’t let it die, SEGA itself would have died.
@@Yotsukaido Nice joke
Sega shut down dream cast cause it was bleeding too much money. Not cause they wanted it to die.
I’m going crazy trying to find an old DC game but I can’t remember the name. It’s a 4-person fighting game with magic attacks (not powerstone)
Rival school?
Still looking?

Thunder Force VI is a PS2 game (Japan only).
Yes it was originally gonna a Dreamcast game but Technosoft went Bankrupt and V was their last Shootem’ up.
Sega got the license to do a game which is TFVI for the PS2 very late into the PS2’s Lifespan.
Go Balls!
Where is Rez ?
jogos de rally eu gosto
Квэйк все части, Анриалтурнамит
Faz all games de psp séria muito legal.
no shenmue 2
It was only released in the US on Xbox
El dreamcast esta sobrevalorado en mi opinion u-u
No

the Dreamcast was a huge failure in North America only 1 million consoles were sold
Honestly, complete shitty garbage was the Sega Dreamcast, not because of the console, but because of the shitty games they put out 🤬🤬🤬
Unbelievably 95% of the games are pure crap that I don't know how they got out of it 🤬🤬🤬
What hurt me the most was the illusion that it caused me when they announced the console and its launch in 1999, of which a couple of months after it came out I was able to buy it ... I only enjoyed very few games since most of them were complete failures, which what brought ruin for Sega and this beautiful console!
