people can talk crap about kevin, but he makes a lot of offers and performs
yea people were rude to him he doesnt give a fuck
Well not that much deals but the ones he does make and stay aboard (sometimes when the sharks said yes to someone on the show and later on back out of the deal) he is Mr. Wonderful. Also he did deals with those who either left without getting a deal or did but that shark backed out.
Marc Smith YES KEVIN is one of the richest sharks!!!
I think Barbara's done really well too and she's done a lot of work with food businesses. If I were to put up a food business, I'd approach either him or Barbara for help.
Eunice Beatrice Braga What ?? Did Barbara ever make an offer ?? I thought she's always out.
We had this several times as gifts from our suppliers in the office... It is seriously the best cupcakes ever
Hala madrid
opinion irrelevant when ur a madrid fan. we r gonna smack you up tomorrow in the clasico u watch, barca 4 life
@@marioibrahim5574 Your whole existence is irrelevant when you're a Barca fan. A corrupt and destructive club managed by a mob. Definitely more than a club 😂🤣.... And oh, you Havnt proved anything lately in any of the clasicos so shush 🤫
@@marioibrahim5574 WUT?
Yeah right
It's deals like this where you can really tell why Kevin loves his royalty deals. It's good cash flow
1 million times 45 cents a pop, he'd better show up 😉
@@Zerg435 that’s pocket change
What’s the update ???
Usually Kevin wants also a few percent in case of an exit. He dropped the ball on this one!
kevin is by far my fave shark. robert comes close second. love how honest kevin is. world needs guys like him.
kevin is definitely the most genuine. I am not a fan of Robert. If you watch him on the episode of with Titan , you will see how much of a following douche he can act like. hes probably a good person, but I just think Kevin is more real
Kevin is the best. Robert is alright. Funny thing is, Robert actually seems to invest the least of any shark, but people think it is Barbera.
No. People are too butt hurt. "If u dont have anything good to say then dont say it."
I like Ashton Kutcher as guest shark. Roberts good
@@aditvakil8161 Agree. He is who he is. He doesn't sugar coat things and I think you do not need to worry about any hidden agenda and so far I haven't seen any feedback that he later change the terms on the deal like a couple of the sharks. The problem here is, he is willing to take risk on entrepreneur who are seen to high risk investing that others don't and therefore the much higher equity and his royalty deal to protect his principle sum of investment. However, to get the best deal from him, not only your business has to show clear potential but it is in a domain that he wanted to further expand his personal business.
"You just bought our 1 millionth jar!"
"Great, what do I win?"
"Nothing!"
She got a hamper and a photo with Mr Wonderful (you can see it in this vid 0:58). That's good enough.
The daughter is adorable. Just being herself, no need to overdo the enthusiasm.
She looks sooooooo higggggh
The tacky tattoos and Boston accent.🤢
@@KCJbomberFTW lol right
@@KCJbomberFTW they putting the good stuff in the cupcakes now? no wonder shes off her head hahhaa
@@tnewsome9121 WYM?! She’s superrrrrr cute
Was in Boston for a day, ended up grabbing one from Quincy Market. After a little effort thru airport security, was able to get it back to Seattle. Kids literally screamed for every spoon from the jar. These cup cakes are best desert they ever had, in thier own words.
The mother looks more attractive after accepting the Kevin O'Leary deal. Money does play a role in appearances.
slidejones she might have just escaped 70% of the stress she had when she baked half of all the cupcake but Now she has employees to help
Selling $10,000,000 of cupcakes gives you the ability to get plastic surgery.
Looks the same to me
Disagree she was always beautiful she just looks a lot more stress free now! But i don’t know why her looks are such a concern to people she’s such an inspiring businesswoman
@@saraeissa4954 It's not our concern, we don't care, we just say she used plastic surgery.
I love billie found her passion in making pastries.
The way Kevin manuveured around the equity problem was what got them to that deal. Other sharks can't use deal structures like he can. The equity was split between many family members and everyone would get diluted as the best case scenario. Not everyone would like that deal. Kevin makes money and still stays to give them support and that also helps them all make money without touching equity.
Sometimes I feel bad for Kevin's deal cause of inflation. 45 cent then vs 45 cent now is quite different. Or maybe he accounted for that in his contract
@@ikyiAlter projected growth makes up for it. 1,000,000*0.45=$450,000 which is 60x profit from his investment and the company has since grown
@@The1200s I think the original investment was 75k? $1 per sale and then $0.45 afterwards. So, that's actually $491,250, a bit over 6x profit. Nowhere near 60x. I think the original asking was 75k for 20% or something. I just think Kevin would've gotten more with equity. Looking at their website, taking a random pack of 6 for $66. So, it cost about $11 each. Random google said a cupcake costs $3-5 to make. A mason jar is $1, cheap ones. Shipping is on buyer. If their profit margins are higher than $2.25, then Kevin could've made more ($2.25 * 0.20 = $0.45).
And I'm talking about Kevin could potentially make more. Projected growth doesn't make up for it as his royalty is fixed. It'll be forever $0.45. On the other hand, the cupcakes can go up in price due to inflation. If he took an equity, then his share would proportionally go up.
@@ikyiAlter I heard that the business was sold to a large multi national company. They paid the two woman and brought out Kevin's royalty.
@@almac9203 ohhhhhh really. That's pretty nice. Congrats to both. Now they can start a new idea and repeat xD
Say what u want about him but there is something absolutely trustful and adorable about Kevin 😁
So this is what Kevin brings up every freaking pitch
Mhm
Kevin just made 450,000k from this deal🤔🤔 smart..
Love seeing business ladies! Amer ca needs more of them !!! Congrats 🥳
Wow, Shark Tank is my show ...but I am so happy and pleased to see this particular update on WGC it's absolutely wonderful... congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 ladies, I can hardly wait to buy a dozen!
I love these shark tank success stories !
Im happy for them. They seemed so sweet and wholesome when they first appeared. The mom looks and carries herself like such a boss now. Good for them.
I'm so happy they did so well :) hope they still are today
They sold the business in 2021 and are both rich. Sold it to Hickory Farms.
Mr Wonderful missed the exit but I think he can live with it
@@almac9203great!!!
just bought some! my wife and i are excited about the franchise opportunity!
Omg u can see lovepop in the crowd at 0:57!!
Good eye
I Ordered the package where you get one of everything. I must confess, they were the best cupcakes ever. Pricey but worth it.
I’m in Boston so I went to Quincy market saw these on shark tank so I bought 2 for 7.50 a piece strawberry lemonade and salted caramel best cupcakes I ever had in my entire LIFE
You gave kevin 90 cents lol
funny thing is if he took the equity he would have made more money in the long run, they were offering 20% but with his royalty deal they got him for about 13 maybe 14 percent equity.
That intro was misleading - the $1 per item sold was while they paid off the loan. The part they negotiated was his 50¢ royalty offer in perpetuity
I'm watching this while eating a wicked good cupcake in a jar.
Yummy 😋
in terms of the finance book of the Wicked Good Cupcake, I wondered how much does the royalty deal has affected them in cashflow and how does Mr Kevin O'Leary makes it works for them? They seems to be very happy with this deal.
They ultimately sold the entire business to Hickory Farms. The two woman are rich. Didn't have to share the sale proceeds with Kevin because he owned no equity. Kevin would have negotiated a buyout of his royalty agreement from the New owner.
What a beautiful beautiful beautiful story so happy for them
I definitely want to try their cupcakes, but no way would I pay $10 for a small ass 8oz jar. $5 would be reasonable, $6 would be my max. But $10? Hell no. Add to that shipping prices. For a pack of 4, it costs $40+$15 for ground shipping. $55 for some cupcakes. It's way too much.
Grim Reaper I agree
Grim Reaper The royalty deal was very expensive. They had to raise the prices in order to make a sufficient enough profit.
Yeah I agree.. I’ve heard that they are amazing, but as someone who works out and eats clean I couldn’t imagine spending 50 dollars on some cake
Getting into Quincy Market is so huge. As a new englander i frequent Boston, I LOVE BOSTON!. And We almost always go up to quincy market. Great location they must have done a ton just in that location
They sold the entire business to Hickory Farms in 2021. Pretty sure they retired wealthy. Didn't have to share the equity with Kevin when they sold it. Kevin also got royalties for 8 years and negotiated a payout for the lifetime royalties so everyone is happy.
Wonderful story! So inspiring
This is my favorite deal on shark tank
So keven has made over half a mil profit when this came out. Pretty good
I got a jar when I went to Boston a few years back! They have these really good gluten-free cupcakes! Amazing 😋
I love seeing people become successful. I will get there too.
These cupcakes are delicious. I have tried four already!
I ordered 2 cupcakes for my parents for xmas and they should be here in a couple days :D
Awesome! How was it?
jbird1777 only 2 cupcakes? the struggle is real
there are two cupcakes in one
I have a feeling that they arrived at your house and didn't leave lol.
love the daughter so beautiful
I like Kevin.
Love this follow ups
I can't decide if I am in love with the mom or daughter more
I miss these updates
Good to hear they did well, was kind of worried they would get shafted by that deal
I heard the business was taken over by a large multi national company. The two woman got a huge offer and sold the business.
"people can talk crap about kevin, but he makes a lot of offers and performs". Mark Cuban does a lot of deals to help people out. He mentioned a while ago that overall his shark tank companies have made him no money. So gotta hand it to Kevin who takes chances on the right companies and does make money.
Royalty deal gone right. I love it !
He made 500k+ in 3 years on a 70k investment
I ordered 2 jars of their gluten free cupcakes. Getting them on Friday and can't wait!
Lisa W how were they?
Marco M She must have not gotten them yet.
Are you still eating it?
this friday?
I hope you're not still waiting for them
I just had it it’s amazing
I honestly thought they were gonna go bankrupt paying Kevin back.
Kevin gets .40 per jar forever. They already made 10m sales. wow
Kevin is truly Mr Wonderfullllll...
Wow I watched that episode
Anybody else visit their kiosk at Faneuil Hall in Boston and take a selfie with the cardboard cutout of Mr. Wonderful?
This is awesome wahooooo
Very cool!
This is a business that have made the most money for any shark ever on shark tank... now that is amazing.
No, I think Scrub Daddy is the most successful.
It’s in the top 5 or 10 I believe
It’s one of Kevin’s most profitable deals but Scrub Daddy and Simply Fit Board beat it. Groove book, Cousin’s Main Lobster, Grace and Lace, etc. I believe are more profitable.
I think Scrub Daddy has made Lori over 20 million. This has made Kevin 500,000. I'm not that good at math but I think 20 million is a lot bigger than 500,000
Imagine that, $.45 a jar in royalty. Dang
Real question though I’m thinking about buying these to anyone who’s had these . They aren’t like dry are they
Kevin the GOAT
Ok do they sell those in canada???
Or where exactly in the states can i get it
Kevin boosted the sales for sure. But let's forget about that for a minute. If you are getting a royalty, it doesn't really matter if you have equity. You get paid whether or not the owners make any money. It's like a mob move. You had a fire at your plant, fuck you where's my money. Your workers quit, fuck you where's my money? I'll take a royalty over equity any day of the week.
And most companies will take an equity investment over royalty any day of the week
I remember the backlash from that episode but im glad it all worked out
They sold the business in 2021 to Hickory Farms. Pretty sure they retired as millionaires.
NO:
1. Kevin🏆
2. Mark
3. Lori
4. Robert
5. Daymond
6. Barbra
They really must be enjoying the wealth, that mom turned HOT after getting a deal with Kevin.
Way too sweet for me
They kept the company and put Kevin to work cause he wants those $.45 cents
I always see videos about how rich each of the sharks are, but I want to know how much money each of the sharks have actually made on the show.
Brian McHaney - A lot.
Truthfully, it was a very expensive offer. I think they could've looked at alternative funding options outside the Shark Tank (since I seriously doubt Kevin could add much value in a royalty deal without equity)
Fuskarl jm Agreed, but you don't need Kevin for that. Again, I am not questioning their success, I'm just stating that they could've done this without taking a super expensive loan from Kevin.
Actually, think of it this way. 45 cents per jar, and a million jars sold...Kevin got only 450,000. But they've definitely done tens of millions in sale. I'm sure having equity with them right now is much more valuable!
Yash Pradhan I'm not asking them to give up equity, I was suggesting that if they got the funds elsewhere from outside (possibly a bank or so), they could have saved all that money. Technically they didn't need Kevin's expertise either. The royalty deal was just too expensive too little amount given in exchange.
Sreemukh Kovuri - A loan from the bank is far worse than equity or royalty. It must be paid back, regardless of the rate of business expansion, and can hurt the company if it does not take off very quickly. Also, the interest rates would be insane.
Last I checked, I got called for a penalty because it was a cross-check. (Hockey)
I received a box of two cupcakes and two pies from Wicked Good Cupcakes as a gift and I was very disappointed in them. I went ahead and ate "The Wicked Good" cupcake (which I think is kind of their flagship item) right away. The cake part was a little on the dry side (not bad, though), but the tasty peanut butter icing and chocolate chips were so pervasive throughout that I barely noticed it. It was good, at least flavor-wise. Unfortunately, It made me feel ill after I finished it. I think I had a mild adverse reaction to an ingredient, and my guess is that it was the Polysorbate 80. It's part of the "Heavy Cream" concoction in the product, which is a frankensteinian blend of cream, carrageenan, mono and diglycerides, and Polysorbate 80. If you're wondering why "Heavy Cream" isn't just cream... well, I'm right there with you. I also noticed to my dismay that the peanut butter component of the product contains hydrogenated rapeseed oil. I will say that most of the ingredients in this particular cupcake seemed okay. But in my opinion, no food product -- especially one as expensive as Wicked Good Cupcakes -- should have hydrogenated oil, carrageenan, or Polysorbate 80. And sadly, it was the best product out of the four I received.
I've decided not to eat the other three products I received after reading their ingredients. I won't go into a lot of detail, but the highlights include Polysorbate 80, Polysorbate 60, high fructose corn syrup (the second ingredient in their cherry pie), artificial flavoring, and artificial coloring.
I've e-mailed their customer service in the hope that I can at least get a refund (for the people who gifted these to me) for the three products I haven't opened. I'll update this post once I get a response.
not guna read that niga
It’s not like you’re going to eat these every day. The ingredients aren’t going to harm you if you consume in moderation.
@@Xearf I agree with you to an extent, but the point is that such expensive food products shouldn't have any cheap, junky ingredients. High fructose corn syrup in the cherry pie was especially bad. That's convenience store-level cheap.
Rapeseed oil. I don’t think that sounds pleasing 😂
These are some "whicked" expensive cup cakes. Last i checked, one of these small jars can go up to 12 to 13dollars.
when you gave kev a royalty deal , theres where your gross sale blow up😂
kevin did a deal for 45c a “jar” but they sell them in “jawws”
I can see when that mother agree with MR wonderful offer, that daughter doesn’t look happy at all.
She might be feel this agreement is bullshit.
They sold the business to Hickory Farms and are both rich. If they had shared the equity they would have had to share the sale price with Kevin. They got 100 percent of the sale price so it was a smart decision.
Apparently even Marcus Lemonis has a stake in this company now.
I thought I was still on another video, sorry
Good choice to go with Mr. Wonderful!
Thats wonderfu Mr wonderful
450,000 is how much kev made on royalty so far with 1m
They said they made $10 million in the video. Probably triple that now
Did he say twenty years
Is it me or the mom looks younger
She got rid of the old lady bob and looks like 15 year younger.
Dam the money changed them lol mother looks like she got work done on her face
From all the sharks I like Kevin
I didn't know billie eilish knew how to bake cupcakes
“I’m the Wickeddd guy”
SHOCKED that they made it. But very happy for them!
That is definitely not season 8
Wicked
How's it doing now?
450,000 for mr wonderful!
Which they went on to sell for $350 Million.
The daughter is really cute! 😍😉
Cool
How much do they sell for?
Hello, Did the millionth customer get anything as a prize or as good fortune? Like at the very least a free jar of cupcake of her choice? If not, that's extremely miserly of the company. If yes, Bravo, and keep doing it to every millionth or even 10,000th customer from here on.
$7.25 is a ton for a cupcake 👀
2 cupcakes to a jar though
yummy
I’d give up 45 cents a cup to make millions
If Kevin O’Leary was getting paid in forever money. How did Hickory Farms handle this “forever money” in the buyout?
Probably paid him out a few millions and made him sign an NDA so we’ll never know. One thing is for sure, Kevin’s $75K investment turned into millions. It definitely paid off for Kevin.
The girl magically lost her fake accent between Sharktank and now.
After 3 years mother got younger 😂 #money_effects
