One other point, just after she won Holland Got Talent at 9 years old she appeared with Andre Rieu in the city square in Maastricht in front of 10,000 people. She had some crying and the whole lot on their feet at the end. What a way to start your career. But all that said what makes her so special is she is not, she is just a normal young teenager who loves all the things that teenagers love and is very humble and modest, she also can be just a little cheeky which makes her even more endearing.
Maastricht is a beautiful city that I have visited many time, while living in Germany, It is also the hometown of Andre Rieu, and he would often hold concerts in the town square,. A wonderful performance by Amira and Patrizio. He is so gracious and they sound great together.

Amira was 12 at this recording about a year ago, many, me included, regard her as the finest voice their is, what makes her even more remarkable is she is self taught. Learnt to sing from You Tube and watching Andrea Bocelli. She won Holland's Got Talent 3/4 years ago. Since then she has become world famous in the classic world. Recently she and her Mum and Brother have emigrated to South Africa. Amira, immediately she became famous, set up a charity and gives huge amounts of her earnings to it. It is called Gelukskinders and it provides playgrounds for children in the poorer townships of South Africa (her Mum is from South Africa). Watch her performance of Amazing Grace and a song called Your Love which is the song version of the theme from the western Once Upon A Time In The West, composed by Ennio Morricone. Pippe my problem is I adore everything this young goddess does. I have a reasonable CD collection that includes Maria Callas, Joan Sutherland, Tiri Te Kanawa, Lesley Garret and Katherine Jenkins amongst others, yet none, and I mean this, NONE are as beautiful as Amira. A voice straight from the gods if ever there was one.

Hi Nephi. I’ve found a performance by Amira that (I don’t think) is copyright as two other people have reacted. This is an absolute must. Singing with the backing of Andre Rieu & his orchestra with an overflowing crowd is simply a great spectacle. Still 9 years of age (10?) ; singing O Mio Babbino Caro again & is certainly a step up from her original audition on Holland’s Got Talent. This young lady WILL be a legend. If you can’t react to this, do yourself a favour & just watch it on uTube.

Yes, it is an historic performance; but I think you will find that it will be blocked by copyright; Amira is now "big business", and the copyright is being enforced more rigidly now. O Sole Mio is a well-known, Italian opera and they were singing it in it's native language, Italian. She's from Holland and she currently resides in South Africa, which is where her mother was born. She has a big heart for the people of South Africa. One of the times she was visiting, she noticed that there were no playgrounds for the children to play in so she started a foundation called "Gelukskinders Foundation" (URL = www.gelukskinders.org/en/) which raises money to build playgrounds for the children of South Africa. Last I heard, she had built at least three playgrounds in South Africa. "Gelukskinders" means "lucky children", in Dutch. I believe she was 13 years of age in the above video. She could sing really well for 13 and she can sing even better now.

I wonder if you listen another opera singer, now 20, that also won the got talent in combined Check Slovakian version. She’s studying opera and we see less and less videos being released these days: Patricia Janeckova is my preferred opera singer because (I have no musical education!) she’s a perfectionist and shows a deep passion for what she does, and an absolute admiration for her teacher Eva Drizgova Jirusova while singing in duet Canzonetta sull’ ária, I believe at age 14. And of course, Angelina Jordan is the best melinium singer, at least!
You would not find it "creepy" if you saw it as it is in the DVD. Amira had just sung OMBC as a solo, and after the standing ovation was over, she called Patrizio onto the stage; and they had a priceless little conversation, which showed the audience that she speaks perfect Afrikaans, before starting on this duet. Hi Nephi. I’ve found a performance by Amira that (I don’t think) is copyright as two other people have reacted.
This is an absolute must. Singing with the backing of Andre Rieu & his orchestra with an overflowing crowd is simply a great spectacle. Still 9 years of age (10?) ; singing O Mio Babbino Caro again & is certainly a step up from her original audition on Holland’s Got Talent. This young lady WILL be a legend.

Graeme Blackburn She was 10 years and 4 months old when she performed with Andre Rieu. Yes, it is an historic performance; but I think you will find that it will be blocked by copyright; Amira is now "big business", and the copyright is being enforced more rigidly now. Same goes for her performances with Coleske Artists, who currently hold her recording contract.

You are aware, I suppose, that you can purchase her Cd albums and the Classics is Groot DVDs on her charity website, Gelukskinders.org/store - the albums are also available on Amazon, etc, but only the first two are available in physical form; otherwise it's by download.

Amira won Holland's Got Talent a few years ago when being at the tender age of 9. She learned to sing opera by studying RUclips video's. Ohh!.... and btw, I came a cross another Dutch talent who got the likings of the star herself by covering one of her songs. O Sole Mio is a well-known, Italian opera and they were singing it in it's native language, Italian. She's from Holland and she currently resides in South Africa, which is where her mother was born. She has a big heart for the people of South Africa. One of the times she was visiting, she noticed that there were no playgrounds for the children to play in so she started a foundation called "Gelukskinders Foundation" (URL = www.gelukskinders.org/en/) which raises money to build playgrounds for the children of South Africa. Last I heard, she had built at least three playgrounds in South Africa. "Gelukskinders" means "lucky children", in Dutch. I believe she was 13 years of age in the above video. She could sing really well for 13 and she can sing even better now.

+Hilasterion: As Amira lives in South Africa now I don't think that she will ever be invited to the King's Palace. ;-) But Amira did already perform in front of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands. This is her performance at the reopening of the province hall in Arnhem in September 2017 when Amira was 13 years old. Tickets are now available at optog.co.za/en/e-kaartjies/amira-willighagen-dream-with-me-2/ The tickets cost 120 ZAR (6 EUR / 7 USD) and allow you to enjoy this unique concert for 72 hours over and over again! (starting between September 11th, 9:00 am and September 13th, 9:00 pm - GMT+2/CEST) The concert was recorded in the Atterbury Theatre in Pretoria / South Africa. Amira sings 11 songs, 10 of which she has never performed or recorded before. She is accompanied on stage by two world-class musicians, pianist Charl du Plessis on the Steinway grand piano and violinist Lizelle le Roux.

I wonder if you listen another opera singer, now 20, that also won the got talent in combined Check Slovakian version. She’s studying opera and we see less and less videos being released these days: Patricia Janeckova is my preferred opera singer because (I have no musical education!) she’s a perfectionist and shows a deep passion for what she does, and an absolute admiration for her teacher Eva Drizgova Jirusova while singing in duet Canzonetta sull’ ária, I believe at age 14. And of course, Angelina Jordan is the best melinium singer, at least!

Beautiful singing but I’ve always found this one a bit creepy to watch
You would not find it "creepy" if you saw it as it is in the DVD. Amira had just sung OMBC as a solo, and after the standing ovation was over, she called Patrizio onto the stage; and they had a priceless little conversation, which showed the audience that she speaks perfect Afrikaans, before starting on this duet. You can see some of it here: ruclips.net/video/cnjF1vre9sg/видео.html In other words, Amira and Patrizio were each quite separate guest stars; and were seen by the audience as such. She performed three songs, plus participating in the final group performance of "My way".
You need to catch up on opera. your screaming over the son does not help.
