Today is my wife and I 20 th anniversary of when I fell in love with her and these words are identical to my heart…. She’s the one and only for me after several difficult relationships on both sides God put us together to love each other and heal our wounds from our previous relationships!!!
This my favorite group because of that Baritone of Teddy Pendergrass and the other vocals blend so well, the sopranos and Altos are kicking Too, be Blessed

My goodness this is one of my favorite records by Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes… I actually called the group, Teddy Pendagrass and the Blue Notes. 😊 Teddy Pendagrass’ vocals were extraordinary, and incredible! I wish he was still here on earth continuously making phenomenal music as a great solo artist, his solo music was OUTSTANDING! Continue Resting in Peace, Teddy!🙏🏾
If you are a member of ANY group and you sing like this as lead on one of the tracks, this is would me the time you realize that this guy is going to move on to a successful solo career. Teddy was on fire performing this song, listen to the arrangement. Eventually when he decided to move on, it was the same arrangement in all of the other songs, well most.
At my wedding, I performed this for my wife. And damned near killed myself in the process. BUT IT WAS ALL WORTH IT! up to the the day she went to go be with the lord after 27 years.
hell yes! Especially when he got his own agent to represent him and when they demanded that the group add a moniker. 'Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes Featuring Theodore Pendergrass'. Sound familiar? Teddy got what David Ruffin tried to get from the Temptations but couldn't.
Kinda reminds me of the championship game in the Old Chicago stadium 🏟️ Home of Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. Got to Tell somebody how i feel about it.
I was 17 when this came out; had the album, played this cut often. It is speeded up a little bit here. The Blue Notes sound a little like chipmunks, and you are loosing the richness of Teddy's voice, and of the rich bass instrument. Killer song, though.
I love this song brings back so much memories ❤😢

That’s what I call music, beautiful man, beautiful voice
Wow what a voice, Teddy was the best
We used whisper sweet words to women,I ain't never heard of calling women B and H ,we respected each other.❤😅
The vibe, the energy, the era which it comes from, the passion, the arrangement, and the voice of Teddy... damn this this song is good!
So beautifully orchestrated
I love this song...Brings back so many memories... Family gatherings...

That's not it. It's the soulless nerds that's running the industry today. They are the reason we don't have music like this.

Did yall notice all the Baritones singing at this time
Teddy p … and the blue notes ..
The music at the beginning sounds like a game show theme. LOL
Played on real instruments by masters
Analog (warmth)
