    Sharon paige was so underrated as a female singer, primarily because she didn't really have a group of her own and did vocals on mostly male group's album's. But she held her own against any female artist of her day. She was purely sublime, a beautiful woman with a beautiful voice. ❤

      Totally agree with your comment. Sadly only recorded two or three songs with Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes. However I’ve discovered she did record a single in her own right called You Don’t Even Know My Name, sadly as rare as hens teeth as they say.     I thank EVERYONE for ALL coments of my post.. I met my husband in 76. I was 15 going on 16.. He was 20.. This was our love song back in the DAY.. We married and now have been truly in LOVE ever since.. Been together now 45 yrs and 4 grown daughters and 13 grandchildren..

      Love it 😍… my husband and I were high school sweethearts ( 16&17) in 1972 married at 19.& 20 in 1975 … and now we’re 65 & 66 .. raised 6 children … Blessed with 11 Grandchildren ….. this brings happy tears to my eyes because it brings back beautiful memories of young Love ❤️ ❤️❤️

    With this song I fell in love at a very very young age,I was in standard 3.myself and a very dear friend and brother Wayne Pretorius sang this song tougher,and we got a standing ovation from the class, including the girl I was so mad about,and it meant a lot, unfortunately my friend passed away and I went solo,by singing Lionel Richie's best song GIRL.to her ,until today I remember,those special days while young...I'm 52... married for 24 years and so is she...saw her after a few years at her father funeral,and I felt special to have been part,of the procession.sawher husband and the beautiful children they blessed with.Her daughter looks exactly like when she was young...blessed family...may they grow old together... myself and Wifee is praying the same on our side...     Teddy P. really made this one of the best bands of the day. There are bars in Japan that only play Soul music from this era, Soul bars. This would be immensely difficult to achieve back home in the U.S. The people over here really appreciate our music. I feel blessed ❤!

    I was once a singer in a group from back in the late 70’s and early 80’s, when I hear the music of today it just makes me realize just how much precious the music from back in the days was, I really miss. I refuse to compromise by replacing it with today’s junk!

      I know....,as the country progressed,so did the music and those of us lucky enough to be around when the differences in music blended to be enjoyed by the mainstream, we witnessed the end of segregated music and while different genres still have their followers,those rigid categories are a thing of the past.

      I’ve had this on repeat since Saturday night rap battle between Raekwon abs Ghostface Killa. They had a remix to this beat on a song called Rainy Dayz. Both been on heavy repeat ever since.
