- Six Piano accompaniment rhythm patterns every piano player should learn. In this lesson, I demonstrate different ways to play the same chord progression, by just changing the rhythm pattern. If you're unsure of how to accompany yourself or someone else on Piano, hopefully this piano tutorial will give you ideas!

Your channel has taught me how to play the piano from scratch for about a year now, thank you, you do an excellent job :)
That’s great! Keep it up 🤗🎹
You're my favorite online piano teacher! I love the little hand flourish you do before your pieces. And it has definitely helped me go from beginner to someone who can tackle some more tricky stuff. If you watch my cover of Deep Is Your Love - that was completely inspired by your lessons.
Love your videos. They are so practical and helpful. This is a great one!
Absolutely BRILLIANT! Love the format and your teaching style. Thank you for your generosity.
Heyyy Francesca!! Another amazing tutorial. They are all great patterns. Favourite ones are the rocking chords, detached and the arpeggio pattern. The displays are very helpful. Happy Saturday!! 😀⭐️
I love the way you Slowly go over each step several several times before moving on. That really helps a beginner. I really like your channel. I love the different styles and ways you teach for a beginner. One thing is taking a actual song to show how patterns fit into a actual song is very helpful. I see you have some that on some of your videos. Thanks so much for these videos. Very helpful. 😊.
Glad you find them helpful 🤗🎹
Gorgeous! Amazing, it is very easy to understand, thank you so much!
My favorite is the “detached” pattern. That is a Sara Barielles move…an artist I love !
It’s definitely a very Sara style isn’t it!
Totally get you! Especially her "Love Song"
@@veronica96itch yes absolutely. Her album “Kaleidoscope Heart” is so good 😍
Lol i was just thinking the same thing
The detached pattern (illustrated here, and used by Sara Bariellas) is indeed used in “musical theater” … Fairly early in her career, she discovered that her music is better than what’s typical for the mainstream pop market, and she’s been quite successful as a songwriter of music for theater
Definitely you are the best. Inspire my soul 🙏🏻.
Finally, the rhythm lesson I was searching for! Trying to learn how to syncopate…..and was searching for lessons.
Many Thanks for posting!
I had lost this lesson,now I have found it,thanks for this lesson,abhijit
Hey Francesca! Thank you so much for your beautiful teachings! You do a really wonderful job!😊🤗 I learned keyboard at 11 years, but I stop playing after my beloved grandmother died in 2016. She raised me like a mother, because my parents were busy most of the time. She taught me nearly everything, including my first steps on my keyboard. Before she died, I really combine one specific song with her. We played it on her funeral because the lyrics meant a lot to me. It's created by Robbie Williams, but it's not really famous and at least not a song you might expect to combine with an older woman. But what it transports with its lyrics is exactly what remembers me deaply of her. She raised me and prepared me day by day for the freaky little mess called life.
Even today when I accidentally hear this sonst on the radio, it still gives me goosebumps. The song named 'Love my life' is now a song that guides me through every situation of my life, like my grandma did. Unfortunately when I start playing again, the loss of practicing transforms me nearly completely back to the beginner level and so I stopped playing again...Only with your help, I get back my courage to sit down again and practice... But despite all of this, I still didn't find back to my rhythm. So... Here's my big request... Can you please try to do a tutorial out of this song? I know... It's a bit overbearing to ask and it's not even a famous song, but... I really hope that with your help, I could do this song easier than allone and eventually get back to my drive. I really want to play it at one of my grandmother's birthdays on her grave. Thank you very much! Even it's not possible for you to do the tutorial, I highly respect your work and I wish you the best! Thank you for all your inspiration! And sorry for my lack of your language, I'm from Germany. Greetings from Nürnberg! 😊
I’ve learnt so much from you. Huge thanks to you 🥰
Very very good explanation, God bless you and your family.
Such great value in your channel! Inspiring!
I do enjoy these different types of videos (rather than the straight tutorials)
Please continue with those ideas!
i used to use the last one very rarely, since it was hard for me to sing over that, initially, ill use it more often from now, its beautiful, i wish i could get this video when i was starting out, thanks hehe❤

Need to go back and get some basics down. I tend to play everything with the feel of Tiny Dancer or use a lot of syncopated movements ha.
Lazily rely on my musical prowess from guitar, not learning to play piano with actual intention like I can…on guitar. Great channel as usual…thanks! Def gonna check out course on reading music.

Interesting thoughts, thanks for your efforts! I’m very new to this, at age 57, and I’m looking for beautiful sounds using chords to strengthen my fingers and bring independent finger learning.
This will help a lot, although I’ll be quite slow, and I have subscribed! 😀👍👍🙏🙏

Your videos are excellent. But in which key are you playing this chord progression? If you could indicate the dominant (root) chord, it will help me to transpose and practice these rhythms in other keys as well. Thank you for your help.
I guess it’s C major with borrowed minor 3rd, 6th and 7th 🎹
Thank you. This is helpful.
Please does running up that hill by Kate bush
The chords reminded me of David's bowies " little fat man. " or behind the mask Eric Clapton. Nice .
Greetings from Sydney Australia
Could you please teach us how play this song Lady in Red by Chris de Burge
Thanks you
Would you recommend the same rhythmic patterns for songs in 3, 5 or 7?
Most of these can be applied to 3-time and irregular/uncommon time such as 5 and 7. The vast majority of pop/rock music is in 4 beats per bar.
Francesca what piano do you have it sounds great
It’s a Kawai CA99 hybrid
❤️
Excellent lesson so helpful.
The 6 chord piano rhythm lesson is good, but not sure how to apply it to pop songs. It would be great if you apply each rhythm pattern to a sample song.
It's not necessarily all about pop music though, it's for those who accompany themselves, know enough how to play chords and want ideas on how to mix up the rhythm.
Can you please do November rain by guns and roses
Can you do the part of the Turkish march plssss
I really need to don’t i…
Do you have those notation stickers available? as part looks like a good idea to train sight reading.
A company called The Piano Rake sent them to me
Do you accept requests? if so then can I request "Always Almost" by Rosie Darling?
i loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee profe
