Loved it. Brandon nailed it. Robby was using the emotional side of Cobra Kai against Kwon and was dialed in to his every move. It was a great scene for the character of Robby.
That kick looks fine but it's just not true that it's a powerful kick. It's a lot more useful in a tournament as a surprise, but it's not a good move for a real fight.
Darth maul was brought back in the clone wars TV series and became a favorite character for season 7,sadly kwon will not become the same because he died and won't be brought back
Im so upset the writers forgot about the most powerful kick in miyagi do karate than only robby and mr miyagi could do. why introduce it if its only a one moment in s1 thing? at least have it in the last one too his final fight.
I think that's one of the few writing mistakes they did. Not that Robby didn't do the kick, but that that was their idea for a 'most powerful kick in Miyagi Do'. That's a terrible kick lol.
I love how the series shows the change of how anger can ruin ur mind set and definitely the character development of each and every character is just amazing
I like how Brandon addressed Kwon's weakness. I saw that the longer the fight dragged on, the more angry and impatient Kwon got, which is what costed him the match.
It's so true what Brandon said. Kwon really is the better fighter but only Robbie could beat him. ( Not Miguel) Robbie had that rage and the cobra kai mentality and he always has a problem with focus i.e Hawk fight. So he knows exactly how to push Kwon's buttons. The highlight for me this season is Kwon. He was a fantastic villain with so much charisma. Wish he hadn't died 😢
@theoneandonlyGR well that hasn't happened yet, and both robby and miguel were kinda getting slammed by axel. If you look at facts, miguel fought kwon once and lost
Robby is exactly what I want in a fighter. He can kick ass as well as defend. I truly never understood why Johnny and Daniel are so headstrong about one way of fighting. It shouldn’t be an all offensive or defensive fighter as both expect. You never know what your opponent will throw and it’s best to have the skills to do both. Robby proved smarter than all the Sensais combined because it’s clear that you need to be a well rounded fighter. He was the first to understand that concept, not the adults, who should be way wiser. he disposed 10 Cobra Kai students by himself, Robby is truly the new Karate Kid and Sam is the second Karate girl like Julie Pierce
@@Comicedits39they both are actually. How Miguel’s story first started was similar to Daniel but as time went by from episode 7 in season 1 all the way to recently Robby’s path has been paralleling with Daniel’s path
@@chronocross85 Nope. Miguel is definitely more like Johnny. Even though Robby is his kid, Miguel and Johnny have a better father -son duo. Plus Miguel generally uses more offense and Robby uses more defense. Also the show started with Miguel and Johnny and will end with them
@@chronocross85maybe but honestly Miguel just has Daniel’s personality whereas Robby has Johnny’s attitude and boldness but that’s about it. Other than that it’s the complete opposite when it comes to their paths
Ohhhhh all this is good context on kwon fr so a composed kwon would scale higher towards a focused Robby 🙏🏽 it’s obvious Kwons rage has a cap limit on how it would work against certain fighters Robby for example was able to read and evade him for majority of the match while also keeping a distance with using his kicks to throw a drained kwon around, so a focused calm and composed kwon could scale higher if he could truly control his aggression
Plot armor lol. Do you realize plot armor just means the way it was written? That it's all scripted anyway? That it goes the way the writers... Write it?
tbh the fight was amazing but I think it would’ve been more amazing if the fight wasn’t completely one sided and actually was like a 40/60 to Kwon, Kwon having an edge on the fight because he has been doing karate since he was young, him going out like that completely dominated is just weird to see knowing that he’s probably the most skilled fighter there, as I said it would’ve been more amazing if the fight was going 40/60 in favour of Kwon and then Robby caught him off guard hits him with double legged kicked, it would’ve made more sense in my opinion because Kwon is that type of character that would fall for something like that and would’ve been an incredible way to win once and for all against Cobra Kai.
Brandon is so right about that Robby come back moment. I had goosebumps all over. Its oke of the top 5 moments in the 5 episodes. The flying sidekick is top 5 too. But i also love Kwon high kick challenges kick! And dont forget yoon😅 when he kicked Axel with that spin kick. So cool and he is the only one who landed a kick on Axel 😂😂 Still Robby is the best fighter for me!! Nr 5 i vote when miguel beats the Irish team
As someone who use to be in taekwondo for 5 years I just loved watching Brandon play Kwon and the kicks and everything he did. Thank you Brandon for such an amazing showing and amazing performance.❤
ROBBY JEENE IS THE BEST TEEN FIGHTER Sorry Robby is just better than Miguel. Like how can Robby preform two legged kick (the hardest kick since only mr miyagi could do it) and Miguel be better Robby is Better than Miguel No offence to Miguel though
Because the 2 legged kick is actually a terrible kick and it was a mistake for the writers to create it lol. But aside from that, no, Miguel is a better fighter. All you gotta do is know that tournament fighting is not easier and weaker than real fights and then remember that Miguel has beat Robby 3 times out of 4. He beat him in the first tournament, and he beat him in the school fight - an actual fight - and in season 5 at the apartment complex. Another real fight. Robby is very very good, and I love his character, but he's 2nd best even though he lost to Hawk in season 4.

I love it when actors truly understand their characters and the context for their actions and outcomes
It would've been so cool if they made Robby do the 2 legged kick
Missed opportunity not bringing back the 2 Legged Kick. It's the most powerful kick in Miyagi Do, and only gets used once!
That would have been so awesome

That was an amazing fight, and I'm glad that Robby won, but Brandon H Lee was incredible
Kwon is like the Darth maul of cobra Kai. Very skilled and full of potential but both let their rage get the better of them.
