1st Northern Hemisphere country to win a series in NZ. First in professional era. I think there were only 3 other teams in history in a 3 game series. I also think on of the biggest winning margins of any of those series. Biggest deficit at half time for the ABs in any test match. More wins agains NZ than any other team in the last 10 years, maybe more. 1st in the World Rankings. That’s a lot of firsts!!
First team in the pro era to win a series. In 120 odd years only 4 other teams have done it.South Africa in 1937,the Lions in 1971,France in 1994 and Australia around late 70s or early 80s.
@@patrickbrennan911 I said teams, not countries.Anyway France were the first NH to win a test series there. They won the 2 test series 2-0 in 1994,and were the last team to beat NZ in Eden Park.
Glad to hear ROg supporting his fellow coach, whom is under serious pressure, would have been the same for us and the Brit’s !! Ye win some you loose some, once ye stick yer head above the fox hole you are in the line of fire !! Happy to see Owen taking his lumps for getting the Ireland 🇮🇪 win completely wrong ! Sexton is playing really well , with a great squad and coaching team to keep him going until after we take home thé RWC 😎 ….. in ‘23 !!! By the way, would y’a feck off and leave the lassie alone, she’s doing fine and is also a gaa player, so she’s made of stern stuff 💪 !! Unlike Owen 😂 😂…….
Regardless of his lion’s performance in South Africa, I think now he is developing into a very good coach. He has worked in NZ and in France and now managing La Rochelle . I find his comments very interesting, I am very impressed with his knowledge of the game and his achievements thus far . Judging him on a playing performance in a game in South Africa over a decade ago seems a bit ridiculous. What’s the point and how is it relevant
Enjoyed that, ROG obviously has to be a little more politically correct (so to speak) these days as a head coach. I missed the point about the GAA, is he playing for a team or is he coaching in the West as a pastime? I love to see the crossover discussions between GAA and Rugby, it's unifying in ways. I would feckin' love to see Galway do the business on Sunday. I like Aisling, she does a good job, always has a nice demeanor about her, I didn't know she was a corner forward, there might be a bit of Colum O'Rourke in her as a leftie. Keep up the good work Lads and Lassies. I have to say it's been a great summer of sport so far, a Russian/ Kazakh and non-vaxxed Novak winning Wimbledon, Dublin knocked out, Penalty shootout, Ireland demolishing ABs, Meath Ladies in the Final, Women's Euros are excellent (even though I refused to watch at the start), great game last night with Germany v Austria 👏. France are excellent to watch, 2 touch passing, dare I say more entertaining than the mens game 🤔. The only team cheating for penalties are England. Also good to see a lot of teams including Northern Ireland refusing to take the Soros BS virtue signalling knee.
I always feel that Rog fears that Sexton will be regarded as Irelands best ever half back, Ronan is still ahead on points, but Sexton has achieved bigger wins, so I guess it's debatable for the time being, be he never goes all out on praising Sexton.
I don’t think ROG or Sexton will be concerned about their legacy. Why would they and having played over different seasons some with different rules etc comparisons in reality are pretty pointless
Don't want to be picky but Ireland were very unlucky in the first test. They should have been out of sight at half-time in Dunedin, and were again unlucky to have been run so close in Wellington. I live in NZ and love to see Ireland do well ...................... How long will it be to get the AB monkey off our backs? They are miles ahead of them. Keep in mind that in 3 tests Ireland scored 74 points, but New Zealand scored 76. Hey-ho
Ireland thoroughly deserved the victory, but just imagine if the head clashes had have been refereed correctly, the result would have been different. The Abs scored 2 tries in the 10 minutes the prop who broke brodies face was off. If he had have been correctly sent off it MIGHT have been different.
I feel the referees got it right, in the Ringrose tackle both players were about the same height, the all black player drove Into Ringrose, causing the impact to the head. Retallick is about 6"s taller than Furlong, so if the 2 players were upright then it would have been a head to chest impact, unfortunately Brodie dipped and drove into a static Furlong, in effect injuring himself. The ref correctly applied the law and a yellow card was appropriate. Anyway, the all blacks got back to a points parity during that yellow card, Ireland were just the superior team.
If it had been reffed right, Reallick should have been red carded for leading into a tackle with his head. He's 6'8 and porter is 6' you can't have head on head contact unless he's hunched over and running at porter with his head. Reckless play.
@@JohnSmith-wo2fz except it is the tacklers responsibility to tackle lower and avoid head contact which is why the defending player is always penalised. It is interesting to note that in the southern hemisphere, the refs are much more lenient on that type of incident, so the all black players are used to that being allowed.
