Us Army RET here. Good setup. I am running the MOPC gen I and love it. Love the Tube kit upgrade. Only thing i would upgrade is more mags. 6 is minimum but never run with minimum. Also some way to carry water. nice video thanks
The cummerbund is stout. Having it in the configuration with the spear tubes it folds the loop field back making it more rigid. Even then the cummerbund has good structure and can take soft armor inserts. No problems.
I would buy one again. There seems to be no other carriers, quality wise, other than condor at this price point. A lot of people write it off due to it being airsoft. It's solid for the money and can carry a lot of weight. The thing is, you’ll also pay a premium for multicam pouches and accessories. If you choose MC. It can also be hard to find things due to their MIL/LEO policies. It's Scorpion not true MC. The only problem I've had is the top flap of the shoulder straps fraying on the sides. [ around 4:05 ] you can see this. The Hook section on the front frays in the same manner on the top and bottom edges of the molle. Both fray in single long strands, never large tears or clumps. This is due to these parts being laser cut. [ 2:47 by the stars ] This fraying in no way compromises the structure of the carrier. The shoulder strap fraying can be alleviated by wraps, The strings on the front can be trimmed. The molle and stitching everywhere else is solid. I've also hung by the grab handle in full kit so 180ish pounds, no issues I also use QD tubes to avoid using the velcro cummerbund closures and avoid unnecessary wear. Though there is no problem doing so.
Thanks man! Not allot of people doing reveiws on the Gen 2 and your video was very helpful. Even less people responding to questions. You should make some more content man, you seem passionate enough! Have a good one👍🇺🇲
What are the quick detach items? Is that a whole new cummerbund you put on? (I couldn’t find just those) And does the front panel securely fasten underneath? I don’t want the chances on the front flap coming up at all.
I have those things on my battle belt. This video was just of the plate carrier for time's sake. If I'm not wearing one, I run a Ifak on the left rear cummerbund. The belt med kit is a Krydex rip away ifak, Inside I have the TRex Arms ITRK expanded med kit + a NAR CAT tourniquet + shears, band-aids, tape, and other small stuff.
