It is my pleasure to introduce the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2 Remastering Project, an undertaking of mine dedicated to bringing one of my all-time favorite video game soundtracks to a new life. It is my belief that this music--composed by Arata Iiyoshi, Hideki Sakamoto, Keisuke Ito, Ryoma Nakamura and Ken-ichi Saito--deserves to be listened to and enjoyed by more than just the people who play, or have played, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky. It is a truly beautiful and widely appreciated collection of music, however with a limited potential due to the confines by which it is bound: a Nintendo DS cartridge. My goal for this project is to bring each track in the game to life by means of remastering, and in some cases reorchestrating, to the best of my ability, while at the same time preserving the natural charm that lies within them.

And a mysterious creepy feeling suits it very well.
It's like every time the clocktower bell note drops is every second that the game is trying to tell you you're running out of time.
I really like this theme. It's so powerful. Although, even though it does play in the Hidden Highland it's not the first time you hear it. No, no, no! You first hear it when Dusknior reveals that YOU are Grovyle's partner who has lost their memory and turned into a Pokemon. This theme gave me the chills as soon as it started playing when he said that. Also, in the Special Episode #5, you hear this theme play at times as well. It's like, a theme of betrayal or something. It needs a new name because of how it's used in the game. Something like,"The Cold Hard Truth." Yeah, that could work! ^.^
I think because of this effect it has its name gets even better as "just" the place's theme
It does give you this feeling without really trying to do so
I think of Darkrai revealing that HE is the real mastermind behind your transformation, memory loss, temporal tower sabotage, and space distortion. The best antagonist in a video game ever in my opinion.

That line, when I read it as a kid... man, I had NEVER seen such beautiful plot woven when I was that old. Now, plot is something I love immensely. PMD is a truly amazing game.
I wish in the remaster when you were dragged into the future, every time you boot up the game that was saved on the dark future episodes the startup theme should change to this.

Hidden Highland. Also known as Dusknoir Reveals his Facade
That bit where Dusknoir reveals who the player actually is crushing all of Grovyle's hopes and dreams in an instant.
The last time your hero and partner ever see grovyle. Then "The Future of Darkness" FEELS TRAIN
I always sorta consider this Dusknoir's non-battle theme. Every time I hear it my mind immediately goes to that ghost.
It really is. It plays when he reveals plot twists to you. It plays in the time right before Grovyle drags both of them back into the future. It plays in the future when Dusknoir reveals his true intent and scheme he has grown. Truly a wonderful song and an amazing character.
The panflute sounds like something out of Spirit Tracks.

Over the years this has become my personal thinking theme. Often when I overthink things the beginning of this theme pops up in my head.

I got here before even the guild master himself! I didn't think it was possible but I did it.
It's been 7-8 years since TGH remastered this ost. It is still the best interpretation of the post I've heard, and is even better than the original.
I find it hard to imagine that a (possible, but might not happen) remake of PMD-Sky could take its original soundtrack and elevate it to this level.
The aria of manipulation and vengeance casts its shades across the hero's journey...
This is amazing! I loved the original track so much, and this made it even better!

yeah, death, betrayal and it hurts even more when you know that Dusknoir is awaiting for you. btw I completed the game for the first time recently so it's not that nostalgic to me (I'm still playing the game because of the after story actually) but still gives me the feels anyways
Lord Agustin It's really nostalgic to me because I've had this game since it first came out and when I Finnished it, it was like year's after I got it plus it's not the only time you can her it but this game will stay as my favorite and also I have the game 100% done including all the jobs I the Bulliton board so I'm thinking of restarting it

I remember when I first heard this track, at the big reveal of everything when you were faced by Dusknoir and Primal Dialga in the future. The impact of this track was heavy enough to give the whole scenario real weight. And this makes it even better o.o

This is a great remaster. Although now I have to change my favorites playlist again, ugh. I think I'll take off Hidden Land.
A lot of the tracks make me want to play the game, but this one intensely so…

What type are you doesn't matter.I was a Torchic and my partner was a Riolu.When i was on the last floor of the temporal spire, 2 Porygon-Z comed out of nowhere and spammed agility and discharge. Me and my partner was 10 LEVEL HIGHER THEN THEM but agility and discharge is a deadly combo they killed me when i cant even used a move! God, who thought giving one of the best bulky pokemon AGILITY AND DISCHARGE!
Everytime I ear that I think of Darkrai instead of the hidden highland.
