I know this isn't at all related to the game but, Chris, you getting in shape and getting in the ring inspired me to start trying to do the same. The fact that people where mislead in thinking buying the elite edition would give you all future dlc, to then have to buy the others separately, turned a lot of day 1 supporters away

That was me. I bought it thinking it was like WWE 2K where you get all the DLC later, just to be charged $20 and $30 for content that would eventually cost more than the original game did.
It feels so slimy to do it that way.
I bought the elite edition then got a full refund from xbox but I retained most of the dlc anyway. Then bought the game for $10 at Walmart and last week most dlc was half price at xbox store and the latest game mode is a free add on.
Still not a great game .
That was me, and the fact that they made some of the DLC available from day 1. Don't sugarcoat it, it was content already on the disc that they chose to put behind a paywall.
This game was on clearance at my local Walmart for $5 and I still couldn’t justify buying it lol
Should have called it AEW 23, made it 40$, and release 24 next month.

I’m not sure how no one saw this coming or happening. This is what people ask for this is a 2023 no mercy. It was never going to be this robust deep game neither was no mercy which is what everyone kept asking for because nostalgia is a lot bigger then the actual reality that games have come a lot further then that time frame so to want that back is going backwards. For no real reason.
No Mercy had a way better creation suit though, there's no denying that. But yeah, what you said is true

I got the game for $10 from Walmart last week. I still haven't opened and played it yet though. I have a PS5 but only Last Gen versions was $10 so got for PS4.

Thank you for the total honesty on it my dude, and yeah I mean, when you have some of the roster members (like uno for instance who did press and everything for the game) and can’t get into the game before you guys, it’s a little stinky to be honest but hey let’s hope for a better more polished round 2 from AEWs version of attitude (which is fight forever haha)
Tag team wrestling in this game was an absolute migraine to play, that was my biggest turnoff. Why tf is my guy walking into the ring on his own and why do I have a cool down for when I'm allowed back in even though my partner is getting pinned?

I agree with you the gameplay is incredible but the limiting of modes NO Crossplay no creation suite where you can at least download community creation an the fact their is no Cage. Brought this game day one an have all the season passes now we need to get Chris Danger in 2k24
The game is fun . Obviously not that deep and craation is what it is. But its fun to pop in have a few matches .

I like WWE 2K's CAW mode because it's more deeper than AEW's CAW mode. I like WWE's feature that you can upload images, and upload your faces in the game.
also i forgot to add , this game was , and still is , 40 bucks Canadian for base game . The other editions cost more because of DLC .Also they are not done so why bring up a second game ? We still have a lot more coming. Can't wait for season 5 next 😎😊

Whats crazy is this game and the gameplay is ridiculously fun as hell i just wish the creation and game modes had more depth so it had more replayability i hate when games come out and then like a year or two later are fully completed but tbh that may be the best case scenario for this game that in a year or two its a fully complete game but at the rate its been going since launch ive got huge doubts

This might be crazy to say but the biggest thing that turned me off of this game was the lackluster entrances. Which that’s just proof that the 2K games have spoiled me over the years because I loved the N64 games when they were the main thing in the 90s and the entrances in those are the same as this lol. Fight Forever is basically a big homage to the 90s N64 games. So I should love it. But I don’t. And I blame 2K for that because they have spoiled me lmao.

it's not bare bones . It has 15 game modes match types . They also need stuff to sell as DLC . Which is their road map
Brother, I bought this game day 1. I love the gameplay, matches are fun, whats there is great but yes; its just not enough for the price and the dlc isn't enough for the price.

Hey Chris can you screenshotthis list of priority quality of life improvements and forward it your contacts a AEW:
-Health Regeneration like every game have (You can see it regenerating in the Def Jam HUD)
-More match types (many are hidden in RTE, Handicap tag, handicap 2-on1, Tornado tag, 3-on-1, Gauntlet, Ladder Tag)
-Match Rule Toggles (like No Mercy had)
-TKO's
-Get In Hud for tag matches
-Partner controls like DOR (Attack legal opponent, attack illegal opponent, attack ref, set up a double team move)
-Move sorting in CAW like DOR (ABC order, by move types [all vertical suplexes/brainbusters, belly to belly, underhook moves together], and by Strength aka special movies on top weak grapples on the bottom)
-Limb Health Meter so we know how long until we tap like Def Jam Vendetta had
-Button mash HUD so we know how long we have until we kick out like 2K has
-Punish people for running outside and taunting by depleting their special meter. The old AKI games had this.
-Interference. The match against Death Triangle shows they have code for allowing up to 2 wrestlers to join mid match.
-Give us the option to choose insta-special before an exhibition match.
It won't matter, the game is finished. There's no more updates or patches coming. And no more DLC.
Mental gymnastics isn’t healthy
I stopped playing when I saw I had to buy season pack 2 after buying the elite edition I felt cheated TBH.
The game isn't perfect but unlike a lot of people are saying it is not bad. It is pretty good overall and has good gameplay and a good foundation to build upon stuff. They just need to add more content like creation options and Match types.
that's what they are doing from season 4 and on . We just need to be patient

Only recently, with the announcement for the Ultimate edition did they finally lower the price to $40 for the new permanent base game price. Way too late. Poorly handled not only with pricing, but the insane amount of rehashed editions that only ended up to be the Ultimate edition anyway. ("Bring The Boom," "Light The Fuse," and shafting people who got the "Elite" edition, all of which became the current "Ultimate" edition anyway.)

Maybe they will make a fight forever 2 and have a bunch of different match types a branching story mode with a lot of different story lines to keep wanting to play this game. The game is definitely fun to play but it gets very repetitive.
