- It was time to once again get to Warszawa Zahodnia station and explore more of beautiful Poland.
This time, we set our sights on Łódź, also known as the Manchester of Poland for its role in the cotton/textile industry back in the 19th century.
While, we liked Łódź right away, our impression of it skyrocketed once we began discovering its hidden spots thanks to Aleksandra, our amazing guide.
For the next trip, help us choose between Poznań, Kraków or Wrocław?
Wrocław is nice city but Kraków is also great
Definitely Kraków 👌
Wrocław! Spring is here 2 weeks sooner than in central PL. Left Kraków for the warmer weather and you could check out Tatry mountains also 😎
Definitely Poznań
Wrocław is The Best
Absolutely the unique city, once all city center is revitalized it will be the true pearl in Poland.
Łodź and Charkiw are both industrial cities with the greatest boom in the 19th century. Maybe that's why so many similarities.
That could be it, for sure, Michał.
Both had their biggest booms while being in Russian Empire.
@@aleskoutek8228 that is just a coincidence. Being out russian empire for botg cities woul d be muuch better
@@kornellenrok3248 I meant architecture. But you are right.
Łódź pięknieje w oczach, za 10 lat to miasto będzie perełką!
100%
The city of Łódź is on the National Geographic list - the 25 most worth seeing places in the world in 2022.
Hello my loves!! I absolutely am falling in love with Poland…and with this city! I even checked online for the restaurant “Manekin”. Hoping maybe. ..just maybe there is one here in the states.l LoL. The food looked so delicious. Especially that dessert! There is one in Warsaw too. I love places like these. Has that city feel and also kind of a hipster vibe. When I come to Poland.. I would love to visit this place. Great video my friend. Looks like you had an amazing time.
You know…Watching your videos. And experiencing these places along with you, makes me realize there is so much to explore everywhere! I live in the Los Angeles area… how many places I know I haven’t explored.? Yet.
Loving your vlogs my friend. Well done. You certainly know how to capture a moment in time🥰😉😎. Much love🤍🤍🤍
Thank you Cheryl! 🙏
@@planetjames95 …Thank You! So enjoyed this😉☺️🥰
10:26 Łódź is home to Polish Film School and in general a powerhouse when it comes to movie industry. Sometimes jokingly called Hollyłódź ;) hence also the boulevard with stars.
17:15 Manufaktura (similiarity with 'manufacture' not random - in polish it's a factory where there is craft production) is not only in industrial style - it is an actual old textile factory converted into shopping mall.
Aleksandra did a great job 👏

OMG you came to Łódź!!! :D That's so awesome!
I told you it's interessting city. I am so happy you invited a guide. This city hardly slaps you in the face, you need to look around, be nosy, walk into gates off your route and for that a guide (or very planned trip) is necessary.
You've seen everything I wanted you to see! I am so happy! Thank you for visiting my city :)
Thank you for presenting my city so beautifully! You even visited my neighbourhood Księży Młyn, now I am so sad I didn't know you were coming.
Cool neighborhood!
I am shocked how this city has evolved in positive way ;) 😮
Moja matka urodziła się z Łodzi...Bardzo cieszę się patrzeć waszy film!
Beautiful Town in Poland :)
Love seeing the country my great-grandparents came from!! Thank you for these wonderful tours! God bless! 💙💛💙

Znakomita wizyta w Łodzi! 👍👍👍
Great vlog as always. I love to see how happy you and Marina is. Marina ( the lovely lady) is smiling and glowing. You are in my prayers. Stay safe and thank you for your regular uploads. Kiss for Mosa from me. Lots of love from South Africa.
Hi! I'm so happy you visited Łódź, the city I live in for almost 13 years :D What's more, you stayed here for the night and you had a local guide to show you the city! Marina, thank you for all your smiles and comments and for your connection with the city, please come back, both of you (or three of you) for the light and move festival in autumn, it will be artistic and magical ^^ Thank you again
I personally love Łódź. I'm mostly visiting Łódź because of the concerts or sport events. I don't know how it is to live there but for the weekends it is perfect.
I was so happy to see that you went to Łódź! Loved the video!
Your positive and appreciative attitude is priceless. Thank you so much for sharing. And I love all of your nice comments about Polska. I feel the same way. And there is so much more beneath the surface. Perhaps you’ll get interested in Polish history from the founding and christening of Poland on. You’ll find gems beyond belief on a deeper level. BTW - don’t miss the churches and cathedrals in Poland - most are really beautiful. Happy travels!
Thank you for visiting my city :) I'm happy that you liked it 😀
There was a concept not to rebuild Warsaw after the war. Lodz was to become the capital. It even was for a while.
The Łódź Fabryczna station is still empty. Underground work is underway. A cross-city tunnel is under construction, which will connect this station with the central railway lines of the country and create the Łódź Underground Railway. A new center of Łódź is being built next to the station. Work carried out underground. You watch the music video: Meskie Granie Orkiestra 2021 (Daria Zawiałow, Dawid Podsiadło, Vito Bambino) - Ciebie też, bardzo
Meskie Granie is an annual series of concerts sponsored by Żywiec Brewery. The music video 2021 was filmed in Łódź, at the Center for Science and Technology EC1 (Center for Science and Technology EC1). A new town hall, residential, office and commercial buildings will be built in the New Center. Vehicle traffic will take place underground. In this video you will see excerpts from this investment.
Instead of the usual, I want to compliment you on how lovingly you treat Marina. You are so attentive to her, and want to make sure she’s ok with anything you do. You both left a stressful situation and starting anew. Marina looks very happy and is truly beautiful inside and out! A true gentleman you are!
Thank you! Very nice of you.
Aleksandra is the best guide you can wish for, she’s quite camera shy I have the impression, big thank you Ola for showing the shop where you can buy t-shirt with a jar of pickles, I’ve never been to Łódź before but thanks to you I’ll definitely visit to get that t-shirt
Gosh ☺️ thank you ♥️
Thanks for regural videos. Visiting various polish cities is a good idea for content. greets ;)
Watching you two commenting on the Polish reality one may have the impression that we are living in some kind of paradise here but I believe it is actually reflection of what you bring to this reality 🙂 thank you for so much of this contagius positive energy, Poland is lucky to have you here to lightehn it up, all the best for you and Marina
I love this format of videos where you show us everything even small details. Thanks 🥰
You guys always make me smile, thank you 🙂☀️🌷
Had a thought yesterday of getting to another town with you..and there it is! :) thank u!
Another great video! That building in Odessa - WOW! So beautiful.
Wow, you seen like.... 1% of murals in the city, there are 200 more like this ;D There is even a mural where you need to put 3D glasses on. Glad you enjoyed Łódź. I saw in one of your streams people commenting to don't go there. The problem with the city is you can love it or hate it. I guess these second part of people doesn't experienced Łódź properly. You need to know where to turn, what to seek, what to choose... good you have a guide. PS. for all foreigners who love The Witcher series - author of books Andrzej Sapkowski live here, also first The Witcher games were produced there. Łódź is the home town of this saga and besides this huge witcher mural we have even Little the Witcher Square;) Soon you can learn more about the books and comics in EC 1 - this space station near Łódź Fabryczna rail station.
I invited you to Lodz couple vidoes earlier and you came in! I am so happy! I waited for this video since friday :D I am going to enjoy this evening a lot :D I live in Lodz for last 10 years :D
Nice!

I'm really happy you liked my home town! :)
Marina's smile is just so lovely! Keep it up, guys! Greeting from Poznań and tomorrow when you read it... from Kraków (constantly on the move, trains do their job!) ;)
Super happy you both went to visit lodz. I grew up there till I was 10. Whole family lives there. Its amazing to see. It definitely has changed a lot but man do I ever miss it. Piotrkowska is one of the most beautiful main streets. Love and and that you for showing us what we miss
Greetings from a village near Łódź. I know Aleksandra :)
Maybe you should consider taking a local guide for Warsaw's hidden gems as well. It's fun to discover a city by yourself but even better to see the city from different points of view.
Agreed. We need a guide!
Exactly!
Great stay in Łódź and the film so interesting 🙂
I have been there so long ago.
Thank you
Kolejny udany odcinek :) Powodzenia :)
I'm glad that You were in Łódź and you appreciate this city. many people still complain that it's an ugly city, but I think a lot of people were either never there or were long ago. As I wrote to you once, it is a very young city with an industrial history. it is too dirty and worn in places, there are many gaps in the housing, but everything takes time. I believe that the proximity of Warsaw takes some of the potential of Łódź. but maybe someone will finally use it as an advantage.
I warmly greet You and wish You always feel at home in Poland. lots of peace
The city can be ugly and boring, but only for ugly (inside) and boring people ;)
*Ugly City, especially Bałuty Area* :)
Awsome exploration of Lodz! Very cool 2nd day.
Next time you travel there you should check out the film school there -quite famous in Europe.
I'm jealous of your travel adventures and the good food you're eating.
Go to Krakow last. It is like a pearl in the Crown of Poland.
Wrocław ( wrocLOVE ).
the city of a hundred bridges. definitely the next choice.
Aleksandra, What a pretty blouse! And I wish I had your hair. I love the murals! And the old factory buildings remind me of Waltham, probably where my mother used to work although I cannot find both a picture and the name of the company at the same time while doing a search. But I search for the name and I keep getting the same picture. Interesting...
James! Pan slower. I'm probably the only one who's getting dizzy, though. Thank you for taking us to all of these places!
In the train station looking down on the trains is awesome! What a great angle! Thank you for including it.
I haven't ridden trains very much. The commuter trains in Boston up to Rockport or down to Westwood. Otherwise just the subway and the trolleys and the elevated train which is actually the same train car on varying levels. And too many have been replaced by buses.
Now I understand why every European language teaches you how to say where is the train station? It's odd that I could only remember it in Polish and French but not Spanish. You would think that would be easier. Maybe we were busy looking for the library instead?
Obviously I have not yet finished. I'm sort of spreading it out, hoping it won't disappear in the interim.
When I heared sushi i was praying for that someone recommended you my no1 restaurant in Łódź and one of the best sushi places in Poland. I hope you enjoyed my city guys!
My favorite vlogger finally visited my home town ;)
Thanks 🙏
Łódź has been basically created by the decree of Russian tsar in the mid 19th century, when he decided it's going to be a good location for textile industry. From that day onwards Łódź exploded in population and significance. It was the hot hub of early Polish capitalism, though most businessmen who came into Łódź textile industry were German or Jewish. They built this metropolis
I don't know when it happened but I became your fan. Wroclaw next 😎
If you want to explore western Poland, I would recommend you to visit Wrocław (Breslau), definitely with some local guide, because that city is really big.
I'm happy that you're enjoying Poland. Keep it up!
Lodz is whatever you want to make out of it. It used to be very unimpressive, neglected industrial or post industrial city with a very high crime rite for the Polish standards but it has definitely some weird charm to it. It is the Polish equivalent to the Hollywood, Lodz is where you have the best film studios and the best cinematography academies.
It used to be the second largest city in Poland but during the 1990's and rapid deindustrialization it lost like 15-20% of its population and has been overtaken in its spot by Krakow and it is a little chance that Lodz will regain its previous position as the #2
Łódź will be overtaken by Wrocław in few years by population, it has no chance to regain as second.
12:13 I already know I’m going to like the apartment after seeing the very good old wooden stairway but with nice paint job and clean 🙂
Lodz is Hollywood of Poland.
41:12 this mural of portrait Artur Rubinstein- one of famous pianomaster of history
Łódź have a specific vibe. Right next to a station 'Łódź Fabryczna' you saw on the right site renovated place called 'EC1' - what a shame you didnt went there bc its so nice and impresive!
We didn't have time! Next time 🙂
I've never been to Łódź so it was a nice trip, it reminds me of Jersey City. Thanks.
I wish I could see your face when Aleksandra told you it says 'foka' on the t-shirt. Wait when you find out how polish ducks quack ;))
Marina looks great! I don't know how she manages to walk all these distances, especially without going to a restroom every five minutes. Seriously, I'm truly impressed. Once the baby is born she needs her own youtube channel!
J left Poland 🇵🇱 in 1979 😜 Warszawa 👍🇺🇸🏝🐊👋
Time to go back!
You definitely need to see Wrocław market at summer night.
There's a famous quote about this city from a movie, it goes "Łódź, kurwa!".
Also one very well known actor called it a city of bums/alcoholics.
Still, I love my city.
Ato sushi is actually one of the best in PL. They have amazing cake as well, highly recommend !

Wrocław to jedyna ciekawa rzecz na dolnym śląsku
Edit: no może bym Częstochowę i Śnieżkę dołożył
@@aven7gg213 Co? Dolny Śląsk to najładniejszy i najciekawszy region Polski.
If you would like to eat something from polish cuisine you can visit Pierogarnia Stary Młyn. This restaurant is in few Polish cities - Gdańsk, Poznań, etc. and there you can find some pierogis which are only for one place (example: in Poznań with potatoes and bacon) :)

Guys, you have to visit also suthern Poland. Katowice, Gliwice, Bielsko-Biała, semi Polish and Czech city Cieszyn and of course Beskidy mountains in the spring. Wisła town for example.
What a great tour! And that food looks amazing! :) I have to go back to Łódź some day. It change a lot since my last visit, like 10y ago.

Its so new that it might not have been noticed yet.

if you're coming back to Łódź one day, i can recommend you places where you can drink tea in place that looks like took out from a Fairy tale - Niebieskie Migdały
Oh, definitelly, most romantic tea bar in Lodz.

Greetings from the city with shortrest name in Poland - Uć, also named as Boat Town ;) i've been living here for ages and i love this place ;) dont have time to watch whole episode but i prommise i wil.
If You decide to go to Kraków then I would highly recommend going to a bar called RE at night, more precisely going to the garden they have. It's magical as long as it's not too cold outside. For lunch I vouch for Dynia Resto Bar.
Fabryczna translates to the industrial.
Go to Bydgoszcz is very close to Torun .It’s really beautiful city 👍
My home town :) You can love it, you can hate it, or both ;D But it has own special filling. There so many cameral places to sit and listen to free concerts, etc. But you can get from Łódź what you search. If you're searching old dirty scary bulidings you can find it. If you want industral feel you will also get it. Łódź is city wit two faces. Ask locals for help if you want to see this better, not obvious one :)
From living wise perspective rent or flat prices are almost half then in Warsaw. And threre isnt so many new developments. You have ones with high prices for example lofts and many post soviet buildings where flats are not so nice as new one.
Finally my city :)
We invite you to the city of Karpacz, in the mountains, south-west of Poland
