Hand-spinning your Bey just got even better....it's basically the only way to win! Make sure you watch till 3:36 for a super unexpected round and till 6:20 for some INSANE spin-stealing...Wizard Fafnir WON'T STOP SPINNING!
So the science is basically a great example of physics and the conservation of momentum. There is no such thing as true "spin stealing" only spin equalization. The total amount of RPMS in the system (aka the two beyblades spinning) will never increase upon them contacting each other. When they are spinning in opposite directions, when they make contact their parts are basically propelling each other to keep spinning because they are moving in the same direction. Say you launch both beyblades at 10,000 RPM. Because Wizard fafnir has a lot of rubber on it, when it takes the hits, more of the force will be transferred directly into the bey and the disk instead of being deflected. The rubber is good at absorbing which means it absorbs all that force. So even if they both hit at 10,000 RPM and both lose 500 instead of maybe 2000 rpm when two right spinning beyblades crash, the transfer of force into Fafnir is much greater because of the rubber. Thats why it bursts more at higher speeds. If you launch another beyblade at 10,000 rpm and hand spin fafnir at 1,000 RPM, when it gets hit by the faster Bey, the rubber equalizes the spinning more so than the force because the difference in force between your spin versus the movement is greater. It wants to spin faster before it moves because they are spinning at such different speeds. Therefore, the energy that would normally be taken in by Fafnir causing it to burst at the same speeds, is transferred into spin speed. So after a hit Fafnir is all the way up to maybe 3000 rpm and the other beyblade is down to 8000. The force that would normal burst Fafnir now goes into the other bey because it has to go somewhere, causing you to burst opponents with low spin speed. Obviously it is even more complex than this, but this is the basic idea behind it. SCIENCE!

What's happening here is physics The rubber cause a lot of friction which at full spin against opposing spin will cause Fafnir to burst quicker but at low spin the friction hits the opponent harder
Wizard Fafnir burst more when it lunched hard because when it hit to the wall the rubber make fricton, the rubber grab the wall because all the fricton but the disk and the driver keep going making a burst finish.
@Kuzon 147 it Burst more because the rubber creates more friction (sometimes absorbing to slow motion burst itself) causing it to click more as well. Unlike the other, Wizard is developed to always spin slow

The reason wizard fafnir was bursting a lot when being launched is because since it has so much rubber compared to something like drain or Geist fafnir it causes so much friction to make it completely burst on impact. But when being handspun it doesn't burst as often because it's spinning at low velocities which makes the bey not lose all it's clicks in one hit Edit: I just realized that everyone said this but mine is super long
The "unlocking" of the Beyblades comes from the fact that when the Beyblades hit each other, the layers briefly stop moving or at least slow down, but the rest of the Beyblade keeps spinning. So the reason that Wizard Fafnir bursts so much is that there is so much friction on the layer that it basically comes to a dead stop every time the Beyblade hits something, causing it to unclick so much more easily and thus bursting more often.
Beys burst because when they are attacked, the spring on the driver makes it lose clicks. Clicks would be lost more often at higher RPM because the spring would contract more easily. That's why soft launching/hand spinning is better for bursting other beys and increasing our burst resistance.
When you hand spin it you are doing a slow mo burst. When a fast clockwise spinning bey hits a slow counter-clockwise spinning bey, the rubber will grip to the clockwise spinning bey's layer making the teeth skip and will result as a burst
The science is that when you use a launcher, fafnir drains spin from dragon but it already has a lot of power from the launcher, so it gets overpowered and can't handle it to the point it bursts. However, when you hand spin it, there isn't as much power from launching it so fafnir can drain spin and not overpower itself to the point it would burst AND draining the spin makes it just powerful enough to beat the other bey. The power isn't too high and isn't too low either.

Because Fafnir was handspun, the opponent has to accelerate it, causing itself to lose angular momentum from the layer when that is the part accelerating the opponent. We cannot forget that the disc and driver have momentum too, so they persist in clockwise rotation while the layer decelerates anticlockwise relative to them. Alas the opponent bursts. Fafnir is also being accelerated anticlockwise, but a left-spinning beyblade is tightened by rotating the layer anticlockwise relative to the disc and driver. Now I can see Fafnir bursting if it is hit on the disc, but 99% of contact is between layer and layer simply due to their protrusiveness. Case 2: Fafnir is launched at or marginally greater than the angular velocity of its opponent. Either beyblade can burst, and I suspect it would come down to which one has tighter fitting parts and a heavier disc/driver combination. I have a theory, due to the design of the tip, it doesn't allow for absorption of impact so if you have the bey at top speed when you launch it will lose pretty much all it's burst resistance. However, the lighter the launch the better it performs since on top of it stealing spin, it also is fairly heavy so it hits hard through movement via instability and weight. Not to mention added weight also decreases burst resistance.

The centrifugal force in the right spinning bey is faster and stronger but when it collides with a left spinning bey like Fafnir, it just transfers the force to Fafnir which moves the layer forward with the disc while stopping the right spin layer in place. Similar to when you see impacts made by a dodgeball into someone's face, all that force is transferred to the person's face but the ball doesn't continue forward. Assume the dodgeball is the right spin bey and the person's face is Fafnir. It's a rough analogy but hopefully, it makes sense.
Hey beyblade geeks after watching this video i went to play around with my deep caynox bey and i think ur gonna like this..deep caynox/deep chaos can do the same thing as wizard fafnir can if u just place it in the stadium it can start spinning if another bey hits it :D mind BLOWING!
The rubber can make it spin steal but as it spin steal the rubber hits the metal disc and make it burst bc it alot slower so when fast right spin hits a rubber left spin its a almost guaranteed burst
I just saw the video if wizard fafnir launch faster, the beyblade gonna burst quick if you launch slow, the beyblade can get the energy from opponent beyblade and burst the opponent beyblade. If you want to battle you need to launch slow if you want to win the battle, only with the right spin beyblade

The rubber can make it spin steal but as it spin steal the rubber hits the metal disc and make it burst bc it alot slower so when fast right spin hits a rubber left spin its a almost guaranteed burst
Remove everything except the wizard fafnir disc and driver and for the top put mirage fafnir or geist fafnir.

I just saw the video if wizard fafnir launch faster, the beyblade gonna burst quick if you launch slow, the beyblade can get the energy from opponent beyblade and burst the opponent beyblade. If you want to battle you need to launch slow if you want to win the battle, only with the right spin beyblade
