Nice car, EXCELLENT choice. Had mine for 5 years & believe me when I say... the 'novelty' NEVER wears off. I still absolutely LOVE it!!! I keep mine in SPORT 99.99% of the time (because you can) Only turn it off in rush-hour or heavy traffic to make it less 'jerky', or on long motorway journeys as it doesnt make any difference if your just 'cruising' along at 70. I keep mine in sport mode all the time so I don't know if the mpg is worse or not, it seems pretty good fuel wise, for a bit of fun next time let your friend drive your car in eco mode for about 10 minutes then put it in sport mode and feel the difference, its an amazing transformation, you really appreciate having the sport mode option, it seems a bit flat in eco mode with reduced turbo boost, the car just comes alive in sport mode, for the sheer driving experience and awesome sound there's is nothing better this side of a ferrari! With the record monza exhaust there is a spring loaded valve, flap that inside that I believe opens with the pressure instead, ie when your rev through the gears, beware as this can rust and corrode with age and stay stuck but yours may be an electronic valve that activates, the older record monza valve was much more basic don't know what's causing the rattle, you could have a loose baffler inside the rear box! if it's possible keep the valve lubricated, greased, I've got a ragazzon, remote, electronic valve flap exhaust on my 595 with a novitec racing, straight through rear section on the back, sound way deeper than the standard abarth system and it howls through the revs, like you I love everything about my Abarth, life's Too short not to have an Abarth In it, nothing really comes close for the money! 👍😉🇮🇹
I have had mine 6 months now. Never had it out of sports mode. Last two cars before this were 2002 WRX STI tuned, and 2008 Golf R32. This gets heaps more smiles per mile
I had a series 4 595 in Podium Blue from new, best car I’d ever owned & driven so far, but I ended up returning it & bought a Abarth Grande Punto, needed a bigger car but wanted to stay with Abarth.
Had my 595 Turismo for 2 years now and i still love it, since my first drive its always been in sport mode, yes the turning circle is similar to that of a battle ship but you do have a hand brake for quick turns!

MrRadBee great video.... besides the new exhaust noise quirk, is it louder than the 500 Abarth model? suspension tighter now? Looks like this model has same HP.
Yeah it’s getting checked on Monday buddy so hoping to get it sorted. I’d assume the same bhp yeah. What colour is yours then?? and is yours a Competizione?
Right!, I've driven 595 comps for the last 5 years, and I've driven them on your local roads. That's a bumpy road past Horsley lodge, btw!. If you want a detailed reply, just ask!
Seriously, the first thing your mate needs to do is wear those front tyres out and replace with michelins or Goodyear eagle f1s, pirellis are only any good on a smooth, warm road.
@@Redcardesign yes, Belper. But I smashed my comp up last year on pride park, so driving a van now! Definitely swap the tyres bud. @@Redcardesign can't speak for the new monza, but I ended up having my monza swapped under warranty. The valve tends to seize internally. I wouldn't bother wiring it open permanently, as people say it leaves if vulnerable to moisture and internal rust(although new sport mode rules out that quandary).
