pure legend - love her!
What a beautiful down to earth super star. Darlene, I am the same age as you. I have been falling your music since you started. May God bless you always. Love you so much girl. You are truly humble. You go girl.
She's still so beautiful
I lovee Ms. Love and Bill Medley together.
Darlene, you have inspired me. I have to get my head out of the muck so my brain will fully function again. Thank You!
Four years latter I watch this on You Tube, I just love Darlene Love.
Her old friends helped her out such love.
Outstanding Interview ! love "DL" great interviewer; the flow & questions etc !
I love Darlene Love ❤️. Just discovered her energetic singing and performance, especially singing with the Springsteen E Street Band. I wish she would come to the DC area.
They need to make a movie of her life! WOW!
Darlene Love's autobiography, "My Name is Love", is a great read. This was an excellent interview!!!
Oh Thank you I did know about it. I’m going to go buy it!! Thanks again!!
What a beautiful real classy woman. I love her voice.
Darlene Love was born in the Spot light.
Please don't get it twisted.4 ever a star.
She comes across as a real blast of a person. Great interview !!
a classic
Fantastic interview. She is just wonderful.
See, "20 Feet From Stardom" the flick that got Darlene an Academy Award. This was LONG, but after reading her book, she has a story that wasn't told here!
Every thing is for a time and space. How true.
Darlene Love's Autobiography is a wonderful book . If you get the chance please read it. She is an amazing lady.
Yes, I love it too, very entertaining
A gift from Gene Pitney....'He's A Rebel', wrote it.
YES DARLENE WRIGHT IS A REAL PERSON , AND A GREAT SINGER AND I WOULD LOVE TO BE HER FRIEND .
raymond schmidt it will be a wonderful thing to meet her .We share a lot of character similarities. It will be an honor and a blessing!!
No one like her. Such a beautiful and humble woman. ❤
She sings my absolute favorite version of 'Lean On Me'. Better even than Bill Withers' original.
Darlene is 73 here - looking & sounding 43.
Beautiful lady......fabulous voice of course and a musical history that goes back decades.
Great interview!!! Thanks.
Darlene's memory is a little fuzzy. 'He's A Rebel' was not from the fifties - it was recorded in 1962. The original recording was by Vicki Carr, not Linda Carr.
I met her on the set of a Lethal Weapon movie years ago and she was delightful.
A neat woman with a neat story. It is long but well with it.
Where's the movie?
Nice interview but the interviewer talks entirely too much. He knows his facts and keeps the conversation flowing nicely but goodness!!
Snow ball turn up heat.
AND A LOT OF PEOPLE CAN SING LIKE ME , AND SONNY BONO.... EVERYONE THAT MAKES IT , HAD SOMEONE HELP THEM. NO ONE DOES IT ON THERE OWN ....
I’m a fan of Darlene, but I wish she’d make up her mind about what happened with the recording of “He’s a Rebel.” In most versions of this story, she says The Crystals were touring on the east coast and couldn’t record it. Another time she said she went to New York to record the song. In this interview, she says The Crystals were too young to travel to L.A. to record the song. Which is it, Darlene?
I don't have much of a problem with her mixing up the facts. She's in her 70s now and 1962 was a very long time ago. I'm a huge Brian Wilson fan and he mixes some things up too and he's about the same age asDarlene. I imagine when I'm like 75 I'll mix up a lot of things from when I was 21. In all likelihood it was recorded in LA since the Blossoms were an LA group. It could've been recorded in New York because the Blossoms were old enough to go unlike the Crystals.
56:56 .. Listen.
Notice she didn't say she reached out to Cher for financial help. To me that means she either reached out to her and got turned down or knew Cher would turn her down and didn't bother.
The audience is so no responsive Sam on you. She is music legend.
The interviewer is awful and needed to be better informed
DARLENE LOVE...THE REASON THAT HOLLYWOOD DID NOT CAST YOU IN ANY MORE HOLLYWOOD MOVIE,BECAUSE,YOU ARE A TRUE CHILD OF GOD ..THAT THE SATANIC HOLLYWOOD DELISTED, COULD SEE,THAT YOU ARE A RE AL SAINT...THAT IS COVER. WITH THE BLOOD,OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR,DADDAADDDAAY JESUS CHRIST!!!!😃
I dont like the intriviewer i dont. Know why but ego bothers me.
Than this interview shouldn't have bothered you, as Darlene doesn't have an ego....
@@darreylhenderson702 no ego then why there in cabol

Good lawd ... reading your comment was SO ANNOYING 🥴
sorry asan ex singerv ..i was VERY UNDERWHELMED.. and i have known the best like the SWEETINSPIRATION ETC..AND after her so so solos..i notice he never ntroduced HER back up singers.. hypocryte..not worthy of hall of fame..sorry..\
You're wrong . I've seen her in concert many times over the years, and she always introduces her backup singers. She even brings them forward to sing with her and lets them sing solo also.
