Comparing Paladin's Wind-Up Enforcer with Druid's Dragon Golem really kinda showcases how overtuned a lot of Druid cards often can be in my opinion. Even considering that Druid's "class identity" is to have powerful late game drops and manacheat, while Paladin typically has a more "honest and straight forward class identity" Wind-Up Enforcer feels weak enough to be a neutral card honestly.. and Druid cards like Dragon Golem get nerfed after the fact all the time. Someone high up at Hearthstone definitely has a soft spot for Druid lol
Who doesn't love Shando Stormrage and Cenarius??? They deffo been my favorite heroes and themes from Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos, summoning the treants to push back Tichondrius and outwitting Archimonde. Damn the only reason I play Hearthstone is to roleplay those cards in as his power my head.
Wind-up enforcer might be a one-off in mining paladin. Trade it until you get your excavate reward and play a board of 6-8's as your last push. If shroomscavate hasn't won you the game already that is
Pipsi good with tyr but really anti synergistic with every other paladin card this set, seems like just another crusader aura aggro deck, got crazy good support with arbor up 2.0 and trinket artist
I think they should change all these wind-up cards to upgrade by 2 each time they're traded rather than 1. And even then, most of them should probably get their mana costs reduced and/or some other bonuses such as taunt on the Wind-up Enforcer. Fancy Packaging seems like a great combo with Schroomscavate. Schroomscavate can already end games if you start your turn with a minion on board and some other buffs in hand. Now it'll be even easier. Basically a 4 mana give a minion divine shield, windfury, and +2/+3 (and excavate on top of that).
@@barcster2003 How many copies of itself would a 6 mana 3/5 need to create on board for it to be good? I'd say like 3 (maybe just 2 if just created that many copies from the get go on turn 6, but it doesn't). To get 3 copies (4 total) you have to draw it, trade it, draw it, trade it, and draw it again. For one thing that takes a really long time (in fact you're probably not even going to make it to 2 trades before the game ends), and for another thing you've now spent 8 mana to summon a total of 4 3/5s. All when druids can do the same thing for less mana, with taunt, and without needing to trade it twice.
@@WadeAllen001 by defualt it creates 2 and if you upgrade it does more i think its pretty good if you trade once. That's 3 3/5s, play crusaders aura and go face for 15.
@@barcster2003 Those 3 3/5s will arrive late in the game when they'll be easier to deal with. You could trade it early and draw it again by turn 6 but it's not all that likely. And to use crusader aura to go face for 15 you'd need all 3 of them to stick into your next turn. It's all doable, I just don't think it's going to work out that consistently.
Weird set for paladin, feels like there's no coherence between the cards. Also some cards feel extremely underwhelming while other seem like they could be nerfed a week into the expansion
There's some coherence. For example I see a number of cards loving buffs and auras. Wind up enforcer, toy captain tarim, painters virtue, flash sale, crafters aura, tigress plushy, bucket of soldiers

Man, a lot of the Paladin card this set are just... mid. They are either too slow or too conditional to be practical, would get completely steamrolled by the aggressive decks that will be all over the place at the start of the expansion, as it always is whenever a new expansion releases. Trinket Artist looks really good, but the whole rest of the "Divine Shield" package leaves me feeling doubtful.
3 mana double tutor that comes with a 2 mana body, I honestly hate how efficient draw and resource management are becoming, we are basically playing yugioh with mana at this point
Looks like Blizzard deliberately destroyed Paladin. They didn’t like Paladin having an aggro deck, so we are turning back the clock to a time when Paladin was way too slow and low value.

For Wind-up Enforcer, it’s important to remember that trading it won’t remove any buffs it has in hand.
That's good to know. I hadn't really seen the interaction before, because I never played handbuff alongside tradable cards, so I was wondering.

To be honest it does.
Like the similar one about deathrattle minions… with those wind up cards im gonna keep trading them and then basically never get to play them lol

Would crafter’s aura work better with some mana cheat? Something like holy cowboy?
Not looking forward to even longer crusader aura turns but at least the rest of it isn't great
Crafter’s Aura needs to be at the start of your turn, and even then it’s still pretty bad :(
7 mana do nothing, sweet!
Then you'd even miss out on potential disruptive minions like taunt minions so yeah...pretty shitty card
Palladin will absolutely dominatr in arena with theese commons and rares
Hey Regis. What Product do you use to style your hair?
Crafter's Aura and Origami Dragon in the same set feels like trolling on Blizzard's part lol
Id say "stats for the sake of stats" sometimes wins arena so some of these cards may just be arena cards
Re Wind-Up, will tradeable still work if it's stuck in your hand and already at Summon 7?
It will not lose tradable so yes.
Also you'll likely never get that high before you play it
Cowboy into the new aura seems not terrible
Oof, not Howling Commander getting powercreep by Trinket Artist 😢
You're sounding better, but still a bit ill. Get well soon(er)
Cardboard Golem will be a must in every swarmy Pala deck
I think pipsi needs to be DR and not BC or it wouldn't work with other big cheat cards in palladin.
They should have given it taunt though.
Wind up enforcer can be thrown back into the deck for purposes of that guy that doubles minions' in deck stats.
Lorthemar is rotating after this set releases unfortunately.

I think people arent realizing some things. Hand buffs and aura will make wind up enforcer pretty good.
