I typically don't comment on videos but I must give kudos where it is due! My 7 y/o got her hair done 2 weeks ago & yesterday 2 of her locs came out. I like to try things myself before reaching out for help. I found this video & 'OMG' it was a HUGE help! I re-installed 2 fresh locs myself with the help of this easy tutorial!! Thank you so much!! Lordt, now I think I'm a jack-leg loctitian!😂 But, seriously this video was so helpful! Thank you!
Glad to see I'm not the only one struggling. I spent the better part of the night doing & redoing 1 or 2 thinking "if I can just get the hang of it" but the tool keeps snagging & the loops are hard to undo. Going to see if I can do this with passion twists instead, although I'm not holding my breath, but i can't cornrow to save my life so if I can find a hair that's easier to pull a plait through it'll be a game changer for me.

You don’t even have to cut the loop just pull your braid from out the loc. It was pulled in it can be pulled out. I would still suggest a short wrap around the top tho. Cuz ion know how this gon look without that
@@aquiringmind Yes, but which brand??? There are several and these seem easier to feed the hook. I struggled with pulling my hair thru the pic…It’s either the brand I purchased or the thickness of my individual braids. I used Janet Collection Nala Treas Gypsy Butterfly locs. End result was nice, but….

Problem is.... how do u take that out?
Cut the loop at the top of the extension carefully, then slide it down and out of your braid.

You don’t even have to cut the loop just pull your braid from out the loc. It was pulled in it can be pulled out. I would still suggest a short wrap around the top tho. Cuz ion know how this gon look without that
This is how I do my own crochet braids. You can you any kind of prelooped braids.
