I like how you make it sound like it's a new feature of Daz Studio, "our new face control rig", when in reality it was made by Faux2D and it's a product being sold for 50$ in daz store just like any other product like characters, clothes etc.
On this one all you do is apply a mimic animation and then play it till it doesn't do what you wanna do and then just in the most fun way just change the face animation then play the mimic animation again and then when it stops on somethin you don't wanna do again just change it this is the best thing ever!!!
I think using the phoneme morphs that you click on to add a phoneme morph a specific frame might be the ultimate key to super fast lip sync animating I just started messing with it and that mixed with mimic I'm done in like 3 minutes with a quality animation... Thanks so much Dez for figuring out these scientific approaches to 3D animation like you do
I really love if this facial rig controls are transfered with Bridge plugins to Maya and C4D. Infact C4d rig lacks many functions but Maya 1.6 update has good Rig controls, but please also make a facial controls in later updates.

Just a warning for Diffeomorphic users if you don't put your Face Control folder in with all the rest of the other stuff in your content directory then if you import your file into DAZ you're gonna get a bunch of missing files so even though it's nice the way he has it and I prefer it that way you still gotta have Face Controls with all your other stuff if you use Diffeomorphic but i mentioned because with the latest Diffeomorphic version one point 1.6.2 Face Controls appears to work so far really easily
Is there any way to save expression created with Face Controls as Pose preset or morph or anything. I just can't figure out, how to convert it to pose preset and use it in blender via diffeomorphic. Subscribed to your channel, but i cant find solution anywhere. Any advice or tutorial on this? Thaks a lot
@Milan when you bring it into diffeomorphic check everything...visemes facs controls, facs expressions....that whole import list...if you want to bring in the face controls themselves...reply to this and I'll walk you through it🙂

This looks cool, but it costs $60 & most of what you can do w/ it seems to also be possible (& not much harder) w/ the free built-in PowerPose tool. Why not enhance PowerPose? There's already a face control template there, but it's not very useful, allowing only basic translations & rotations of individual face regions.
@@Omegaxxxfly What do you mean? The new Genesis 8.1 figures have this built-in (albeit at the cost of breaking existing expression packs). Otherwise, you do have to pay for it.
Yes. You make the expression, select the face controls rather than the character's head and do SAVE AS - POSE PRESET. When you want to apply them to a new figure based on the same architecture (eg- if you saved on Gen 3 you can apply the expression to Gen 3 ) you bring the figure into the scene, apply face controls to the figure then, you click on the face controls (NOT THE FIGURE) and then you click on the expression in your library.
I had Genesis 8.1 in my Content Library/Genesis 8 Male/Developer Kit, But I could not get it to work, and then it *_disappeared!_* Cannot find it anywhere! And it doesn't show up in My Accounts in the DAZ store, nor does it appear in DIM. Is it a stand-alone product, or is it part of something else?
In terms of game analogy, Daz seems to be selling both game play and every game item all at the same time. If you want to sell lots of game items, doesn't it make more sense to improve upon game play to engage users more rather than requiring users to pay for game play itself?

Can you use Daz to generate shape keys/blend shapes as in the 52 ARKIT blend shapes.

it doesn't work for me, every time I try to make any expression instead of moving do mouth or any thing the full head move
You have to select and translate arrow, not the whole head, maybe thats causing problems
