Haven’t commented in awhile but definitely worth buying. My mom recently bought a Passport HPD and she absolutely LOVES it! Especially for the price, features and bc she went with Obsidian Blue Pearl 🙌
Upgraded wife's car from a civic sport to Honda EX-L. I asked her if she wanted the trail or HPD but she wasn't really into all that upgrade. The Ex-L for 41.5k has everything you already need as well. Memory seating, Moon Roof, and Leather is what she really loved. Also the AWD.
How does a decal, wheels and a fender flair make something a “performance vehicle”. Otherwise, it’s so much like all of the other trims. Not worth an additional $2900.
Hear me out, the center console is great for us mail carriers. The car has enough room too. I wish where the gear was at is flatter and it would make a great rural carrier car
I have the gold rims matching the HPD on the side this thing is sick fast as hell power don't have any problems with it took it to Buffalo in the snow it's a beast I love mine I might have the only one in Charlotte definitely a eye catcher
I would totally get this passport but deal breaker is lack of newest verison of Honda Sensing. As soon as they put in the newest version + newer styling--- count me in!
Owned a passport for a couple years, I was never in love with it. Looked at trading up to a new fully loaded pilot and ended up going with a loaded explorer st instead. While there was a 10-15k difference, the hp, tq, braking, and handling was way better. My ST is actually more fun to drive than my 21 Sti in a lot of ways.
I had a Honda Black Series Passport for a rental recently. I was not impressed. I prefer the Explorer and the Pathfinder. I had a 2020 Explorer ST and now own a 2022 Pathfinder Platinum.
I went from a 2020 passport to a 22 explorer st, and they st is a way better than the passport. The st ran me 15k more than the passport but it’s has more tech and features, over 100 hp and tq more, and it handles like a sports car.
I'm actually leaning towards a '24. More than likely, the new 3.5 and 10 speed will show up and improve the interior. Already have a Pathfinder and I don't need another 7 seater. Toyota has a subscription fee and the 4Runner is still delayed. Chevy is hit or miss on reliability and the Blazer's cargo space is too small. My '17 Escape is showing it's age at 80K miles and had to fix the coil packs. The codes won't completely erase.
Driving a 2022 Passport was not fun. It is a basic ride with a few bells, but it will never whistle. Every time you restart the engine you must reset the center screen. This vehicle does not remember your settings.
@@ProAlchemist I have a “good eye” for cars and I’ve literally never seen one here in Phoenix/ Scottsdale 🌵 area. Most people choose the CR-V or the Pilot
its because it isnt as off roady as the 4runner and it isnt as luxurious as the Santa Fe. Its a mix of the 2 but everyone ones the 4runner of the Santa Fe. Ive legit seen like 3 in my entire life. (not counting dealerships)
My bet would be people who prefer the 2 row format, would prefer something with a more passionate design. After the the Durango, I would say this is the 2nd most minivan-pretending-to-not-be-a-minivan SUV on the market, at least in terms of styling. The main things the passport has going for it better than most reliability (but still not quite as good as Toyota's), better than most roominess (but still not as good as Volkswagen's), better than most drive system (but still not better than Jeep or Subaru), better than most power-to-weight (but still not better than the Blazer), etc. In most categories, it's respectable and near the top. But I can't think of any single category where clearly leads the competition. That said, I'm in the market for something like this but don't fit in the Toyota, want more room than the Blazer wouldn't buy anything Hyundai or Kia, and have concerns about the long term reliability of the Atlas and Grand Cherokee. So the Honda does end up being a serious contender. Sometimes consistent 2nd's add up to a higher overall score than a few wins over a season.
I thought the trailsport and elite came with that. Or maybe it's just trail cams. Even if that's the case, honestly, I've never seen a 360 surround view system that looked worthwhile in use. I absolutely love the concept, but the actual implementation limits their usefulness. Trail cams, I would actually use.

Looks good except the large HPD on the side is unnecessary

I will take this over the Highlander because of the V6
I did
We did choose the passport over the highlander and 4runner. We liked it better than the toyotas

I hope they update this like the Pilot for the 2024 model year
Pilot is already outdated. Plus many are experiencing leaking roofs.

Great review of the HPD package on the Passport! Keep up the excellent work Ben 👏

Very nice-looking Passport. Just get rid of the big HPD decal. Price seems a little too high.

Why do you need Honda sensing?

That's a great ride

My 2012 crv has the same centre console system, this isn’t anything new, but I love it
Nice car great futures 😊
I’d rather have the Elite if I’ve got to pay $48K for it.
Should be called HSD Honda Style Division. Because it doesn’t give you any performance
+1 to that. One of my pet peeves with car companies is "performance" appearance packages.
That decal is tacky. The Passport would look better as a trail sport in that light blue color.

We can only hope they keep the V-6.
v6, yes please
2023 Honda Passport EX-L 3.5L V6 9-Speed Automatic HPD Black Package!
Did I miss auto brake hold??

If you want fun, buy German.
I never see these…. Literally never….
Because they blend into the suburbs like a chameleon

I saw 1 the other day. I have been looking and they do seem to be scarce. Not sure why.

Hey Ben can you fart on the seats in that Pilot so I can buy this exact model?
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I wonder why they didn't add 360 camera view like they did in certain Pilots ?

would be better if the fuel efficiency is higher
Most will probably wait till they update this model, the interior is super dated.
Good
Honda get rid of that chrome
They don't tell you what HPD stands for
Honda Performance Development
Not sure if honda wants it to sell properly? This one looks ugly and no tech. The badge hpd makes it more uglier. Old technology. It should be 30k max
Honda has the worst infotainment icons and design. They cant spend $5k to design something not out of a 2005 Vizio TV.
