It was hard making a choice cause each version has it's own uniqueness.
When it's all said and done, I'm going with the original version I first heard last week.
I think it's great you aren't afraid to step out of the "box"(pardon the pun) and try new ways of creating.
The Alesis Quadraverb is a great piece of gear, I still have my original Alesis Midiverb II and Microverb 1 and II as well.
I've been in a downtime for creativity so I'm exploring some of my older gear for inspiration.
After watching one of your videos using the DP03, I pulled my Tascam DP24SD out of storage and also fired up the Midiverb II for external effects. Also woke up the Alesis SR16 Drum Machine to add to the party. lol
    Thanks for the inspiration.
As luck would have it, my dedicated music computer PC with all my software on it, won't power on(Sunday) and needs to go to the shop.
But I have to say I've been enjoying not firing it up, looking at a screen or click click click on the mouse.
    Enjoy your song release day..

Thanks Richard! I'm happy with my remixes, but mostly, I enjoyed the process. I used to be quite precious with my recordings, and over the last few years, I've tried to push my own buttons as much as possible. It's been more fun and inspiring than I expected.
I'm glad to have encouraged time with old gear, and I'd be interested to know what you liked and disliked (compared to using a DAW). And I'd love to hear your impressions of the DP24SD. I've been frustrated by a few limitations in the DP03... mostly the absence of a send for aux/effects. I'm sure the DP24 has that and more, but I worry that it might be more than what I want.
      Thanks again, and take care!

@@JordanSeal I've been using my DAW for many years, but bought the DP24SD a couple of years ago, because I missed working with a mixer(I even tried a Soundcraft 22MTK Signature Series mixer as a hybrid system and it sounded great, but went back to my computer and sold it.
Tried a Zoom L20 and sold it and wound up with the DP24. I only recorded one song with it a couple of years ago, and put it in storage, but after watching some Tascam Model 16 and 12 videos, I felt the urge to do a more hands on approach to recording and dug the DP24 out of the closet.
My last 4 songs were high production songs and I spent long hours trying to get them right, by the end of the last one, I was emotionally physically drained and took a month off before just messing around with the Tascam DP.
I"m still learning it, but I'm really impressed with how well thought it is, even down to having built in software for mastering(haven't tried it yet).
You're right, it does have 2 send/return effects. Send 1 is for the eternal effects and Send 2 is a send for external effects, and for stereo you need to use one of the stereo inputs, or 2 monos for the return.
I'm not real impressed with the reverb and delay, but I have to dig deeper and find their sweet spots.
This thing is built like a tank, and I love the color display.
I also like how you can choose 24bits and even 48kHz if you want.
Main differences for me is workflow. With my DAW, you have to turn on the computer, load up Cubase, turn on my audio interface(Presonus 1824C-excellent)...yada yada yada
With the Tascam, I just turn it on and it's good to go. When I'm done for the day, 1 button push and I'm done.
I like how using the Tascam it pushes you to be more creative since you don't have a plethora of software and your disposal.
I've had 8 track reel to reels and cassette multi-track portastudios, and I love working like that.
Once I get a demo song completed, I'll master it with the DP24 and burn it to a cd and see how it sounds on the big stereo in the living room. If it sound great, I may just work with it for awhile.
