- Created and directed by Mark I. McNutt, "America's Original Outlaws" is the incredible true story of the Doan Gang. Long before the outlaws of the American southwest, the Doan Gang laid a path of chaos and violence during the American Revolution and came very close to destroying the hope of a new nation.
In 1783, the Pennsylvania Assembly passed an Act regarding the most notorious outlaws in the land.
Calling them “felons, murders and traitors to the American cause,” the Pennsylvania Commonwealth issued a warrant for the capture or killing of members of the Doan gang.
In addition to countless acts of treachery, two years earlier the outlaws robbed the Bucks County treasury of banknotes, gold and silver.
Legend has it the outlaws buried it in a secret location.
It remains to this day the largest theft of public funds in US history.
The money has never been recovered...

Where can I watch this series?
The project is in development. And this promo video, which you replied to, is not officially 'launched' yet. It was set up as a test and no effort has been made for promotion as yet. That will come following the launch of the website in about 5 weeks. We are waiting to determine if we''ll raise money to shoot full episodes on our own or seek some sort of deal vis-à-vis Netflix, HBO, Hulu, History Channel, etc. It's a great story, and I appreciate your interest.

I grew up in D-town as well. Was introduced to the story a little more than 20 years ago and began research, which continued off and on up until a few years ago when I decided to do something creatively on the subject.
