Thrift addicts unite! No need to apologize because as far as addictions go thrifting is not that bad. Enjoyed your video and all your haul items. It was like thrifting in the comfort of my home. 🤪❤️
"The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" is a sequel of "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" and both was filmed in 30th. There are also many other movies filmed later but they aren't so accurate. The latest is from 2014, if I'm not mistaken. I had DVD of movie filmed in USSR, the story covered both books and had few series.
I'm slowly becoming obsessed with this channel ngl you seem like a safe person (idk if that makes sense but basically your vibe is immaculate). Also thrift hauls are thrifting are addicting. I actually went today and found an amazing pirate like shirt but it was way too big sadly. I live vicariously through the videos of people who find cool stuff 😅
Aww I’m glad you enjoy my videos! How big was it? I ask because I have a shirt I use as a base for Renaissance looks that’s very piratey and it’s massive on me but once I layer it under a vest, belts, and tuck it into trousers it’s perfect. The billowy-ness just works, and I feel running into a room like “hello! My name is Inigo Montoya!” 😂
I totally know what you mean about vintage books and wanting to know what’s inside! I would love to buy secondhand an Eaton Press or Franklin Library book, but I’ve never found one that I’ve wanted to read, and they’re so expensive!
I'm so glad i found you. Even though I'm very true to my hippie style, I see we're very much alike. As our style comes together, a new me is come to be. Don't you agree how we're alike. The short vests go very well with my tie dye dresses. You are very beauriful, and I'm so glad I found you. By the way, I'm 74 years old. Dr Linda
The fairy print in the gold frame is from a beautiful book called Flower Fairies of the Seasons by Cicely Mary Barker, each one represents a different plant or tree and has a poem. I was given it as a child and still treasure it to this day. I think you'd like it too.
I like ur vids & haul nice 🎉question what’s do you use for your hair color ? Bleach or no ? I love this color mine are red but not vibrant that yours thanks for response have a great week 🌹
My hair is fairly light naturally, like a light brown that lightens to dirty blonde when I’m in the sun so I don’t have to do a lot to lighten. I only do a bleach bath as needed when I dye the whole thing (instead of just root touch up). I use Ion brand bleach powder from Sally Beauty and mix it with 20 volume developer & equal parts shampoo and work it into my hair. It’s less damaging than straight up bleach, but it lifts a whole lot less so if your hair is darker it won’t be as effective. The brand of hair dye I use is also Ion from Sally Beauty Supply, the color brilliance line. I use 2 colors mixed with 20 volume. The colors are Intense Red Blonde & Intense Red (one is more cherry one is more copper, I feel like the mix is a good in between). I have a picture of what the packaging looks like in my story highlights on my Instagram. It’s by far my favorite color I’ve done and it stays very red for a long time. However I also don’t wash my hair very often since 1) my hair is Mia Thermopolis Thicc 2) I have wavy and dry textured hair - that probably allows me to get more time out of my color. I only really do a full color touch up every couple months and that’s when I do a bleach bath first (allow to dry before applying color - I made that mistake before it it didn’t turn out as vibrant when applying the color to damp hair). Hope that helps! Sorry if I over explained haha.
New subscriber here and I loved the vid! but the only thing that I would say is this video was quite unfocused which made it abit hard to watch without my eyes straining.. Other than that it was great! I adore your style it reminds me of Rachel maksy!
My auto focus has been wildin lately 😅 I have to tap on the screen to make it focus which I forget to sometimes between takes. I’ll try to get better about that lol. & Thank you!! ❤️
I wouldn’t say that Huckleberry Finn is completely non controversial since it’s a book about slavery and uses a lot of period typical slurs/stereotypes. It’s a book that’s still taught in schools but there’s a certain word in it that gets used frequently and can be jarring to read.
After thinking about it I kind of figured it would contain outdated language that could seem jarring & offensive. Unfortunately a lot of literature written in certain times and places are a product of said times and place. From what I remember in class Mark Twain was very anti-slavery and used stories to show the hypocrisy of the ideals of society of the time that upheld it. It’s definitely something I want to do more research on since it has been years. www.aft.org/periodical/american-educator/fall-2002/life-shaped-mark-twains-anti-slavery-views
@@DressMeUpScotty I understand what you're saying. Personally as a WOC I have certain feelings about the book and there are elements of it I don't like, but like you said the intention of the story isn't malicious and it may be flawed but at least Twain is trying in his own way.
@@starrdust411 ❤️ I very much appreciate you sharing your perspective and I wholeheartedly agree. Honestly it’s been so long since I’ve even thought about Mark Twain I didn’t even realize the books contained slurs (I always thought they were children’s stories). Hence my usual rule of being familiar with a book before buying it. I’m always afraid of bringing something into my home unknowingly that’s hurtful. I have family that are POC so I try to be mindful.
Omg haha yas he was my first childhood crush 😂 also I just realized that “Tool Time” was the name of Tim Taylor’s show within the show of Home Improvement 🤣 I still have “Tim the Toolman Taylooooor!” in my head rent free 25 years years later lol. I loved that show so much.
@@DressMeUpScotty omg I didn’t even catch that! Totally right. I knew what you meant though! I just saw in a video that you’re from Sac! How cool, my hometown is Vacaville.
