Tbh, I Dont think Gygas was like this It were supposed to be like mist with Gygas deforming heavily, so thinking abot it as a formless solid mass is a little incorrect because if you see Gygas in a different position you can see Gygas Face, like, you are seeing gygas upside down because he twisted in that way Even with that, Gygas also twisted in multiple forms, a child, a face, an embrion similar to himself, ect, so it had a meaning, a super twisted one yes But not pure malice, he was the concept of fear, evil and dispair not the concept of malice that appears here
