I can't believe that this is the same series that first appeared 30 years ago with the final boss being a penguin who stole food from the citizens of Dream Land.
yeah HAL is pretty ambitious. goes back to the routes from time to time but the final bosses have gotten to be pretty insane, espically "Soul" bosses in later updated games or true arenas.... or even fucking that Grand Doomer ...and he was only boss 5 of return to dreamland!
Let's compare some off its attack with other soul boss from the past till now: Drawcia Soul and Soul of Sectonia: The Bouncing Shpere and The Great Fire Ball Marx Soul: The Rain of Blob and The Infinite Black hole Star Dream Soul OS: Summon Black hole and Meteor Magolor Soul: Black hole laser and Black hole teleport Void: Barrage of Laser Every Soul boss (except for Magolor Soul): The Deadly Cutter
Coincidental similarities between Kirby and Sonic: . The main villain Fecto Elfilis was split into two because people experimentes on him, just like Solaris in Sonic 2006. . He is the ultimate life form, like Shadow the Hedgehog. . The final boss is called Chaos, like in Sonic Adventure. Were Kirby inspired by those Sonic games, or is there something in Japanese culture which inspired both? I wonder.
Might be something in Japanese culture because the _Splatoon_ series also has: An incredibly intelligent immortal cat that got cloned and the clone is resentful. A giant bear that you fight that must be over 33x your size. And the final event of the second game was Chaos vs. Order (Chaos won).
This has got to be the most unfair boss, but in a good way, the greatest boss in any switch games, one of the greatest video game bosses ever. Definitely among the top 5 greatest video game bosses. Disagree all you want but it’s my opinion.

When we fight them both in battle, they really aren't that difficult and just feels like a regular boss but with two health bars. Sure, some of their attack are OP, but if you know what you're doing, you can dodge them pretty easily. On the other hand, Chaos Elfilis has fast speed, his attacks are stronger, and the attacks he uses are kinda hard to dodge if you don't know what you are doing, and yet, Chaos Elfilis isn't even that much of a God. So yeah, I can definitely agree with you on that, pal.
I don't really know if it's explained but it seems like Forgo after merging or being controlled by the butterfly finally let go of its "invasive ambitions" and accepted its other half.

Oh wow. I just noticed when it does the swooping attack that drags the spear against the platform, it has a sound barrier explosion as it's coming in. I checked the normal fight, and it isn't present. I don't know if that's just a visual cue, attention to detail, or both, but it's cool either way.
Look closely at the sky, or rather, the mass that surrounds it during the fight. That looks an awful lot like Drawcia's battle background, doesn't it? Makes you wonder if she's truly gone, or if she's just biding her time inside that butterfly......

@@Gamerseheuwhwbw When You're doing no damage runs, it's incredibly terrifying. You're literally on the last stretch of the run and the second phase has some very strict timing to dodge projectiles. One hit and it's over. When I got to the end of my successful no damage run, my heart was beating out of my chest, I had to dedicate full attention to multiple points on the screen in order to not only track where Chaos Elfilis is to do damage, but also keep an eye out of projectiles.
@@Daveaintreal Yeah i beated chaos efflis minutes ago, I beated him months ago and I wanted to try again the reason I said it’s terrifying because of the beginning, it doesn’t have any music, with just a black hole and saying “And here we are.” Multiple times, Chaos efflis is the most terrifying boss in the whole game history in my opinion. I mean yeah it is terrifying with the no damage runs he’s pretty annoying for some people that is doing this.

I need that power to survive to the end and watch my favourite bosses however long I want! (I discarded it against Phantom Meta Knight) I…I still just can’t believe it! I beat the final tournament FIRST TRY, and finally witnessed all the attacks Chaos Elfilis does that are never shown - that was my reason for getting this all along - and I had nothing but doubt I’d make it! I was SURE I wouldn’t make it to the end! Sorry for the rambling, just, I’m still baffled and stunned by what I accomplished!

I don't really think that HAL was intentionally trying to fool anyone. The original Japanese moniker for Chaos is "Soul Chaos - New Species". "Soul Chaos" is also the original Japanese moniker for Void Soul, which was localized as "Essence of Chaos" in the English localization of Star Allies (Personally I would have localized Chaos Elfilis's as "New Species of Chaotic Soul" or even "New Species of Chaotic Essence"). Along with this, it is referred to as "PerfectChimeraSoul" in the game's files if I recall correctly.

In my opinion, this wasn’t the hardest boss in the entire game; that title went to either Phantom Meta Knight, or Phantom Forgo Dedede.
