  • Hi RUclipsrs.
    Thanks for watching.
    I’m doing a solo mission today. After a little mishap a few weeks back I thought I will come back to Kawakawa bay and pay another visit.
    I’ve drove past this bay many times before and I haven’t given it any merit.
    So with a new softbait rod and reel (that I tethered of course), and a renewed energy, it was time give this place another go.

    What a change in the weather, I would not have gone out in the bad weather, but it cleared up nicely. Enjoy the fish. John

    Nice one, good to see more of your stuff on the tube. Have you had any close calls with passing boats that motor past and who don't give a fark?

    • @SchecterNZKayakFishing
      @SchecterNZKayakFishing  4 года назад +1

      Thanks CCM. No problems yet. I think most of the passing boaties around here are well versed with the maritime rules. Just keep visible, (light, flag, fluoro gear etc..) and it should be all good. Good luck out there.

      Thanks mate. No way! The wind was too strong the past week. I stayed home and made this video instead. I have a Garmin Striker 4CV. I didn't bring my fish finder with me on this trip.

    Wicked vid bro. Just curious do you fish without a sounder and if so any tips on how to find the fish? Didn't look like you had any problems finding them!!

    • @SchecterNZKayakFishing
      @SchecterNZKayakFishing  3 года назад +1

      Thanks bro. In a place like Kawakawa bay the seafloor is very flat. There's the signs of structure here and there, which I mark on my GPS. I will then cast a softbait or lure over or near any structure I see on my FF. I typically fish where I find structure. I hope this helps.
