    I went there few weeks ago, I have to say the food is absolutely amazing. Chill, enjoyable environment, and you are actually tasting the originality of the ingredient is the best part of the Shabu-Shabu.

      about that lol, I wasn't too hungry when I got there, so no. However, if you can eat a lot, you might want to get a slice of pizza before you do the Shabu-Shabu.

      @@briangleason5597 I would argue, you don't go into an omakase to be stuffed. Go to a buffet for that.

      I love this kind of concept as a half Japanese. Shabu shabu is my family favorite when it comes to weekend gathering, well.. other than grandma's soba and gyoza.. and that itself is already special. This is even more special. Cooked to perfection kind of shabu shabu.

    This is a interesting concept, I feel like this would work well in NYC since it's breaks away from the trends of the type of food that is offered at current and upcoming NYC Japanese restaurants. Love how she is taking shabu shabu to another level!

    • @Vision33r
      @Vision33r 4 года назад +1

      Shabu shadu is very time consuming, nyc is very expensive to run a place. How many Japanese places in NYC runs out of a tiny section on a corner. Barely enough room for 5-6 tables. Most of NYC is also full of Chinese style hot pot places. There are real Japanese shabu shabu but it ain't cheap which is really sad because in Japan shabu shabu is not that expensive.

    There are some valid reasons regarding why this combination has not been attempted before. Shabu-shabu is an engaging and entertaining social and culinary experience, where you can bond with those around you. That said, it took about 15 seconds of video for me to decide that this chef can probably concoct a better tasting meal than the boiled-tire flavored horror soup that I usually come up with, so I’ll give this a try.
