What makes Hannes even cooler is that not only is he this incredibly talented but he is also one of the nicest and most humble persons I've ever met. I ran into him and had a small conversation with him a few years ago, and he was such a suuper nice guy.
Dont know if u ever read this Hannes but that is some of the best drumcam ive seen, takes me back to when i was training to get my double thumping tight, i never made it like this
1:11 the ride cymbal makes those few seconds even better! Sabaton used to use that when they were recording Coat of Arms, nowadays they don't really use that :(
Yeah i think it comes down to the change in drummers. Daniel Mullback, their original drummer used that style of beat very often, Hannes still does, but not that much
ok i can see 2 reasons why he uses the drumheads on 1 basedrum, i never did this i wasnt aware people did untill like 10 years ago. 1. Its easiar to get same sound if u using 2 baseheads on one drum. 2 u get another basedrum to hang stuff on apart from having only one basedrum. Example Europes drummer used to play 2 basedrums but lately he have used only one, but he still uses 2 heads.
Double pedal on a double kit kit? Lame. You can hear a slight difference between the strokes too. He'd have so much more power if he played both kicks. And no, it's not hard to tune two bass drums together.
I think that's often a "requirement" from sound engineer to make his work easier. And some guys just love double pedals because it gives a bit more freedom for the layout since other kick drum is only for the show.

Listening to this beat thru the song, he is so tight in the double thumping it makes me feel so bad as a former drummer how good he is

You have to listen more carefully The Christmas Truce
He makes it look sooo easy
Cus he's good :D
Very easy song on drums, but requires som endurance for sure.
Just practice and you will be able to play just as well one day !
He's been playing drums all his life man
Hannes the crazy!
P. S. Hannes is a really cool drummer!
I played on my drum kit and DAMN my legs hurt
Try Wolf and Raven by SA.

Ha, ha. Hannes, your'e the beast, and the best. All the best to you and your family. / Micke P
I was not expecting drums only, yet I'm certainly not dissappointed!
Damn i played this on my drum set
Jesus its a Hard one for the legs
Grande sei una Bomba complimenti

@Julia Fragoso what new is in the intro???
This the soundboard mix for the drums? because damn it sounds good for a live mix, a little on the dry side though (for obvious reasons).
It is actually the acoustic sound of the drums on the stage - a recorder just placed close to the drums. So nothing taken from the soundboard.
What recorder did you use?
I am using Zoom Q8
@@anttikangasaho Ha! Does Zoom make any bad products? No, no they don't!
Tuleeko lisää??!
Ainakin kaksi lisää on tällä hetkellä suunnitelmissa!
How the fck is he doing this so long with his feet 🥵🔥 i was dying while playing this... Does anyone know? 😮
einfach üben, irgendwann kannste es auch ohne das dir die Luft ausgeht:-)
Forelle20 Ja stimmt schon, aber hast du das Ding mal gespielt? 🥴
@@janmi2170 ja in letzter Zeit spiel ichs wieder täglich.
Forelle20 krass hab ich auch probiert jedoch hab ich dann gemerkt dass ich mit der rechten Hand noch überhaupt nicht das Tempo hab 😕
@@janmi2170 wie lang spielst du denn schon?
Does he use vic firth thomas haake drumsticks or wincent thomas haake sticks?
He's a Wincent guy, never used Vic sticks!
Why 2 bass drums when he just uses a double pedal on 1 drum
More and more metal drummers are doing this...
@@Drumzylvania why though that seems like a lot of extra work for no reason
@@willslaughterguitar its actually easier for the sound guys since they only have to tune and mic up one bass drum instead of two
@@jesuschrist4345 well yeah but why being two bassdrums though
@@willslaughterguitar because it looks cool
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😊
That is a snear sound only sabaton can rock it. Cuse all the army stuff.
BOG!!! GOD!!!
Tight
TAK'TAK'TAK' PRRRRRR...
Weird how he uses two bass drums but only one has the kicks
Today I learned they have 24 months in Finland.
Hey look, it is an American!

I can do that too! For a couple of seconds atleast wwwww

Acting like you know more than the band members and crew? Lame
@@jazzmaster909 Acting like if he or anyone could tell the difference hahaha.
And this is why audio engineers don’t like drummers.
@@jazzmaster909 And how do you act?
Awful sound!
its supposed to sound like this though
You do it then
@@harrysterry6726 he means the audio for the clip is awful (which it is), not that Hannes is awful.
