To be honest, metal is probably the genre with most storytelling in lyrics. I mean there are SO SO many concept metal albums, it is insane, furthermore tons of metal songs are telling a story, but they are off of non concept albums.

Iron Maiden IS touring this summer...this is the one show you should see above all others. Legacy of the Beast tour...they will be in Mansfield MA August 1st (I assume this is the closest show to you guys). They will be in Brooklyn NY Jul 26 and 27. I am going to see them Aug 22nd in Chicago. The setlist for this tour looks great to me...
There is a series of Legacy Of The Beast shows on eBay and these two shows that you mentioned are a part of it. They are all professionally recorded and sound amazing like an officially released live album. I have both shows, Sweden Rock Festival 2018, Hellfest Festival 2018, Rock In Rio 2019, and a few others. They all also have bonus live songs from past tours that also sound amazing.
Steve Harris (bass player/ founding member) plays soccer. Bruce Dickinson (vocals) was a world class fencer still stays in shape. Nicko McBrain (drums) eats bbq and plays golf as well as Dave Murray (guitar.) Adrian Smith (guitar) fishes. And Yanick Gers (guitar) well, I don’t know what he does in his free time.
Dance of Death was the last album I really enjoyed. Later albums i could pick up songs I like from them, but i lost the passion. But i still go their concerts whenever they're in my city :D Good song choice! I agree with the guy who said you should go to the concert. Their legacy of the beast tour promises to be a great opportunity \m/
Did you know Bruce Dickinson is also the pilot of their own airplane during tours? after the show, while his bandmates are sleeping on the plane, he's flying the damn thing
Bruce said in an interview once how he prepares for a tour by rollerblading around in a big, empty mall parking lot singing every song in their set to build up his stamina and help memorize the lyrics.
Hey guys. This is a great song. Good review. Iron Maiden Does put on an A M A Z I N G show. They are currently on tour. I will be seeing them in Phoenix, Az in September. You should check their tour schedule and go see them if they're anywhere near your city. You mentioned training and how Bruce jumps and runs around. Well, before every show, he puts on some roller blades and skates around the parking lot of the venue or hotel while singing every song to stay in shape both vocally and physically. He is also a world class fencer (sword fighting) and a commercial pilot. He flies their Boeing 747 all over the world while they are on tour. Will you please do When the Wild Wind Blows? I think you would be thoroughly enjoyed.
. 6.15 Vin is like, when the F will the action begin?! - 7.30 Vin is getting his hopes up - 7.50 Vin knows the show is on and he is once again experiencing Steve Harris and the best band all times! Iron Maiden FC/Stockholm, Sweden! Oh man I love this song so much!
Hey Vin, love how you pointed out the whole storytelling aspect being affiliated with the track being pre-made! It's definitely doable in a traditional process, but much easier when you have the instrumental made beforehand. Some Rock and Metal bands/artists actually write the instrumentals before the lyrics. Linkin Park is the first one that comes to mind that openly talked about having that hip-hop writing process.
Steve Harris (bass) & Janick Gers (guitarist) were jumping during the song. I found out that most of the members plays football or we called soccer besides training. Bruce has to train due to he is licensed airline pilot in order to keep up on his flying credentials.
Thnks again guys. What can you say. Classic. Listening and watching maiden just makes me feel good. I think it's time to delve into the first 2 albums.

I think Sori you will especially love this: It’s time you reviewed a second QUEENSRYCHE (another Seattle band) song. Vin loved ‘Eyes Of A Stranger’ last year. I recommend ‘Silent Lucidity’ their biggest hit. It went Top 10 in 91 and was nominated for Grammys and AMAs and nominated for 5 MTV Video awards, winning one, beating R.E.M.s Losing My Religion in the Viewers Choice category. It is a beautifully lush ballad with strings by Michael Kamen of Metallica fame as well as many film scores. The album Empire went triple platinum and is their biggest seller, even though ‘94’s Promised Land debuted at number 3 on Billboard. Queensryche is a band that deserves your attention. You will love it so much I think. Video is great too. Please use the studio version or official video version. No good quality live clips. Trust me. Sooo good.
I know you guys won't do it but I'm gonna ask anyway LOL! Think about doing Screaming for Vengeance from JP, Anything from Metal Church, and possibly something by Doro. Iron Maiden never disappoints.
Hey Sori, I think I get what you mean about the stage lights and the specific color in different areas...for example @ 6:40 when the floor lights up red as if he was walking on the coals just like he says in the song..."and the blaze of the fire did no hurt upon me, as I walked on to the coals"
Give a listen to Metallica's All Nightmare Long. The song is filled with great riffs, drumming and variations. From Iron Maiden listen to the their very under-rated song called The Legacy.

... how can any sane person dislike iron maiden.. I don't get the downvotes. Like even if this isn't your kind of music you can appreciate it for being good.
Dance of death is probably inspired by a town in Europe in medieval times where people started to dance until they collapsed out of dehydration. Many danced for over 70 hours without water food or sleep. Psychologists agree to the theory that they were poor and did a subconscious escape from their terrible lives. The official story was that the city was cursed, and people with a lot of struggles then talked themselves into being cursed.
So the modern theory is that they were already starving due to the greed of the town but also indoctrinated enough to never protest town or church which was entwined. The end result is that people protested, but they weren't aware it was a protest
The church shot themselves in the foot when they proclaimed that demonic powers started the trend of dancing. Now the desperate poor people knew that partaking in the dance wasn't a choise according to the church, so more people switched one hell to another, deciding to dance until they die, because the church would deem them posessed!
13:10 "Training"... hasn't anyone mentioned this: Iron Maiden _play_ *football* (or "soccer" as Americans like to call it, despite the *fact* that the Chinese game called cuju (蹴鞠) from the _second_ and _third_ centuries *BC* has been recognised by FIFA as the *first* version of the football. By contrast, _American_ football started ca. 1869)! *Harris* played for amateur clubs as a child and was later scouted; he had aspired to play professionally up to that point, but eventually realised that it wasn't really what he wanted to do. Harris has his own team, *"Maidonians"* :)
