- To celebrate the release of Bon Jovi's new single "Legendary," Jon Bon Jovi talked to Loudwire Nights radio host Chuck Armstrong about letting each member of the band speak their truth in the new documentary Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story.
Bon Jovi's new album Forever comes out June 7th, and Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story premieres April 26th on Hulu.

This guy is a legend. Saw him back in the hair days (late 80s early 90s) Awesome performances.
Very little turmoil. No drug issues. Married to his high school girlfriend ( I think)
He took the high road and never looked back. That is EXTREMELY rare in that business.

Jon has admitted to infidelities. He has also dabbled in drugs. He got divorced in 2007 and left the band in 2013 andwent straight into rehab Again.. taking care of ur children is obviously common sense, nobody referred to him as being a narcist, because of now all of a sudden he wanted to take care of her... she was already 16 and he was always in her life... to be honest he needed her more than she needed her, was the only way to turn to... Strange how the history of Bon Jovi, mirrors that of the band Dokken. It's so sad that incredibly talented people, let their egos get in the way. They need to remember, that their success was a GROUP effort. The personality conflicts are heartbreaking but thankfully, the music and songs are legendary and will stand the test of time.
How is Bon Jovi anything like Dokken?
@@evomink The guitar player and the singer in both bands had personality clashes and they couldn't agree about which musical direction their bands should go in. George Lynch ended up leaving Dokken and Richie Sambora left Bon Jovi. Something similar happened with Van Halen, except David Lee Roth was the one that took off.

How Jon has lost his voice and can’t sing anymore?

He lost his voice because he damaged it irrepairably when he recorded and toured slippery when wet and new Jersey followed by eighteen month long tours on both records. Instead of taking days off between shows he added more and more concerts forcing his band to burn out. His voice was so damaged he had a doctor backstage every night to shoot steroids into his throat to stop the vocal cords swelling.
It's his own fault.
