    I used my 401k to payoff my mortgage back in 2020, it’s been bliss since then.

      Greetings brother, thank you for all information . I learned so much. I have a question for you, 5 months left to pay off my mortgage my friend’s name is the mortgage only his name, my name is on the deed I took his name out on the deed years ago. My question is do I have to see a lawyer before I pay off the mortgage? Thank you for your help.🙏

      @@junes8299The deed proves that you are the legal owner of the house. The mortgage shows that there is a binding contract with the lender. Despite your name not being on the mortgage, you are the legal owner of the property. Although you are making payments, the bank may not disclose certain information about the mortgage to you because you are not listed on the mortgage. If it were me, I would speak with a lawyer first just to be safe.

    Bro.Taj, thank you very much for the very informative contents. It is truly a bad mindset to think about paying a mortgage for almost all of one's working life. In Nigeria and other parts of Africa, the mindset of the culture is to save up your own money and buy a piece of land and build your own house.
    Over a decade ago, a story made headlines in a national newspaper when the mad cow disease was having a terrible impact on the dairy farmers here in the UK. A man got a phone call from his bank manager, and his bank manager informed him that his 14 years old son had taken out all of his money from the account that his parents opened for him when he was born and used it to buy a house, the man paused, and responded to his bank manager with this question, " You are telling me that my 14 years old son has bought a house and he is mortgage free! and I, his father, I am still paying off my mortgage! I have been taking financial advice from the wrong people."

      Thank you for sharing that story. Many people from other countries look at Americans as wealthy but it is quite the contrary. Many Americans struggle with their finances because they have the mindset to finance everything.

    This is wonderful bro Taj, can you break down the "emergency savings, 3-6 months" concept? Just to get a more in-depth understanding behind it? I ask because it sounds like it'd be separate from a savings account. Thanks in advanced & peace be unto you.

    Can you do the same with credit cards

    • @trufincoaching
      @trufincoaching  2 месяца назад +1

      Great question! Credit cards are considered revolving debt, so it would be difficult to amortize if you are still using the card. If you were to stop using the credit card, then you could do the same thing with it. Thanks for listening 🙏
