Honestly, I don't get Seth MacFarlane saying that he couldn't differentiate Fred and Peter Griffin personality wise. They're nothing alike! Fred came off more like Shrek in the sense that he's a straight man, who contrasts the insanity around him, and is a loving father to his kid and cares about those dear to him. Whereas Barney is more like a mixture of Donkey and Peter Griffin in the sense that he's more of a lovable doofus. The fact that he lacked such a basic understanding of the characters kinda proves that he wasn't the right one for that project.
Plus Homer Simpson is already a really good update on Fred (well, at least seasons 1-10 Homer). He even sang his own version of the Flintstones theme once lol

Its a piece I really hope is found eventually.
There’s actually a small demo reel by animator Joe Whyte, where there is test footage of Woody, using audio from “A League of Their Own”. An unfinished model of Zurg is also shown. I’m SO glad he was able to animate before and after the closure of “Circle 7”.

I wonder if that cancelled Batman series is somehow connected to the Zellers commercial. For some backstory, in December of 1989, a chain of Canadian department store called Zellers (think Target... which actually bought them out in 2012) put out an animated Batman commercial, utilizing animation and designs similar to the ones in the concept art. Strangely, the Robin is A. Taller, and B. I think either Tim Drake, or Dick Grayson (most likely Dick, as I believe Jason Todd was dead at the time). The designs are eerily similar, and the fact that both are connected by being Canadian is also of note. You can find the commercial very easily.
if it's really a cut/scrapped episode "room with an ed" was likely reworked into the episode where ed is grounded and the episode where sarah was sick as they both have similar themes & setpieces (i.e. ed is relegated to a cardboard box in his now empty basement when he's grounded and eddy tries to teach ed to stand up to sarah when she's sick).
I'm honestly happy The Flintstones one wasn't made. That last thing we need is a classic show becoming yet another Family Guy clone. Oh wow, how sad wrt treasure planet 2. The film was so good, I loved it as a kid & even still. That's what a passion project will do. Though... at that point, Disney sequels were still usually pretty bad. Returning voice talent is usually a good sign, but hard to say if it would've had the same quality as the original film, assuming treasure planet had done well in the box office.
It's so sad that Disney didn't respect Treasure Planet and its creators at all and advertised the film horribly. I had never heard of its existence until a few years ago and now it's one of my favourite animated films. Disney didn't simply buy the rights to the Pixar movie characters, they always owned the characters from the movies Pixar made under Disney outright. They could use the characters in any way, shape, or form without Pixar's permission, and if the split between the two happened, Pixar would make films for another entertainment company with the express problem of THAT entertainment company owning those characters as well. The Circle 7 stuff was clearly the last gasp of Eisner's influence, and the Pixar buyout (which lead to Pixar being the head of ALL Disney animation, even Disney Studio originals) was the first of Iger's moves as the new CEO (or so I'm lead to believe).
