B"H Very cool song Vesper. Love your voice on this. You sound amazing and the arrangement is so cool. Very original yet still very 70s sounding. May G-d bless you and your family always and forever.
Just remembered to go back and watch this as I wasn't able to when it first came out...this is fantastic! You're really getting good with the musical machinery--keep em coming! 😃
Wow, this is excellent Vesper. Love the music, video and lyrics. Great production. You really stepped out of your zone, and it's sooooo good. Always a treat to hear a Vesper original, and this one knocks it out of the park. Be proud, very proud of it. :)
@@Vesper_Songs The lyrics, music, video and vibe are wonderful. Had to revisit to watch/listen again. It's a great representation of your songwriting skills. I noticed you recorded this to a Model 12..would you mind giving a short explanation on how you did this? did you dump the tracks into your DAW and mix from there? I have the Tascam DP24SD I used for one song(Maya Darshan*(the gift), but I've always had an attraction to the retro workflow and nostalgia of the Model (16 or 24). The menu diving on the DP24 was a bit more work than I'm used to, but may pull it out of storage and try again). Anyway, really love this song.
Hey Richard, I don't use a DAW. In fact, I was attracted to the Model 12 because a DAW is not required. I record and mix directly on the Model 12 and save the recording to an SD card in the board. Then when I've mixed and saved the recording, I connect the Model 12 to my laptop and send the file over. Hope that makes sense. I'm not a super technical person but I'm working on getting more skilled with this stuff. Thanks again for being so supportive and kind with your comments 🙂
@@Vesper_Songs wow, that's a great workflow. The audio from the 12 sounds great. After listening to the production of Incognito, consider yourself fully skilled.🙂
Good to see that you copyrighted this song; it's a good one. The lyrics paint a dark, depressing picture of a person best left avoided. When we encounter people like this, it doesn't take long to regret the experience. Catchy, and a very good composition. The video held my attention easily with very good editing. Very nicely done across the board, bravo (standing ovation from my chair in front of the keyboard).
Listened again today, love this to bits. I don't like comparing, but this does have a bit of Heart feeling to it(but it's definitely you you you). I have one question, and it's if you had considered doing the drums in stereo? It sounds great the way it is, I love the way you mixed it, panning, etc. Just a personal question, as I said, I think it sounds wonderful. I'm jealous of your production on this. 🙂
Thanks so much, Richard. I am not surprised it reminds you of Heart. They are one of my biggest influences :) As for the drums and stereo, I am using an electronic kit so I am not sure if I can do that, but I can investigate. Do you know? (I am not the most tech savvy person).
@@Vesper_Songs We must belong to the same club, because I'm not very tech savvy either..lol (really). I wasn't aware you actually played from a kit, great job!! I did a search on it, and I couldn't find an output jack on the module, just headphone jack and USB out. I looked at a video from Sweetwater and their video sounds like stereo to me. How did you get the audio from it into the Tascam? does it sound like stereo when you listen with headphones from the little black box with the kit? Just to reassure you, the mix sounds great with it the way it is...I was just curious because my Alesis SR16 drum machine has stereo, and a couple of other output jacks for the kit.
Yes, I think it does sound like it's in stereo when I am playing it with headphones on. I was able to connect the drums directly to the Tascam input to record.
@@Vesper_Songs I was hoping you'd say that. As long as you have the 2 cables L&R coming from the headphone cable, to 2 channels on your mixer, you're good to go. I think you have everything mixed and blended so well, everything fits nicely in their sonic space. And the drums don't overpower the song, which is good. I was impressed by the Roland kit, and love that coach thing they have with it. Sorry I distracted you a bit with my question, I listened again this morning and it sounds wonderful. You should think about putting this out since you have it copyrighted...bandcamp or some other outlet.
