  • A look at a few shops on what you can get this winter to keep warm. I went to MEGA Don Quijote, Cainz, Edion, UNI QLO.

    Double - socks ---
Thin cotton socks with wool socks over the top.
The pure cotton socks act as a 'wick' taking moisture from your feet.
The second layer then traps the heated air - thus keeping you nice and warm.

@@larrikinjapan You're welcome. I spent a lot of time walking though snow with freezing feet - before someone gave me the tip. Keeping your feet warm - makes a hell of a difference. Also keep your head warm. You're right. Thin layers actually insulate more effectively. But I prefer natural fiber where possible.

I always found the cold wind 💨 a killer( especially on the face) when l was in Anjo. I liked the warm hand, feet and body heat pads( they are available in Australia now ). UNIQLO is my home for clothes. Last trip l bought the summer wear to bring back to Australia for our summer. T shirts there are really thin material and cool , the same with the pants. Thanks again, keep living the good life in Japan.

Double Bubble wrap on window. Reflective surface. And most important, a kotatsu.
