    Definitely do a video on the Umbriel Crisis. It would probably get a decent amount of views from people who don’t feel like reading the books lol. Also could include a part of speculation about the sleeping tree since Hist ASAP is supposed to have intoxicating effects, but maybe the ones from Oblivion have different effects

      I think the theories about the sleeping tree and the basics about Umbriel as well as the new ingenium were already covered plenty by camelworks, but a more detailed video about the story from the books and the historical impacts from the Umbriel crisis would be much needed. These include some very major events that i don't think have been covered outside the books

    I'm sorry if you already covered this topic in one of your videos regarding diseases and sicknesses, but it would be interesting to have a lore video discussing real world medical conditions (like cancer) that appear in the games or lore. If there are even any examples, of course.
    I could imagine it's most likely a really obscure topic, though, so I completely understand if that's too far of a speculative reach for you to discuss.

    • @ImperialKnowledge
      @ImperialKnowledge  Год назад +2

      That is definitely not too far fetched. I made a video on STDs in TES and several diseases in the past but never on that. Considering previous research experience I think I wont find anything since in terms of diseases almost no real world ones seem to have been carried over by the writers. Likely because TES games can serve as an escape to IRL and the writers would not want to remind people of sad stuff and thus they invent their own diseases. Buuuutttt…. i havent looked into it yet. That is just speculation. i may look into it soon thanks!

      With the amount of time I have that is unfortunately just not on the table. It would likely be a 20 minute video talking about the lore behind it and the basic story
      Like, spoiler free here in the comments, I’d focus on where umbriel came from, why it came, what happened and in general which characters were important. Id focus almost exclusively on the lore explanations and leave the “and then this character went here” for the book/audiobook (audible pls sponsor me so I can give it for free to people bc the audiobook is decent)
      I got the feedback that my questline videos are less enjoyable bc I focussed too much on the story rather than lore implications. And I kind of agree with that as by discussing lore implications and general story themes I dont ruin a potential playthrough (or read in this case) of a story

    I'm exceedingly curious about something I haven't seen ANYONE make a video about: how does nobility work in The Elder Scrolls universe? It's obviously different from our 12th-14th century monarchy systems, but, it seems as though anyone can be a merchant, own land, hire a small army, etc. Is there a metaphorical line drawn? Could anyone potentially own land and run a store? Or is this limited to certain classes (like the Pelagius family)? Im sure there an easier way to ask this, but I wanted to make sure I was clear. Lol

    Refering to your "The History of Tamriel - Introduction...", as time continues, would the people of the empire/tamriel recognize your character as dragonborn and try to throne the dragonborn? It would be done rightfully so right? The emperor was assasinated in ES5 (in the lore not sure if it was still "you" (the dragon born) or the brother hood alone) regardless, as time were to continue, the question is: Will the dragonborn of ES5 be throned?

    Pretty sure the eldergleam tree is one of the oldest living creatures in Tamriel if not Nirn as a whole. It wasn't brought as a sapling by men as it pre-dates any known races in Skyrim

    • @ImperialKnowledge
      @ImperialKnowledge  Год назад

      I thought the same until I found this dialogue which you get if you approach danica after getting the rumor from an innkeeper that she wants the sap: It's an old tree. Very old. They say it was a seedling when the first men were arriving from Atmora, thousands of years ago. The sap is precious. It can restore barren fields or bring life to rocks. I can use it to repair the Gildergreen, so we can worship properly again

    • @nonso3396
      @nonso3396 Год назад

      Oh seems like my earlier reply wasn't posted. Maybe cuz of the dialogue that I shared with source link.
      Anyways I couldn't find that dialogue of bringing the seedling from Atmora.. Perhaps that comes from a mod like immersive npc dialogues or something.
      But the actual dialogue I remember from the quest as well as the one I shared that didn't post has her saying the tree is the oldest living creature in Skyrim, pre-dating men & elves, which is why their metals can't harm it.
      The seedling that does get planted when Atmorans began settling Skyrim was the gildergleam in whiterun. And the sapling for that was gotten from the eldergleam
      What's so special about this tree? "To the east of here is a hidden grove where the Eldergleam resides. It's the oldest living thing in Skyrim. Maybe all of Tamriel. Our tree here in the city was grown from a cutting of that tree."
      What kind of weapon would work? "Eldergleam is older than metal, from a time before man or elves. To even affect it, you have to tap into the old magic."

    • @1337w0n
      @1337w0n Год назад

      @@ImperialKnowledge I've thought about it a bit more. So nuts are edible seeds, and fruits *contain* seeds. I suppose they _could_ refer to the seed inside the fruit as a "nut", but this defies convention since edible seeds in fruits are usually just called seeds. See: pumpkin seeds. Another possibility is that it's like almond trees: the immature form of the seed is called a "fruit" and the mature form is referred to as a "seed", but this is the only time I'm aware of something like that happening, and I'm not sure that it's _technically_ accurate to call it fruit. I hadn't considered your solution but that *also* makes sense as a possibility.
