In this episode Cornell Wilde outdid himself as one of the creepiest characters I've ever heard in any radio drama. Maybe he was even too good, because that guy could probably make any woman's skin crawl in five minutes which makes it implausible that any girl would ever get in a car with him, much less that anyone was ever married to him.

I got 1st comment! Good episode but man! Cornell Wild's accent is ANNOYING. Still though, I'm crazy about ...Suspense! Binge listening IS PRACTICALLY MANDATORY.

It’s a cold hard shame so many people have gone THEIR ENTIRE LIVES HERE ON EARTH having never heard a single episode of ... SUSPENSE!!🎺🎻🎶
My own 78 year old Grandfather even.
      Not a single episode.
He didn’t even know that a Gunsmoke radio show existed. Just as a loosely related side note.

@@Mattm182 Poor guy, he didn't know what he was missing! I listened avidly to both those shows throughout my late childhood and early teens as well as Yours Truly Johnny Dollar, The FBI in Peace and War, Have Gun Will Travel and Indictment. I'm in my mid-70s, a few years younger than your grandfather. Johnny Dollar was my favorite in those days but today it's Suspense hands-down.

@@dontaylor7315 👍:-) My intro was The Six Shooter, then The Texas Rangers. I was scared sometimes with the violence of the police stories.

@StuckInMyGarage At age five I was scared out of my wits the first time I heard the voice of The Shadow - I freaked so badly my parents turned the radio off.

Cornel Wilde did many accents, most, but not all, of them were pretty good.
