Loved the video. We've been to Camp de Mar seven times. It is a quiet place but sometimes it's nice to just chill for a week in such a beautiful place. Bar Bagari just up the hill from Villa Real is another good option for lunch. We've stayed at Groupotel Playa Camp de Mar. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food has always been fitst class. 😊
You’ve quelled my curiosity on Camp de Mar. Often wondered what it was like. Love the sea chairs for sea access. Years ago whilst staying in Santa Ponsa my friend and I visited the busy market at Andrax. It was very hot walking around. After we visited Port Andrax where we saw some amazing yachts etc. However the few shops we saw were very expensive and clothes etc not in our price range. What we’d call a “posh” resort. Thank you Alex ❤️🐸
Currently in a villa in Pollença, never seen the island so busy. You have been reporting it was busy but never expected this . Everywhere you go is rammed and the roads are silly busy. Been here about a dozen times to the island and it Will be my last trip for a long time . Just to many people for me .
I stayed here twice during the 80’s, it was a fair bit smaller then, only two hotels ‘Hotel Playa and Hotel Lido’. There were no sun beds and a few bars and restaurants, it was a sleepy little resort back then and family oriented even when smoking was allowed (shock horror). I was hoping to return one day but now I’ve seen how it has developed, I’ll forget that plan. Spain and the Balearic Islands are trying so hard to fleece holiday makers I sincerely hope that tourists give it a wide berth in the future. 😡
If you re-read the very last part of your comment, I think that's actually a really horrible thing to say to all the people stuggling to work hard and make a living here. We also have a cost of living crisis - how can you expect costs to go up where you live and not here? Another one of the "you'll be begging us to come back" brigade 😏 Bye!
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun how you distorted my comments into having a pop at the hard working folks of Mallorca surprises me. I feel that the EU and the Spanish government are squarely to blame, not the ordinary folk. Regarding the ‘they’ll be begging us to come back brigade’, I’m not vain enough to think they will miss me, but any country that tourism makes a hefty contribution to their economy, shouldn’t bite the hand that feeds it. Spain isn’t the only country that is guilty of this but it is more prevalent in EU countries. It seems that obstacles are being used to deter people travelling, but maybe that’s the plan 🤷🏼♂️
Not twisting anything. I was referring to the last sentence of your previous comment. It doesn't sound very nice. But I do agree that maybe the obstacles will deter many, and that may be the plan. Who knows.
Hola Alex camp de Mar not for me the beach is too small and no old town also not many shops but worth a visit I love the bigger resorts like alcudia santa ponsa and pollensa I'm so looking forward to Saturdays visit to the island😂
Pros: Very pretty sea and nice sandy beach with soft sand. There is an Eroski restaurant very close to the beach and there is a place to charge your phone for free at the beach. Quiet and peaceful. Cons: Very few shops. Shop owners constantly outside their shops chain smoking. Bad sewer type smells that come up from the drains while you are at the beach or walking near or even inside the hotels near the beach. I have eaten on that restaurant that you get to via the bridge. It was okay, but nothing special and overpriced. Wouldn´t go back as the manager was quite sleazy.
I don't have time - I'm writing, filming, editing, trying to run the social media, trying to do the website, and trying to be a Mum, plus I've got my family in the UK too. If you have a holiday question, please pop it on the Facebook group... if I don't see it, others will! (really sorry I can't do any more....)
The beachfront of Camp de Mar is lovely. The view of the Restaurante Illeta always looks wonderful. Great video, thanks Alex.
Thanks Faith ! It was fun to make !
Me and my husband are coming here in 2 weeks time so thank you for showing us what it’s like hope the restaurant aren’t to expensive.

Lovely to see a resort we know really well Alex. It's not a resort for youngsters or shoppers so suits us perfectly. Love your videos❤❤
Yes! It's the perfect chill out and relax resort! And thank you!

Alex missed you in PP mid September perhaps next year, great vids
Definitely! And thanks!
Thanks for video
You're welcome Chris!
Camp de Mar is lovely, but a little quiet. Only an hour's walk from Paguera over the hiking trails.
Now that would make a lovely video over the winter!
Saludos 🤙

The few restuarants in Camp de Mar have gone upmarket sadly.
City tax or whatever they want call it 92 euros 2 people two weeks, disgraceful. Definitely doing g their best to not want us to come .
How did you calculate 92€???
23 something per person per week ...4 x23 ...92 , obviously more with the pence

Cracking video and great legs btw!
😂 LOL thanks
We stayed at the hotel but it used to be called Camp de mar hotel 🤔
I didn’t know that !
The Alure hotel was built after the Camp de Mar was demolished decades ago.
You don’t do insta messages I notice… 😢

@@MallorcaUnderTheSun no worries.
The Germans won't like that it is a smoke-free beach. Have you ever played golf there?
lol no !
Dont go brits , go to greece instead , cheaper better beaches and nicer locals 😊😊😊
