    • @radbug

Resentment is a tool designed to inform the individual of an error in the social structure they live in. Thats all it is. If you have resentment, there is an error in the social structure. It is caused by the social structure. Somehow you were convinced that it "mattered", whatever it is you resent, but guess what: it doesnt. Youve been fooled. it doesnt actually matter. what actually matters is the extreme imbalance of the social hierarchy. That is what your brain is trying to warn you about. That is why resentment exists.
all suffering is caused by poorly designed social-economic structures.

@@radbug you're description of resentment sounds resentful in itself. I agree resentment can be born from inequality or an error in social structure, but my personal experience and observation is that resentment more often comes from our own inability to meet a mark or make an achievement. Sometimes this inability is due to outside circumstance or inequality, and sometimes it's due to our own failures. Either way it seems best to avoid resenting society or existence seeing as the former disempowers you, whereas the latter does empower you even if it's a hard pill to swallow.
Resentment in one form or another is more likely to harm you than it is to harm the thing you resent or anything else.

I disagree, it depends what way you choose to take the jealous. Like all emotions, jealous has a productive purpose: it’s forcing you to look at someone who’s doing something you’re not and think “hmm what can I take on board from them to improve myself?” That’s healthy competition and it fires you up to get better.

A loser to me is someone not driven to succeed but someone dependant on failures. Life is a learning curve and a spiritual output is wetness to the bones and is blood to the veins. It drives one to succeed and connect with all senses. The power of faith is supernatural for someone looking to succeed in life and its a motivation for bad moments and let downs.

As a musician in his 20's I feel stuck in a halfway and I'm usually conscious about it. A lot of times I see someone who's way better or knows something and theres a part thats like "fuck why cant i do that? Why can they understand it so easy?" Then another part thats like "i can get better than them with diligence."
The biggest negative to the 'loser mentality' would be as an introvert, I find it very hard to not be jealous at people who get places because of their ability to connect and conversate with people. For me, its a lot harder to stay remembered even when I leave a lasting impression. They'll remember the well experience, but not my face.

sure i can copy another musician, listen to his music and then try to make my own sound like his... but what is the fucking point then? then i might aswell be a working man... it is no longer MY music... it is no longer what I, MARTIN MIKKELSEN brought to the world... now it is just an attempt at trying to achieve respect, money or power from others through music...
