Excellent CTC episode. SG has made a fine art of interviewing. And remarkable professionalism from the General, every after so many years of retirement. Look at how he handled the political questions. India owes its sustained democracy to this discipline of its armed forces, unlike those in the neighbourhood.

We need to buy our time to develop the infrastructure on the borders, arming ourselves with the right kind of advanced weaponry and above all strengthen our economy in the medium & long term. Economic might can only help us in good stead.

Time is the most important thing along with theatre commands. We need to buy time in order to stand a chance against Chinese.

After this CTC, we need to understand clearly that we can never take back POK and Aksai Chin and parts of Ladakh lost to China. There can only be some border settlement. In particular, our effective control line on China side is way inside our official map of 1954. What we have is a right to patrol beyond our effective control line for a few kilometers but that is much less than our official map borders. Hence, while our Parliament resolution and whatever Amit Shah said in 2019 apart, we need to prepare public opinion clearly for this reality. Under Modi, no land has been transgressed where we had effective control but transgression was in the LAC part. We have lost effectively some 40 thousand square kms after 1962 and some more within the LAC area till 2013. In Pangang So, we have now pushed Chinese back to April 2020. That's it! So let us all be practical and defend what we have resolutely and hope for a settlement in due course. Thanks General for making this clear to SG and other sickulars in this CTC. Hope Rahul watches (and understands) this!!!!

It is time that India develops its economy and become a first world country. This automatically gives us enough funds to develop our armed forces by reducing manpower and bringing in people who stay at home and contribute to the armed forces through their intelligence. We should develop new tools to fight a war which could debilitate or paralyse a country thus warning them the capability without using material force. In this aspect we should go beyond cyber wars of the current by developing new forms like able to stop all moving objects in a country all at once thus hitting at a level that the enemy will think twice before making any move. The Indian mind is unique and we should develop for our needs than to be used by other countries. At present we are at the lowest level but the future is very bright for India.

But why do we have to hold on to Kashmir against the wishes of the people of Kashmir. Why do we want to colonize them and rule over them? Why cant let them rule themselves? Is it necessary to constantly brutalize them and rule with an iron hand? Where is our humanity and democratic values and posturing of the largest democracy and so on while Kashmir has no say in his own affairs. They are not coming to rule our UP or Bihar why do we want to rule over them. Truth? What rubbish. What about Indian leadership truth and trust. India could be wrong too!

We’re you trying to garner some information for Chinese PLA from the Malik sahab? All in all he said that he liked Mori Govt approach today and Kargil times, to fight the enemy (both times BJP Govt)!! Great job by GOI💪💪👍👏👏

I want General Malik to answer, is how long will we allow Pakistan the luxury of dictating terms on cross border issues like violating the ceasefire or promoting terrorism or fighting a proxy war. After 73 long years should we not say 'enough is enough'. Who calls the shots in that country is nobody's concern. It is their problem whether the civilian or military leadership should control the establishment. We do not want our peace or tranquility to be disturbed at any cost. Our policy on China too should be likewise. This is notwithstanding the fact that all three are nuclear powers.

  • @anujkhare1234

With due respect..why are we still buying weapons from Russia, Israel, France and USA at the same time?? Don't they know these weapons were never designed to work together e.g. Fitting Israeli radar and jammer in Russian plane which instead of jamming enemy planes jams its own. Similarly buying limited rifles from different vendors..do they not understand economy of scale..and then crying there is shortage of funds.. how are they going to integrate our jugaad weaopns with American systems..these are topics that need to be discussed
