I really dislike what they did with Peter Pan, they took the story of his original VA Bobby Driscol (?) and put it into the movie, for those who don't know: Peter Pans VA gotten older and they kicked him out of disney, he started doing drugs and eventually died of an overdose, instead of justifying their shitty behavior they completely ignored it and instead made this shit.
Should Disney have offered Bobby another job instead of "Peter Pen"? Probably. But since the child is no longer a child and Disney didn't have suitable roles for him (plus with the appearance of acne, it became difficult to make up a teenager), it's logical to conclude that dealing with Bobby has become economically unprofitable. Can we still blame Disney for their behavior? Maybe. But not that much. I would blame his parents more, who never helped Bobby to get over the loss of his job, bulling at school and adapt to life.

If anything, I thought one of the objectively best things to come out of Turbo was TJ. TJ being introduced as clear leader/red ranger material despite having only been seen in one episode and Tommy only knowing him after being saved by him in that same episode was really clever on the writers part. He clearly sees the good in people like Bulk & Skull despite their tendency to be boorish & selfish and is willing to risk his own life to save someone he just met. It also carries over to In Space despite him not being the leader anymore yet still carrying himself as one practically being second in command when Andros goes off on one of his “finding his sister” missions.

I'm going to be honest, I really thought it was inappropriate the way they made Peter Pan the villain. Now hear me out, if you read about what happened to the actor after Disney had used him, and how he had died tragically from, let's just say he was the original child star tragedy. And the fact that his grave has not been found because he was buried as a homeless person an unknown grave, shows how he had spoiled after Disney basically cut them off without schooling and aspirations for a career outside of film . And the fact that he also did the voice of Peter Pan as his last role before he got booted without any credit or financial support, it's just felt wrong
What bothers me about CATS, from what I’ve seen and heard, is that the animation team gets most of the flak, when they really busted their rears to do what they could when they were given 3 months to animate it all, IIRC. Also, the music is AWFUL. I don’t know who thought that having the orchestra of dozens following the singers of 1-2 at a time was a good idea, but they shouldn’t be allowed to make musical decisions anymore.
The animation team did okay for the time they were given. The real mistake was made by the producers and designers. If they were going to do THAT MUCH CGI, they would have done better just to make it FULLY ANIMATED.
I dislike how instead of using their own characters they just insulted other characters using them, I mean yeah it works but cmon Disney it's a little insulting to do this to other characters that weren't directly yours

He moved out at 16, enrolling in UCLA and Stanford but he dropped out of both due to being lost. he once said in an 1961 magazine, “I wish I could say that my childhood was a happy one, but I wouldn't be honest.”
He became broke, and homeless, with nobody there to save him. In 1968, he died from substance abuse, hardened arteries, in an abandoned tenement in NYC. His body was unknown and went unclaimed. After finding the cause of death to be from substance abuse, they buried him in an unmarked grave on the Bronx’s Hart Island with other unidentified bodies.
Truly heartbreaking that Disney has never mentioned him ever after his death even though he was once their biggest child actor.
I wish he had gotten the respect he deserved from disney and not be represented like how Sweet Pete is. The only reason people are talking about him again is because of this movie, which is truly sad. its like the whole world abandoned him

I really dislike what they did with Peter Pan, they took the story of his original VA Bobby Driscol (?) and put it into the movie, for those who don't know: Peter Pans VA gotten older and they kicked him out of disney, he started doing drugs and eventually died of an overdose, instead of justifying their shitty behavior they completely ignored it and instead made this shit.
Should Disney have offered Bobby another job instead of "Peter Pen"? Probably. But since the child is no longer a child and Disney didn't have suitable roles for him (plus with the appearance of acne, it became difficult to make up a teenager), it's logical to conclude that dealing with Bobby has become economically unprofitable.
Can we still blame Disney for their behavior? Maybe. But not that much.
I would blame his parents more, who never helped Bobby to get over the loss of his job, bulling at school and adapt to life.

If anything, I thought one of the objectively best things to come out of Turbo was TJ. TJ being introduced as clear leader/red ranger material despite having only been seen in one episode and Tommy only knowing him after being saved by him in that same episode was really clever on the writers part. He clearly sees the good in people like Bulk & Skull despite their tendency to be boorish & selfish and is willing to risk his own life to save someone he just met. It also carries over to In Space despite him not being the leader anymore yet still carrying himself as one practically being second in command when Andros goes off on one of his “finding his sister” missions.

I'm going to be honest, I really thought it was inappropriate the way they made Peter Pan the villain. Now hear me out, if you read about what happened to the actor after Disney had used him, and how he had died tragically from, let's just say he was the original child star tragedy. And the fact that his grave has not been found because he was buried as a homeless person an unknown grave, shows how he had spoiled after Disney basically cut them off without schooling and aspirations for a career outside of film . And the fact that he also did the voice of Peter Pan as his last role before he got booted without any credit or financial support, it's just felt wrong
They have huge gaul to poke fun at ugly characters when their own cast is equally horrendously designed.
What bothers me about CATS, from what I’ve seen and heard, is that the animation team gets most of the flak, when they really busted their rears to do what they could when they were given 3 months to animate it all, IIRC.
Also, the music is AWFUL. I don’t know who thought that having the orchestra of dozens following the singers of 1-2 at a time was a good idea, but they shouldn’t be allowed to make musical decisions anymore.
The animation team did okay for the time they were given. The real mistake was made by the producers and designers.
If they were going to do THAT MUCH CGI, they would have done better just to make it FULLY ANIMATED.
