One thing about the Pixel 6, it handles reds and yellows so nice. And the detail it has in all these shots when you crop in. Amazing

A clear win for the Pixel 6 for rear camera stills. The results seem more natural and more detailed. We the viewers have to guess which is more natural because we aren't there to see the original subjects of your pictures. We also see your results through the intermediary of RUclips compression. For those two reasons I appreciate your sharing your opinion with us.

Great work man! I hope OnePlus upgrades the telephoto lens next year, but other than that I'm happy with the results on the wide and ultrawide. Nightscape held up pretty well against nightsight. Years ago the pixel would smoke the OnePlus cameras, but I'm glad OnePlus has shortened that gap. It's impressive at how much they've improved in such a short time. I want to give the pixel the W for ease of use and more details in some scenarios, but the 9 pro has so many weapons ( high resolution, XPan, macro..) It comes down to preference, needs and skill imo.

One plus 7 pro and the og moto x are probably my favorite smartphones of all time, but one plus should have just stayed in the value segment because they just can't compete with hi end camera phones. Hands down the Pixel 6 Pro, not even close. I've used OnePlus devices since the beginning up to the 9 Pro, OnePlus are more interested in pushing out fancy looking phones. In order to take a decent photo on a OnePlus phone you have to remain still, any subtle movement will cause the photos to be blurry.
Those saying OnePlus takes good photos only want that to be the case, it's not true.
OnePlus is merging with Oppo, the OnePlus brand is fading away. Oxygen OS is merging with Color OS which is being replaced by Real ME OS.

    • @GrantLikesTech

I don't mind OnePlus merging their codebase more with OPPO as it should give them more agility in updates, and hopefully even better cameras since OPPO puts out very nice cameras in their branded phones.

1+ has better audio response. Also, it does no blow out the white fur in some areas of your dog portraits.
Unless you have rosacea, I definitely give the skin tone to the 1+.
Lowlight goes to the 1+ on all main lenses.
Video is pretty much a tie.
For double the memory at a $100 less, the 9 Pro is the better choice unless one needs greater than 3.3X telephoto.
The processing in both these cameras though really makes me consider a Sony Experia I at twice the price, but with glass lenses, the 1" sensor, the more sophisticated camera controls, the headphone/microphone and the SD card slot, 4K screen and 512GB on board memory.

From an average consumer point of view, there won't be such a massive difference. Both will be taking pleasing photos, especially OP9 with slight boost in saturation and contrast
If you go into details, there is a difference. OP lacking in details and overblowing the highlights quite a lot. Pixel has it's flaws, i was surprised with the portrait mode particularly where the object separation seems to be great on the OnePlus. Color science on the OP is also weird at glance, can't put my finger (eye) on it.
Pixel doing Pixel stuff - strong contrast, bunch of details, nice improvement in the video segment. Dynamic range is just off the charts, fantastic imho. Definitely Not so wide with its ultrawide camera. Weird lag when processing Pixel photos after the shutter, but the computational stuff produces wonders.
Selfies are amazing on the Google phone, kinda meh on the OP.
Overall Pixel has the upper hand.
Great job Mr Grant, keep up the good work.

I have done the msm flash and the factory reset afterwards and was hoping to see an improvement straight away which wouldn't come...just on the same day, an owner of 1+9 pro told me not to worry and wait for a couple of days for the phone to optimise. It's been the 3 days since I did the msm flash but nothing changes....my screen still lives on average only 4 hours while I am just scrolling through the feed of social media. May I have done smth wrong in this way? Are there any other ways out? I tested my battery in antutu and it's around 95% of its capacity which is a new battery.

OnePlus 9 Pro definitely wins imo. Pixel tends to over-sharpen, which i don't like, and colours don't look as natural as on 9 Pro.
The only thing that Pixel is better at is front camera and higher lvl's of zoom. 9 Pro's front camera sucks.

Respect your opinion but...OP9 pro natural colours?...😥. I think they are sooooooo over saturated 🤔

True, the 9 Pro front camera still isn't great. It does have a longer zoom range, but the processing up to the Pixel's max 20x isn't as good.

Yes, edge detection seems to be an issue especially with harsher, direct light. Softer light seems fine.

😳It was not a vs but a correction.
It's like putting a professional heavyweight against an amateur featherweight 😅.
Even the normal Pixel 6 is better than this One Plus 9 Pro.
It's going to get really hot for One Plus, especially since they no longer have that Android Stock interface which was a bit their specificity.
The only ones able to compete with Google in photo-video today are Vivo, Samsung and Apple.
Ps: On the other hand, it is clear that the Ultra wide angle sensor of the One Plus is better than that of the Pixel, but we really only see it in night video.

Actually I don't think anything can stand to Vivo at the moment, and also I don't think Samsung or Apple fit in that comparison at all. Vivo got amazing level of detail and natural shots, while these others produce overprocessed garbage, which only looks good when viewed on the mobile screen without ever cropping in.
