you have to keep an eye on your oil temp. at 08:44 its way above 120 Degrees. At 130 Degrees the car goes in emergency mode an shuts down completly! Had the same issuie with mine
If we're talking Fahrenheit, 180F is normal driving, 220F if you're pushing it is normal. At 280F the manual recommends you reduce RPM and drive at a reduced speed.
Nice driving! Limp Mode comes with 140°C, but over 120°C you can feel the loss of Power. I had an 2009 370Z for 3month and I have to say there where so much Problems on the Track. For Example in Spa on Paul Frère-Corner the Fuelpump sucks Air if your Fuellevel is under half. Or on another warm Day I was at Zandvoort and in the first Session after 3 Laps the Clutchfluid boiled and the Clutchpedal did came back only about 50%. One Hour later after cool up I drove out again and on the second Lap I hat the same trouble(Shifting was still possible). I decided to do 1more Lap and try do go for at least one reasonably good Laptime, but on the next Lap Oiltemp. raised to 140°C and the Car has gone in Limpmode. In that moment I decidet to get rid of the Car. There are some other weaknesses with these Cars, like the weak Engine, the limited slip Diff that locks very delayed, the noisy Transmissions. Nevertheless it is a cool Car, aspecially the NISMO-Version. But it could have been so much better!
@@royjaber571 You have to install new oil cooler, fuel pump kit to fix fuel starvation in right side corners, and have to upgrade clutch slave lines to be protected from the heat. It is so pathetic that Nissan ask crazy money for this car in Europe but refuse to solve these well known terrible flaws from 2009 to 2020. Then Japanese cry how sports car market is dying in Europe. Of course when they sell overpriced trash, we are not stupid.

@@nathantaylor4043 It is $60K in central Europe, and $75K in southern europe because of stringent emissions taxes and that engine is a very big pollutant. When they ask such premium price you expect they don't sell you a car which overheats first sunny day in southern europe. I love these cars, my problem is with Nissan.

I have a black 370Z Nismo and YES the oil temp is well worth keeping an eye on ! 😂 A bigger oil cooler would sort the issue but I have had trouble finding one that will fit a Nismo because the Yamaha torsional damper rod gets in the way. Any ideas anyone ? Really nice driving btw mate !
Yea I thought the same, it looked like it went close to 130c It is annoying that nissan didn't address that isuue from the factory, a short pull in mine or getting stuck in traffic makes it go from 90-95 to 110c, I know it doesn't go into limp mode unless it goes over 138c but it was still uncomfortable to push it

Nobody who knows this car and track ...2nd gear does not make sense on this track with this car. On 3rd gear you have a lot of power for clear passing a turn ;)

Yes. This is up to everyone whether they decide to have a coverall and a helmet or not because this is not a track but an open one-way road with normal road traffic rules. But without cops with radar for high speed :) thats all. but you are otherwise right

You can throw some money into your Z. Put a stroker in it, some suspension and end up with a serious competitor for the 911.

stock limp mode is set at 145 degrees plus
I thought it went in to limp mode after the oil temperature went over 260F
I hit the limp mode around 245F on my stock oil cooling setup

I have a 2008 G37, basically a lesser 370. I'll admit, she's old....but these VQ engines are still GREAT engines.
