fantastic Rob really interesting, I want to design something for 2 stroke racing fuel injection fly by wire, cheers
Outstanding design on both concepts, Rob! I'm looking forward to your next installment on this.
Thats cool. Just the fact is that this idea is/ was used at least in rallycros.
About 7-8 years ago at least. Specificaly- 1.6 liter class na FF hot hothatches . There used to come at least a few different ones to rent our dyno in the shop i used to work. (Lithuania -so not a major motorsport country)
According to tunner - these had a better part throtle control as compared to other the "non butterfly" " throtle bodys (sliding type or single barrel).
those always looked super cool to me.
Complimenti,un ottimo
Progetto!!
Amazing work rob. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Forge On. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making God Bless.
That's awesome Rob! I would love one of those on my C7 Z06!!! :D
I love both the look and the functionality of this design. However, I've heard barrel throttle bodies can be non linear - is this true, and if so, is it rectifiable?
This is such an incredible idea. It’s unfortunate that theres a halt to future combustion ran passenger vehicles. Good thing they didn't mention anything about bikes!
as much as i like this, theres still... something... iunno. experience of RC and leaking around the barrels themselves. and theyre only 15mm or so.
i guess its all alloy so the coefficient of expansions working in your favour.
i saw no allowance for synching/balancing? still, the little hex couplers and the spacer plates could be tweaked to give the ability...
i guess its down to end use as well. dont need balance if its for drag, do ya? who cares about a lumpy idle?as long as they open, right?
oh well. nice to see my approach is still secure in its originality ;) doing something else entirely.
"20 years to finish it"...
yep. sounds about right, too.... lol. back shelf projects...
i think it is time for Rob too collab with his youtube double JaysTwoCents he is into car tuning and stuff, but i dont know if he would be interested in that, at least he knows people that might be interested in testing the throttle bodies.
Wow! Solves a problem in an invatove way. What is next?
E stato progettato solo per le auto?
No for all engines
This is amazing!
This going to be some serious stuff for naturally aspirated performance vehicle, there are people looking into squeezing as much last bits of power gain as possible.
Are you going to make this available for the public? Just curious.
I’m hopping on making it available this year , thanks for watching
